I traded my Gas Guzzling SUV for this sleek, nimble, and reliable GM Certified Used-Car after researching all other cars in it's class. The Price was Right The MPG Was even more Right The Service From My GM Dealer, Lattoff Chev is superior.

This is my first Chevrolet purchase, I am happy with the style, comfort and performance of my 2006 Impala.Over the past 20 years I have driven Honda Accords, I was very worried about switching over. I do not regret it. My Impala provides a better comfortable drive. The new Accords are smaller and seem to be compact inside. My Impala provides you with lots of room for a comfortable ride.

The Chevrolet Impala has been given a much needed update for 2006. The exterior styling has been smoothed out, the headlights improved, taillights perfectly replaced and grab-handle style doors introduced. What's most important is the performance improvements...The engines have been beefed up to a 211hp V6 in the base LS and LT that uses e85 Ethanol, a 242hp V6 in the LTZ and a strong 303hp V8 with DOD technology in the SS. The suspension has been retuned and it is evident with the independent suspension all around resulting in a soft but sturdy ride and high seating positions.The interior has been revamped with a greatly needed center console now available, supple leather seats and supportive cloth seats with 8-way power (Height and lumbar control),decreased road noise thanks to Quiet-Tuning and an incredible new instrument panel. Even though the new impala shares the same wheel base and platform as the previous impala, the 2006 Impala has been thought out and improved so much that it can easily be called a whole-new design. My recommendation are to get the LT with cloth bucket seats, MP3/CD Player, Anti-lock brakes and wood-grain appearance package if you want the most bang for your buck. But if you have a taste for the best that money can buy like myself, then get a fully loaded SS since it is the most sport-tuned vehicle in the GM lineup other than the corvette. Every vehicle has a color that is just made for it, and the superior blue is a must have for 2006, but be careful because the color will be discontinued in 2007 with a greenish-blue color and the color spread will have a new emphasis on shades of red and silver. My family has had almost every car that is possible to have and I can say that after driving this vehicle for almost a year, this car is definitely a better value, a better performer and a better car than the current Toyotas, Hondas and Fords plus it meets expectations and holds up the Impala legacy. The name is perfect for the Impala because in 2006, the Impala is definitely an animal to be reckoned with.

When you view the SS from the out side, one senses a delicate wisp of the long lost muscle cars of the past. While the body lines, lighting. and spoiler gives this car a look of elegance..While at the same time, commanding respect. This is not the "big boat" 300hp floaters. Nooo. The SS Has quick responce and out standing handling and power to "play with the big blocks car owners". Even though with its masive power plant. it will become "elegant" and only run on 4 cyclinders.. That right 4 cyclinders, hence saving $$$. Inside the SS one has Onstar,6CD changer,Sat radio,cell phone, Leather seats (Heated both sides,thank you)..and on and on with power everything! Who needs a two seater Hot rode or a big boat with your living room in it. The SS has it all. I love it.

We have rented this car many times and have really enjoyed all the performance handling and compfort of this car and plan to buy one in the near future
