2014 Chevrolet Spark consumer reviews

This car is great on gas. Plenty leg room. It handles great on rural roads and highway. My only issue with it is, doesn't have cruise control. I'm a disabled veteran that needs cruise control to assist my driving for less pain later.

I loved it until Mr.White talked me into trading it in for a chevrolet Colorado pickup. he literally took advantage of me. I lost $9,000.00 on my trade in & now owe $24,000.00 on truck that's only worth $16,000.00. Can't believe you higher people like Mr. White. I'll never do business with you again nor will any of my friends or their friends.

I bought this car when I needed to repair my credit. I love small cars and was excited about getting great mileage. It's "cute" as a bug and about the same size. This is what is called a City Car in the car biz. Smaller than cars like the VW Golf and MINI. I am a big guy and I did fit relatively well in the car considering its size. 1200cc 4-cylinder engine which is one of the smaller ones on the US market. I wanted a manual transmission but none was available and I was stuck with the CVT. This is simply a dreadful transmission on this car. Avoid the CVT model at all costs. Performance is frighteningly slow and the transmission is the main culprit. The transmission 'skips' when you try to accelerate in a curve (like a freeway onramp). Because of the short wheelbase the car "dances" (AND skips!) when it hits bumps, especially on a curve. Not enjoyable to drive on the freeway AT ALL. People in almost any other car on the road will cut you off without a care. If you are an aggressive driver, this car will break you of that habit. The car is very noisy inside and if you try to use a cell-phone holder, the ride is so rough that your phone will be jiggling so much that it makes it hard to read the screen if you're using GPS while driving. I had the car for 80,000 miles and averaged 31.4 miles per gallon over that time. It had some issues with the air conditioning that were covered under warranty but other than normal consumables, I never spent a penny on repairs or service. The car is an absolute DREAM to park, especially when parallel parking in the city. All things considered, for most people you would be better off buying a slightly used car that has a little more to it. If you are a small person and only drive in the city this might be ok but in any case, get the manual transmission! I was grateful to have the Spark when it came into my life but I was doubly grateful when I was able to move up.

I have had this car for 3 yrs it is great on gas there are 4 doors which is great! It has little power when the ac is on and going up hills. Other than that. It has been a great car!

This car isn't very fast and doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles. But it does get really good gas mileage and was an inexpensive car at just over $14000.

Very excellent value for the money $1000 below market value . 43 miles per gallon one owner one driver .

This is the most dangerous car I've ever been in ! Bought it brand new 2014 and it has actually turned off on the highway going 60 mph not only that my car almost jumps when it's taking or or hesitates,, I've almost had so many wrecks from my car not going when I press the gas ... I hate this car and seriously regret buying it ! I have a son now and it's even more scary since it's so small if I do happen to get in a wreck from my car hesitating to take off it will be really bad ,, I have to turn the air conditioner off to take off from a stop. Do not buy this car ! They should be recalled immediately... I can't wait to get in a bigger car. This car is so uncomfortable to drive and so loud and my car has no electric locks so I have to unlock everything by hand ... I can't wait to get rid of it
