Great used car buying experience

Buying a used car at Glen Polk supercenter was a fast and easy car buying experience. Frank the salesman answered all my questions honestly before I drove 1.5 to see the car. I would recommend this dealership and Frank to my friends.

WORST Buying Experience

Had a hard time giving this one star. Absolute worst car buying experience we've ever had. We traded our Dodge Ram in for a 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 HD online and had it delivered to our home four hours away (which seemed great) until we took it for its first test drive, the dash rattled, the fog lights didn't work, the check engine light came on, and a notice to service the parking assist system. Within two hours of owning the vehicle we were sitting at AutoZone having the error code pulled. We took it to our local GMC dealer, per Glenn Polk Ford's request, and there it sat for three days while they tried to determine what was wrong with it. They ended up having to come get it and take it back to their service department for repairs. The lack of communication on their end had us pretty worried that we had made a big mistake. We inquired about the Dodge we had traded in, and they (of course) had already sold it. No one wants to spend $50K on a truck and then be told "at some point you have to realize you bought a used truck." The service manager was less than pleasant to work with, and he seemed very defensive that we had service issues with the truck. My husband also spoke to Connor Polk, and he was very reassuring on the phone, but then ignored our outreach from then on. The truck was finally returned to us this past week. Took it to Discount Tire this morning to learn that it'll need new tires. There a hole in one of the tires and the steel belt is exposed on another. Talk about blow after blow. Painful process and we'll do ourselves a favor next time and shop local. We trusted this dealership and they let us down.

Dear Mr. & Mrs. LaFuente, I am Very Sorry to hear that what is supposed to be an extremely easy and fun experience, has caused you to feel the way you do. It is absolutely never our intention to sell a vehicle that we think will have issues immediately arise, on the flip side of that, unfortunately it is a fact that when dealing with so much technology & moving parts that make up today's vehicles... issues do come up that are out of our control. NEVER would we wish to leave someone out to dry and not help though.....ESPECIALLY in a situation like you have encountered and issues came up almost immediately.. This is why I felt like myself, your salesperson, the Ford service manager, and Chevy Service manager worked as hard as we could to make this situation right. After communicating with the service department in Austin, and realizing that you were not going to be provided with a "loaner vehicle" anytime soon and that they were not going to be able to xxxxx your truck in as quick of a manner as we could... we immediately sent a driver with a new Truck to Austin. Once we got your truck back, we put it to the first of the line in our shop and immediately began working on getting it all to the standard of what you paid for. It is very unfortunate that after everything, a nail in the tire, in conjunction, with the other items you've had to deal with- Has caused you to feel it necessary to leave us a rating of One Star. I absolutely hate to see that that is how you feel, especially after stating that a Big Reason you purchased from us was due to the fact that we had so many Great Reviews. In regards to the lack of complete communication between myself and Mike, that is a fairly accurate statement. After speaking with you sir, I made it Very Clear to My Service Director and Everyone else involved, the importance of updating you completely through the entire process. Which is why you would receive a phone call from him, anytime that you had a question about the status of a repair, that I honestly did not know the exact answer to. So, basically I trusted in my team to complete everything that they needed to do and go above and beyond to do it all in a manner that wasted as little of your time and caused you the most minimal stress possible. I believe that by making two trips to Austin, handling all known issues, and completing the repairs in an extremely quicker fashion, than what was promised by your local dealer.. we all did exactly what we were supposed to. Great Experience!!!

The transaction was smooth. The salesman (Larry) was knowledgeable and friendly. The whole sale that included a trade-in took about 1hr and 15 minutes. I would highly recommend Glen Polk Autoplex..
