I had a nice experience at McGrath Honda of St Charles. Maxwell Lizotte was very professional and kind. He never pressured me into buying a car. They have a lot of cars from where I could choose from. At the end I didn't end up buying a car there, since I couldn't find a perfect match for me, but I will totally consider this dealer for my next purchase.

Great experience
One of the best experiences we had buying a car. We went in just to take a look at a used SUV. It was listed as the second best price with the 3rd lowest miles around. Thought it was too good to be true. We stopped at the dealership and went straight to look at it. Very good shape for the year. Went in to ask to take it for a test drive and was approached by a Salesman Alec Polivka. Great young man, easy to talk to and polite. Gathered our information, pulled the car around, and went along with us for the drive. After getting back, we started the 'dreaded' process of negotiating a price. Not the bad experience you hear horror stories about. This is where we were introduced to the Sales Manager. Brent Reeves came and asked what he could do for us. He wanted to close the sale. We had a little give and take, but came to a price that was where I wanted to be at for the total price. Again very polite, easy to deal with, and quick with any answers to our questions. Now I have to say at this point is where I started to get nervous. I have read other reviews that the finance department was not up to rest of the standards of sales department. This is where George Othon came to get us to give us the low down on the final price and payments. Accurate, efficient, easy going, and funny. We didn't want any extra warranties of protection added to the costs of the purchase. I was relived when we did not get the hard sell on trying to get the add-ons at the end of the sale. Payment was less than what we were quoted before on the sales floor. This was a pleasant surprise, usually it goes the other way at dealerships and try to squeeze every last cent out of the deal. The only odd part was the layout of the inside of the showroom. This is so low on the list I didn't even want to mention it. I don't believe everything in the review should be positive, but I needed to stretch to put in something that I didn't like. I may or may not receive the best deal around. It felt like I did and it was in our budget. Our last car was purchased at the Elgin McGrath location. That was a average experience where this was a great experience.

missing wheel lock key
I am here to give a thumbs up to Sales person Chance Drake for helping me out with a problem about missing Wheel lock key. I bought my 2017 Honda Civic sport hatchback back in July 2017. They have a mcgrath advantage for a free year of service. So they are the ones whos servicing my car, After a year, I'm on my own, I am attempting to rotate my tire thats when I found out I am missing the wheel lock key. I never touch my car for service and they are the only ones who serviced my car. So I immediately went to the dealer to asked for a key. Mr. Chance Drake is the one I approached. I told him my situation and immediately help me. Looked at my tire and try to find a wheel lock key spare. He even asked for other tech Matt, and they all went to check my tire with some other techs that I failed to asked for their names. I truly appreciate their help. After a couple of minutes at back and forth looking for the right key, finally Chance found a spare key and I was expecting to pay some for it. But he just give it for free. I was surprised he did that. I am not there for service and he didn't hesistate to help me. I know it sounds like "it's just a key no big deal" but if you're in my situation. After a year you just found out that your missing a wheel lock key and it's hard for you to convince them that you did not lost it and blame to them. He understand my situation and helped me immediately and that where I am mostly impressed at. He did exemplary job and because of that I will purchase my next car with him in the future. I don't usually write reviews especially long ones but this is some situation that you must give creditr to someone who did something special to customers. Chance Drake is that man for me. Highly recommend when you do business on this dealership. Thumbs up!

Terrible experience.
Terrible experience. Was called into see a vehicle without it being there twice. Wasted 2.5 hours and was treated disrespectfully by middle-aged finance man. Left.

Do not ever buy or request service from this dealer
We purchased a Honda late last year. First month , sensor malfunctioned and hatch froze up refused to open. Wrote numerous emails and a chat to dealer no response. Kept receiving nonsensical marketing but not a single courtesy call or email response. Go for first oil change to different Honda dealer find out that air and cabin filter missing. Call up Mc Grath Honda St. Charles only to be told how do you know the other Honda dealers did not remove the filters? Be very careful Honda, about the dealers you accept. This will probably be the last Honda we buy at this rate.

bad service over charged
They should have knowledge of dmv rules. They charges and they charged again for their fault as the finance department lady doesnt have knowlege what is the procedure for transfering plates Will not visit again this location

Really good experience
We went to several Honda dealerships before we found the car we wanted and were so happy that we found it here. Everything about this dealership is first rate. Their cars are great. Out salesperson, Carlos, was up front, honest and truly helpful. He showed us things about used cars that we did not know. I have been buying cars for 43 years and I am sure I am going to give Carlos the first shot at the next one I buy. But, it is not just the Salesperson that impressed me. The whole team was very professional, friendly and helpful. Best car buying experience I have had.

Service issue I have has been ignored 5 times.
I spoke with customer care rep & sent Email. No response. Called & Emailed G.M no response. Called service mgr & promised a call on Monday...still waiting...it Tuesday late afternoon.
