Best Chevy Ever

I bought one of these trucks when they first came out and what an improvement. I had an 04 Extended 4x4 and I upgraded to the new 07 and it is incredibly quite and smooth ride! wow.

Very nice change

I have the 5.3 Z71 4X4, i love the truck especially the extended cab doors. It has good power for the 5.3 and 4X4 is strong. I wish that the front end did not sit so low, and DO NOT BUY THE GRAY CLOTH INTERIOR its a bad material and lint sticks to it i have had mine for about 3 months and it look very bad you cant keep it off i have to lint roll it every week to keep it off.....

fair hauling

I owe 2007 silverado classic w/t 4.8liter standard bed 4 speed w/od. I bought it for practical use - hauling. 1.Transmission developed main bearing leak at 8000mi. 2.Hauling capacity is over 1000lb as manufacturer states.I haul liquid in containers. When I put 770lb on the bed, (evenly spread) truck's rear drops 2-3 inches and ride is terrible and leaf springs bottom out often. However it rides well when empty and has plenty of power. If you use this truck for heavy haul, make sure you pick different suspension than basic soft ride of w/t. GM offers plenty of choices.

The best truck ive ever owned

From the responsive 5.3 V-8 to the refinements in the Cab. This is one beautiful and functional truck! I have the z71 crew cab and even with the stiffer suspension It rides like a dream and handles..in my oppinion like a sports car. Virtually no body roll. Definetly one of the best trucks on the market today, love it.

Great Truck except for gas mileage.

I really like this truck. Only bad thing is the gas mileage. It is a 6.0 gas with a GM 6 speed automatic. I had a 3/4 ton truck back in the mid 80's with a 350 4 speed automatic. It got better gas mileage when towing a trailer or not. What is the purpose of the new design engines and all the electronics in these if it can't even equal the old trucks. Huge waste of our money!

Definitely an improvement!

I had an 05 W/T before this, and am extremely happy that I upgraded to the 07 LT (Ext)! Overall, I feel that this is the best thing that Chevy could have done to the Silverado! It stands out in a crowd (how many people have I seen on the road checking the vehicle out as I drove by? :) and has features that are great to have, and some that most other trucks don't. The styling isn't for everyone, but if you are looking for a vehicle that is unique and enjoyable to drive, this is definitely it! There are a few small items that I have to say are (small) negatives. The extended cab back area is a mite bit smaller than the 05, the steering is a little stiffer, and there is a little bit of a pause when first pushing the gas pedal (unless you stomp it). But, all of the positives that I've found with this truck FAR outweigh those minor items! I love the MP3 playing radio (140 albums on 12 cds!), and the fact that there is practically no wind noise or road noise while driving is AWESOME! Cool thing, too, is that I'm actually getting a little better gas mileage in this than the 05 W/T, and I actually went from a 4.3 V6 to the 4.8 V8! I was surprised by that! Also, the rear window defroster is nice, and I love that you can now have power roll down access door windows (that go ALL the way down)!!

Great Truck

This truck is unbelievable. It is so much better than my father's Ford. I can use it for anything. The dealer was able to give me a nice price on the truck which is always a good thing. It is very solid and does not feel like it is going to fall apart like some of the older ones did.

I hated it, it was a rough truck

I bought this new and it rides very rough. It has less power than the Ford. I would not buy another one.

firrst extended cab

I LOVE THE TRUCK BUT THE GAS MILAGE IS NOT THE BEST. 373 REAR AXEL PROBABLY. 5.3 ENGIN HAS PLENTY OF POWER. I USE THIS TRUCK FOR PLEASURE AND BUSINESS. WE HAD A 2005 CHEV WT LS BUT THIS TRUCK HANDLES FAR BETTER.
