The 2WD Crew Cab version of this truck with the 5.3L V8 is all you need for everything. Gas mileage is great for a large truck and it has a very comfortable ride.

I bought this truck from a dealer, used, in 2010 with 29,000 miles on it. body and interior was in great shape. showed a little sign of use in the bed, but thats normal. paint was in great shape, especially for being an Iowa farm truck. No scratches at all. Interior is great. Seats are comfortable with the feeling of sitting upright. The downfall is having an extended cab. It's nice if you want to throw stuff back there and no put them in the bed, but not a lot of room for people, espcially adults. 4WD works great, even with regular street tires. with a full bed, in soft mud, i had no problem getting out. over all, this is a great truck. if you have a family, maybe consider a crew cab. the reason for 4 stars on performance is because i would've liked a 6spd trany in it but that wasn't an option on this year modle. and for the exterior, i hated that the front sat lower then the back. looks tacky on a 4wd. that was an easy fix with a leveling kit, which is easy to install. this truck is going to be around for a long time, hopefully longer then me

A must drive, More power then you will ever neead. Rides like a luxuary car with the build of a truck.

I have owned my new Silverado for three months and I absolutely love it! I bought it used with an extended warranty so I have no worries. I am partial to Chevy but I also own Mopar products. This truck is rugged yet refined. You can use it to haul wood one day and then go out to the city the day and it looks great doing both. I finally have my dream truck and will keep it until it dies which will probably be many many years!

This is my fourth Silverado 1999, 2001,2004 & 2007. This by far the best one. The 6.0 has good power but the 4speed auto lets the truck down. I love the truck it drives smooth and straight even being lifted. No issues at all with it.

I purchased this 2007 (NBS) Crew Cab Work Truck w/4.8l V-8 Brand new in Sept. 2007. The truck looks great, rides nice and the interior is comfortable. I honestly love my truck. However, I have had more problems in the 2 1/2 years ive owned this truck than all of my previous vehicles combined. 2 transmission failures, going on 3. Broken seat back & I'm only 5,9" 190. Terrible wind noise coming from windshield plastic trim, occurs at +50mph. Power lock button on driver side shorted 4 times. Stabilitrac failed & had to be fixed. Interior flooring and arm rest cracked at 39k miles. Fuel guage does not work, two front door speakers do not work. 4.8 engine is strong but wrong gear ratio causes excessive gear changes and probably the transmission failures. Rear end makes banging noise and truck bumps foreward like someone rear ended you when coming to a stop. Dealer ship says nothing wrong. I think thats everything... Better luck with yours, this will be my last one!

I was happy when we bought this 2007 Silverado Classic WT 1500 Ext. Cab for less than $10,000. It had less than 18K Miles on it and it was a one-owner vehicle. It's gas-saving, comfy seats, and optional 6 CD changer which I installed on it, has made us feel like we got more than we bargained for! I like it!

I bought new style in 2007, LTZ fully loaded. Had it less than 2 years. Navigation system does not allow you to look up addresses, Points of interest, or addresses in the address book while the vehicle is moving. Roof leaks bad when it rains, water runs down the back passenger seat belts, Power sliding window cable broke and the A/C system does not always blow cold. All of this happened 2 months past the 36k mile warranty. The rear end has gone out twice both times covered by warranty, fixing to go back a third time for the same problem, didn't last a week this time. The drivers side door has bad wind noise above 40mph. For the money that a fully loaded LTZ cost I would expect better quality and reliability. I will never own another GM product.

I've always wanted a truck since I was a kid. The chevy silverado newer version was just right. It is a little hard to park but I've been improving on that. Good acceleration and good handling. I like the sound of the engine when it accelerates. Attractive exterior and interior. I drive it to work and school and its great. I average about 16-20 mpg. I feel safe in it!! Great truck!! Good job GM!!

This is a great truck in all areas, two months after I got it I was hit by a rock hauler and it was still drivable and I didnt have any injuries at all not even a scratch. The body style puts a beefy sport look which I have taken and added 22 inch wheels, chrome trim, dual exhaust, and more for a pretty decent price and my truck looks great and the comfort level is amazing, I just wish I would have gotten an extended cab for all my radio equipment.
