Most reliable car I owned.
Excellent gas mileage! Very reliable! Manual transmission is very good! Awesome commuter car. Comfort is fair. Keeps going and going! Currently have 149,000 miles on it!

Should be a lemon
Our issues began immediately after driving off the lot with it brand new. Radio screen kept saying “check antenna” and took the dealership days to figure out what was wrong - first They said it it was a frayed wire, then they said the whole radio had to be replaced. The warranty covered anything that went wrong, but 4 years later it randomly wouldn’t start And the radio screen wouldn’t turn on or interior sounds . 3x the dealer said they Fixed it but didn’t, as the problem still randomly occurred. Thankfully we purchased the extended warranty but still meant we had a $100 deductible, the 3rd time we took it for the same electrical issue/not starting, we said we aren’t paying the deductible- you haven’t fixed the problem! They said the radio needed to be replaced. I was irate - AGAIN? This would be the second time and explained they needed to look at their records from 2014. The service manager agreed this problem still stemmed from back then!!! So frustrating. It’s had many recalls, a bolt fall out of the door inhibiting the door from opening (6 months after buying). Between the recalls and electrical issues/strange way it runs sometimes, we were in the shop so often that the service advisors were on a first name basis with us within the first month of us owning it, and call it “the little car from xxxx”. It’s good on gas and a great commuter car, but this experience made me never want to buy a car ever again. I don’t know if we just were unlucky and got a faulty lemon, but I wouldn’t recommend. It doesn’t hold any value. It’s cheap inside and out. Do yourself a favor and just spend a little extra on a Toyota that you can sell for half+ of what you bought it for, a decade later.

This was the best starter car I could’ve asked for
I never had any problems with this car. It is great for commuting and riding around town. I have always kept it up to date on services and a full tank of gas is only $12-15. This car drives great.

Worst car ever!!!!
We purchased our chevy spark in 2014 brand new. We still currently own it with it just hitting 76,000 miles on it. Theres been multiple recalls on the 2014 spark including the transmission. We have had expensive senors go out , coolant tank just fall out, battery didn't last 2 years. Everything in the car is made cheaply including the plastic outside of the car. It has zero get up and go , and when the AC is on good luck even getting any power out of it. Seats are cheap vinal as well. Carpet inside is cheap. The car is cheap because its garbage. It would be a perfect car for a 16 year old never entering a highway or a grandma that only drives to Dennys once a week. Look up the recalls on this car. Also, GM is awful and we will never buy a vehicle from them again. Poor customer service. Just terrible.

I need HELP!
I really love my 2014 Chevrolet Spark, however, I now have transmission issues. I only have 58,000 miles on it and the Chevrolet dealership is telling me I need a whole new transmission. Is there anyone else experiencing intermittent slipping of the transmission? One mechanic ran a diagnostic that showed the Pressure Control Solenoid was bad. The dealership says the internal belt is bad. Please advise! The drivetrain warranty expired on January 27, 2019.

Not happy about my air conditioner not working
I have about 40,876 miles on my car and the air conditioner has stopped working. There are complaints about this on several sites but they have not added it to the recall list. I do not understand what is going on. The 2013 model had some issue and they recalled it. They made same mistake on 2014 but have not recalled it.

Beautiful vehicle!
Beautiful appearance! For a small compact vehicle plenty of interior leg room and space! Low mileage and a real bargain for the price! Very pleased with the purchase!

Nothing but trouble
Gas mileage is good. The back hatch wouldn't open had that fixed now it won't open again. I had to have the air conditioner unit and fan replaced 3 years after I owned it. Not long after that was fixed the transmission went out of it and had to have it replaced. Oil pan started leaking soon after had to have the gasket replaced. Now the check engine light is on. Benn reset but keeps coming back on. Haven't even owned the car 5 years. Received a call from someone wanting to me to buy the extended warranty and she preceded to tell me that today's cars are made to break down. I always thought that cars are supposed to be built to last. Paid $15,000.00 for this car and expected it to last longer than 4 years.

Costly to maintain
I bought my 2014 5speed manual spark in 2016. With 18k miles paid $9k. I have had to replace the water pump at 50k clutch at 85k entire brake system at 100k and do front end alignment at 100k and strutts at 105k. By may 2019 car has 107k and has needed $4k of work. I have replaced 4 tires which are aroubd $150 each for odd size tire. Car is slow to heat and cool. Gas miliage is fantastic.
