Vehicle Overview

The Q7 was Audi’s first foray into the luxury crossover segment, but since its debut the automaker has added the Q5, a smaller and less expensive crossover. The Q7 seats up to seven people in three rows of seats and can be equipped with a gas or diesel V-6. The Q7 competes with the BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GL-Class and Acura MDX.

New for 2013
Diesel Q7s come with a new engine that delivers more horsepower and better fuel economy ratings of 19/28 mpg city/highway. A new dual-screen rear seat entertainment system is also available.
Exterior
For a crossover, the Q7 has a relatively sleek profile, and it wears Audi’s signature grille. Adaptive xenon high-intensity-discharge headlights with LED daytime running lights and a panoramic sunroof are optional. Exterior features include:

  • Standard power liftgate
  • 18-, 19-, 20- or 21-inch wheels

Interior
The Q7’s rear rows of seats fold flat to provide more storage space. Audi’s optional Multi Media Interface information and navigation system features enhanced voice activation, so you can speak commands such as “I need gas” or “I need coffee,” and the computer will map your closest options. Interior features include:

  • Standard heated leather front seats
  • Standard iPod interface
  • Optional Bang & Olufsen stereo
  • Optional heated steering wheel
  • Optional dual-screen rear seat entertainment system
  • Available Audi Connect Wi-Fi

Under the Hood
The Q7’s powertrain lineup consists of two supercharged gasoline V-6s and a turbocharged diesel V-6, all of which team with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Mechanical features include:

  • 280-hp, supercharged 3.0-liter gas V-6 in 3.0
  • 333-hp, supercharged 3.0-liter gas V-6 in 3.0 S line
  • 240-hp, turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel V-6 in TDI makes 406 pounds-feet of torque
  • Standard Quattro all-wheel drive
  • Optional adaptive air suspension

Beautiful car as far as design but terrible once it’s just a few years old. The car deteriorates at a high rate. Which is ridiculous for such a high end model.

  • The most high performance car I ever owned.

The car met all my needs and then some. Great for late-night, visiting friends, and attending family events. The car has all the modern safety mechatronic features. Super fun to drive, lots of power and great handling to control it. We have plans to purchase/lease the latest model.

  • Great upgrade

When you want luxury with this car you got it all. Three rows, heated and cooling seats with cupholders, supercharged, clean, runs fantastic. 130,000 miles but for the price you can't beat it. Asking Blue book value was 4g more. I have great credit and instantly got approved for it. They couldn't find anyone who could get approved even though there were so many before me that wanted this SUV. Thank you and I am so happy with my choice!

  • Started dieing a slow death

A Beautiful car, probably the prettiest car I have ever owned. However it is a tire eater, the windshield wipers have broken repeatedly at the arm and it’s a bit noisy in terms of the ride. There is something going on with the front end that I can’t quite explain, it doesn’t seem stable and there is a shift that occurs.

  • Big old school German SUV for a family. Diesel.

Great engine with lots of power and dynamics for the size of car. Pretty good gas-mileage, 28 mpg on the highway is not just EPA, but something easy to achieve, even driving 79 mph. Incredible stability and handling, it is German engineering for you. Somewhat outdated interior, no USB, but 2 SD slots.
