NO PEACE OF MIND - THEY SOLD ME THREE WARRANTIES AND

NO PEACE OF MIND - THEY SOLD ME THREE WARRANTIES AND HONORED NONE OF THEM. Early last year, my wife and I found out she was pregnant with my first child. I decided to trade in my truck to get hour out of her sedan and into an SUV. After searching, we settled on a 2020 Nissan Pathfinder for its safety features and space. There was one available at Sandy Sansing in Foley. I texted the salesman and let him know I would be heading over from Mississippi. When I arrived, the salesman brought me out to the car that I had scheduled to see and it was dirty, inside and out. Not what you would expect as a dealership. The salesman profusely apologized and said if we decided to get this vehicle, we could bring it back and get it detailed in the next two week. This was late in the day and the service department had left. I really like the vehicle so we started discussing terms and warranties. The vehicle was covered by a factory Nissan warranty, an extended warranty, and a warranty that the dealership was offering at the time. Three warranties. All purchased on April 8th, 2023. By the end of the month, the vehicle backing spewing white smoke out of the tailpipe. The vehicle didn’t even last a full 30 days before I was having to call the dealership. I brought the car in and they said that the engine would need to be “de-slugged” and that it would cost me $800. I asked to speaker to the manager, who told me he would split the cost with me. I argued that I shouldn’t be splitting the cost of anything with a major dealership who had just sold me a car with three warranties. He agreed to cover the cost of the “de-slugging” which he described as a slightly more involved oil change. They had the car for about a week. Less than a month later, the car was smoking again. My pregnant wife had to drive it down this time. The dealership once again said they would take care of it. They kept it 2 weeks. This happened a few times up until August. I kept getting service manager and the dealership manager on the phone and finally they told me what whatever was wrong with it wasn’t covered under warranty. As the vehicle had 3 warranties, I couldn’t believe this. I drove to the dealership taking another day off of work to do so and spoke with the manager of the service department. He called the SS dealership that the car was transferred from on speakerphone and they insinuated that they knew something was up with it before they sent it to SS in Foley. The service manager then stated that it would be possible for the general manager of the dealership to “unwind” the deal and make it like it never happened. I finally had hope after all of these months that my problem might be solved. So I waited hours for the general manger Tony Coogle to meet with him in person. I had spoken to him several times on the phone in the past. The service manager found me in the lobby and said that Tony was here and we could go talk to him. I walked into his office and the first thing he said was he would not be unwinding the deal. I asked him how I could be having so much trouble dealing with a name brand dealership. He said it didn’t matter. The warranty issue was something I should have seen coming. I said that’s why I got a car from a name brand dealership with three warranties. I never expected to be treated so poorly and left without a working car and that they should have taken care of this months earlier to save myself and my then pregnant wife so much trouble. He said that buying a used car was “luck of the draw” and that I just got unlucky. I never expected this from a mutli-million dollar Sandy Sansing This was the same or worse than buying from a “buy here pay here”. They traded the vehicle for 2017 INFINITY QX80. 11 months and 10,000 miles later, that is now in the shop with exhaust issues and the warranty Sandy Sansing sold me, which I was again assured was a great warranty and meant for INFINITYs doesn't cover the problem and it will be $3,500 for parts.

Stopped by and ask about an oil change on a 95 jeep, one oil filter and 4 quarts of oil! The service guy had to stand there and think about it for a while, I ask don’t you have a set price for conventional oil change? He finally said oh about $88. I’ve been lied to before a couple years ago by the service manager, stopped by with my 18 Ram a couple months ago, same lying manager still there! I won’t be back

Very dissatisfied with the customer service,

Very dissatisfied with the customer service, communication and quality of worksmanship by the paint crew at Sandy Sansing Jeep in Foley, AL. Bought a brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee L and upon delivery noted to the sales team and Manager paint issues on the door edge of the driver door. After assurances that this would be properly repaired, we took delivery and left. Paint personnel only come on Thursdays, no appointments, went to the dealership on the specified Thursday only to find out that the painter did not come in. Went on the next Thursday that I was available and left the vehicle. Received call that the jeep was ready. Upon inspection of the repair, it looked like a child had attempted to color the area that needed repair. Not acceptable. The dealership wanted me to have this redone at the Pensacola dealership where they have a better paint shop. I said that based on the quality of work performed, I would not trust them to repair/repaint this properly. I was afraid that I would end up with a door that wouldn’t match the others based on the previous work performed. I offered a different option to put a option on the vehicle that I would like. No response after multiple attempts. I would at least have hoped for a phone call, this is a $65k vehicle. After sales service is unacceptable.
