Great! With a few exceptions
First of all, let me start by saying I had the unfortunate experience of owning 2 of the 2018 Q5 models. My first 2018 Q5 was brand new. However, 3 days after purchasing the vehicle, my engine blew out. Audi replaced the vehicle. The second 2018 Q5 has been flawless. I have 20,000 miles on it, I love it to death with a few exceptions. - I didn't know that when I got the ventilated seats, I got sport seats along with the car. If you're a bigger individual, skip out on the sport seats and ventilated seats (they don't work well anyway). - Both the heated and ventilated seats don't work well with the sports seats. I've heard the heated seats work much better on the standard seats (there are no ventilated seats offered on the standard seats). - the cupholders are small. This is a minor complaint, but still worth bringing up in my opinion. -My ambient lighting brightness is different from the front half and the back half of the vehicle. I mean visibly different! I have both the settings turned to full, but the back ambient lights are brighter than the front. I get this brought up every single time someone sits in my car and sees the front versus the back lights. -no massaging seats available.... xxx Audi. -the 2018 version doesn't have a wireless charger, 2019 has resolved this. The good... - I love the xxxx engine. For a 4 cylinder, it exceeds my expectations from a vehicle. - pretty decent towing if needed. -wonderful all-wheel-drive system. We had a terrible winter here, my Ford pickup ( 2015 F350) had problems going around with all season tires. My Audi had no problem going around with all season tires. This was shocking! I knew it would be good, I didn't think it would be that good. -switching to sport does give a different drive feel. It's slightly weaker than what I would expect... Nevertheless, it does make the car feel faster and hold the revs for longer. - good sound isolation, no complaints whatsoever. Those double paneled windows help quite a bit.

My wife won't drive anything else
Handles amazing well. Has all the latest safety devices plus a few toys that we never use. Plenty of front seat space but rear seat slightly cramped.

Functional and fun to drive
The car meets all my needs from a function standpoint plus it is fun to drive. It has great acceleration and body roll its negligible. Gas mileage is as advertised, which is exemplary for a car with this kind of performance. I was hesitant in buying a four cylinder engine in a vehicle of this size and weight, but the performance is so much better than the six cylinder I had in the Lexus RX350 that I had right before this car. One major plus for the Audi is it always seems to be in the right gear for accelerating from a start or on the highway. There is no lag in waiting for the transmission to shift or for the turbo to kick in. Plus there are so many ways to set the way the car for shifting, steering feedback and suspension that it is nearly impossible not to find the right setting for any given situation. Functionally, there is plenty of room for four full-sized people and luggage, boxes, golf clubs or whatever else you want to throw in the back. The only minus that I have noted so far is the lack of interior storage for small items. The glovebox is plenty big, but the console has very limited storage capacity and the doors do not have a very functional bins for storing anything larger than a sunglass case. The bin in the console is always open and the design needs some more thought. My car has the upgraded stereo, which eats up space under the floor in the rear hatch area.

Very disappointed with my Audi Q5...
I'm completely frustrated with my new lease, a 2018 Audi Q5. The vehicle will jump into park way too frequently. Very annoying and dangerous. For that reason, my wife won't drive it. I have difficulty believing that I'm the only one experiencing this. Can't seem to get pass the salesman and his assistant when I go to the dealer. Been leasing vehicles for 50+ years, this is my first Audi, Test drive it for a few days before you commit. At times the alarm (seat belt?) will keep going off for no reason. Not pleasant. I've filled Audi Surveys. Have not received an acknowledgment as of yet.

New car for me but I love it
This car met all of my needs and feels very luxurious to drive. I wish there was more storage room in the console and the drink holders are awkward with the console tray.

No sun protection
The HUD windshield in this vehicle makes for a miserable driving experience. The untreated glass on models using heads up display act as a magnifying glass and driving into sunlight is a miserable experience. Even at 40F degrees outside the ac needs to be fanning the driver with cool air and your chest and dash area are hot to the touch. In addition to the heat the reflections on the windshield in HUD models impairs vision and is not safe to drive. Audi claims that there is no problem even after sending reflection photos to the NorthScottsdale dealer and doing some heat testing that did not simulate the sun coming thtrough the windshield. They claim it is within their standards and have yet to disclose what their standard is. Bottom line-Do not purchase Prestige models or anything Audi makes with Heads Up Display. The dash will likely be crispy in a few years.

Great SUV
I really like how this vehicle drives so well, very smooth, responsive, and extremely comfortable drive. The exterior and exterior of the Q5 is beautiful. I do wish it had the touchscreen option however in this SUV with its infotainment system I don’t miss that option too much. The panoramic sunroof is a great feature. I definitely would recommend this vehicle to others.
