Junk Junk JUNK!
Don't really know why we're keeping this money pit! Normal wear & tear is expected..and repairs to follow..HOWEVER.. Problems since I drove off the lot w it brand-new.. Minor..the door sealers on both front doors..popped off when I got home. Then within a yr. Major gas leak from back end.. Several( atleast4x) the gas gauge broke..and oh what fun that was dealing w the ignorant mechanic at Joe Basil Chevy in Depew N.Y. 1st thing he says when I come in w the recall notice(by this time,it was 3rd or 4th time it went) just so you know,we don't fix anything else besides the recall notice for free. Umm what?? During that trip, they misplaced one of the license plates, didn't drive the truck as they said they did ( they also were to find out why the engine light was on, which was a mystery to 2 other mechanics) Junk! Then, after a family fixed the PCM, ( was wks. before) ..the gaskets for this mysteriously went missing from this trip..then the BCM went.. Junk! Several times problems w the secondary pump! Junk! Tires wore prematurely for no other reason then " the way I drive" (yes i requested the alignment test..showed it was good) Junk! Then recently another $1700.00 job for the control arm, something w the ball joints ( yes..that too was 3rd time fixing) Junk! And now..strong gas fumes..dont see a leak but its coming from somewhere..and a noise coming from under the dash that sounds like bolts rattling around ( only hear it when just taking off like from park or coming off a stop sign or red light.) JUNK JUNK JUNK!!And look..I'm not a crazy driver..I wouldnt complain if it was my fault..as that just wouldnt be right and I wouldn't waste time trying to warn others. I feel dumb..really stupid for keep spending money on this vehicle but you try giving the truck a chance..plus you I know I won't get back all the money sunk into it ( at least 6500.00 past 3 yrs alone) I am fed up with this vehicle and will never recommend anyone to ever buy one. Just seen an opportunity to vent and hopefully save someone else money and undo headaches!

Reliable, but has a few flaws
The car, when working, is a fantastic SUV, with good power and handling, good visibility, and comfortable enough to sit in for hours at a time. The problems arise when many of its defects start to show. For instance, the wheel bearings on this particular model go out like they are made of butter. I have replaced them three times in the last two years. Wheel bearings go out, but there is no way to mitigate this. It also has a problem with its pulleys causing a whine as you accelerate. For me, it was the idler pulley, the bearings wore out and caused grinding. It was a cheap fix, but it was annoying until I fixed it. Of course, the one I own has almost 130k miles on it, so considering how old it is, being 10 or so years old, it's very reliable as long as you keep up with routine maintenance and change the wheel bearings when they go out. I am not exactly a stickler for changing my oil or making sure the routine maintenance is done on time, and while it gets done, i'm sure most of my complaints with the car have to do with normal wear and tear due to age, as well as how rough I have been on it. So far, I have had to replace a lot of important mechanisms, such as an overhaul of the power steering system, a brake caliper replacement (somehow the piston was completely sheared to the left!), but maybe i'm just very rough on cars. The only thing I can say other than that, is very minor. The driver side trim is loose. That's it. Other than all of that, it's still like new, it's a 10 year old car with 130,000 miles on it, and it runs great, handles great, and for the most part, is a very reliable car.

One of GM's best trucks
I worked for GM when the GMT360 was introduced. I recall one of the engineers telling me that powertrain was overbuilt for this truck. I think he was right. I bought my '05 Trailblazer LT in '09 when it already had 139k miles on it. I'm the second owner. The truck was well cared for and I bought it from the same dealership it was bought new. It was used mostly to deliver small trailers by the previous owner who constructed these trailers. Fortunately the truck had been rustproofed so the truck looks great despite its life in the salt belt. The truck is very reliable. But, with any vehicle with nearly 200k miles it has needed some mechanical work such as front hub bearings, tie rod ends and brakes. But it's still a great truck

Great vehicle
I've owned this TB since 2006, great truck, as you can tell from my rating, I have nothing but good things to say about it. Graet ride, solid, no road noise or wind noise probably the best truck GM ever built. Good handling, I recently had to swerve on the interstate to avoid an object on the road, the truck handled very well was able to control it with minimal sway, I am extremely pleased with this vehicle and plan on keeping it for a long time. I spend some time on gravel roads and driven through 8+ inches of snow, with 4WD it handle well and has never let me down.
