My wife and I have both bought vehicles through don
My wife and I have both bought vehicles through don johnson. I had an appointment for my wife’s vehicle to be fixed for the 3rd time for the same issue. The night before the appointment, my truck throws a check engine light. Next morning I checked and it had no oil in it. So I called don johnson and told them, they asked if I could bring it in to be looked at at 10-10:30 am. So I dropped it off in the morning and returned at 1 for my wife’s appointment. My truck was still sitting there and hasn’t been looked at. I asked the shop manager if I would have to pay the deductible again if it was the same issue with my wife’s car (the last time it was in was the week before, resulting in a $350 bill and check engine light came back on the next day) he told me he agreed and would work something out. After an hour, they said they pulled the code and it was the same code it had the last time, I even had a picture to prove it dating before my previous appointment. They told me it was a different issue and I needed to pay the deductible again. I refused to pay it, so they tried charging me a service fee, I told them I am not paying anything so he brought the manager back. I tried showing the manager my photo and he said he didn’t want to see it. At this point I’m getting mad and asked what they plan on doing with my truck with no oil in it and said they were the only ones who have ever serviced it. I was told I didn’t need to be getting upset, so I asked for my wife’s car back. They both immediately ran and took both vehicles out. I asked what I was supposed to do with my truck with no oil in it, and they just said I asked for it.. I left with my wife’s car and left my truck there, assuming it was where I bought it and they should fix it. I tried calling the GM of Cumberland, but he was not there. So I called the GM at the rice lake location, not sure what else I was supposed to do beings this was Friday and I still needed to get to work on Monday. He said he would personally check into it and call me back. I didn’t hear back from him. So, I picked my truck back up on Sunday which was sitting unlocked with my keys in it in the lot. I know it’s not their stuff, but you would think being a big dealership they wouldn’t leave it like that. I took it to work Monday and it overheated on my way, so I had to pull over for the engine to cool so I could finish the last couple miles at 4 am.. I got a call back from the Cumberland gm Monday morning. He said they had ways to work around a deductible, but wasn’t offering to fix it (my wife’s car). When I asked if I had to pay it again, he said by all rights I should. So I said I would rather pay another license dodge tech if I had to to bring it somewhere else. I asked about my truck, and he said they planned on looking at it Monday but it wasn’t there anymore. A simple call back would’ve been nice on that. But if that was the plan, do they just leave all vehicles unlocked with keys in them over the weekend then? Didn’t seem like that was there plan to me… I wound up taking it to link ford in rice lake, it was super easy to transfer my extended warranty. And they have been great about the whole thing. They wound up finding all my oil dumped into my coolant. It seems like there is a big issue with my truck, and don johnson basically refused to even look at it.. This is only the most recent issue, I have ranted long enough and don’t need to write down the others, this one topped it off for me.. If I could rate them with 0 stars I would, but sadly I just want to get this out there being it is really all I can do about it.. needless to say, I won’t be dealing with Don Johnson anymore. There are plenty of car dealerships out there to have to deal with such poor, inconsiderate customer service.

The General Manager was unaware of the issue regarding my review 12/24/2024. He has come up with a solution regarding the connectivity. He reached out to me. Good customer service and would recommend Cumberland Don Johnson Motors. Third new vehicle we have purchased from them and will return.

We were led to believe by the salesman that we would have remote start always, and that wasn’t true. After three month Trial it was discontinued and you had to pay $15 a month thereafter. 2024 Jeep grand Cherokee off the showroom. Very disappointing

Our 2018 1500 Ram was towed to the Dodge dealer in Hayward 12/10/23. The first of the year our truck was taken to Don Johnson's in Cumberland as the Hayward dealership had been purchased by Johnson. From that time until early March we were told countless tales or ignored by Kyle and Cortland (both worked at Don Johnson in Cumberland). In early March management got involved and March 20 our truck was returned. They tried to charge us $500 on a $0 deductible insurance policy. It has to have been the worst experience we've ever had with any car dealership.

I was searching for a 2023 Last Call SPWB Challenger.
I was searching for a 2023 Last Call SPWB Challenger. Ray Nelson, guided me through the order process, ensured I know all the options I needed and then kept me informed through the 6 month wait it took for this amazing car to arrive. He was so passionate about the car and even stayed late the night it arrived to take photos and secure the car. When I went to take delivery it was better than I ever imagined. The entire purchasing process was streamlined, kind, welcoming, and customer focused. If you need a new vehicle, stop looking around and go to Don Johnson...you want a Mopar performance machine - Ask for Ray!

We've worked with Ray Nelson, Brent Craine, Bob Cifaldi, and the rest of the Don Johnson's Cumberland team for years and that won't be changing anytime soon! Recently moved about 2 hours away and STILL come back for all our service and new vehicles because we know we will always be taken care of and treated like family.
