Versatile, Powerful, and Reliable for 130k+ Miles!

I purchased a one-owner pre-owned 2011 Chevrolet Traverse LTZ that had 128k miles on it. I had been driving a mid-size sedan and realized I needed more seating and cargo room for family, friends, and any unexpected trips. I must say, I had been blown away since the day I test-drove the Traverse! It is an absolutely AMAZING full-size crossover! The soft heated and cooled leather seating with memory, power-folding mirrors, tri-zone auto-climate control, remote start, rear camera with sensors, impressive rear-entertainment system with 10-speaker Bose surround audio, and dual sunroofs are only a small portion of the long list of features included in this vehicle! The complimentary OnStar 3-year Basic plan is very beneficial in locking/unlocking, starting, and locating my Traverse via smart phone! I can even check the status of my vehicle's health and receive monthly emails updating me on such conditions. Whether it's passing other vehicles or moving from a stand still, the 3.6L V6 has plenty of get up and go, and then some! I have experienced zero issues, and I am completely satisfied with my choice to upgrade to the Traverse! Every day, I feel more and more confident driving this vehicle to my various destinations, no matter the conditions. This SUV even drove smoothly and quickly through the aftermath of numerous mudslides that had resulted from recent record-breaking storms... without any bit of struggle or hesitation! It is also equipped with a factory towing package that I am more than willing to utilize on any given day. Although it has many characteristics and capabilities of a larger family SUV, the Traverse remains smooth on and off-road... even with 20" alloys. On pavement, it handles like a much smaller vehicle, which is a big plus in So-Cal. I also feel very comfortable using it to teach younger family members and friends to drive, as it is a trustworthy Chevy! Six months later and the Traverse now has 136k miles and continues to run clean and peppy like a champ. There's absolutely no doubt this vehicle will fly past 200k miles! Despite being a few years old, the Traverse LTZ still turns many heads. Friends and family members who have driven or ridden in my Traverse repeatedly mention they wish it was theirs. I highly recommend the Traverse to all families/individuals who are looking for a tough, comfortable, spacious, safe, and reliable SUV that uses far less fuel than a V8, without sacrificing much of a V8's capability!

Best Decision I Ever Made

I had a GMC Terrain but with a family of 5 and us getting news that there was going to be a new addition to the family...well I needed something bigger. The traverse LTZ model was perfect. I didn't want to lose the leather interior, premium audio, reverse camera, heated seats, or key remote start. What I did also gain was the DVD player, dual sunroof, and climate control A/C system. Oh yeah and also 20" alloy rims was a plus. Now I know I went from a 4 cylinder SUV to a 6 Cylinder so I lost mileage by getting the traverse. I did gain more torque and comfortability. My wife is not used to driving bigger vehicles but she loved it and even she says it handles well. I also feel like the turn radius is better on our new traverse. Kids are completely happy with the vehicle that they were asking me for two straight weeks if we could drive somewhere. As excited as they were when we got the car (I a 30 year old man) am just as excited. It's smooth, the bose system is awesome for music and movies. Overall I love it. Cars.com helped me find it. I used the application on my phone and on my laptop to search for new listings for about 3 weeks. Originally I was looking at some cheaper options in the same model. I Ended up choosing a more expensive one then originally but also was at a fair to above average (which meant best price) for the mileage and year. Overall they emailed the dealership right away straight from the cars.com website and the dealer emailed me right away. I was impressed by how great cars.com and the dealership worked together. It's been a month since I've bought my vehicle and I still haven't taken the app off my phone. Why? Because it's awesome to use to look for vehicles. I would recommend it to anyone who was looking for a great price and to make easier on yourself when looking for a car. Even after a month I still feel like I've gotten the best price for my vehicle after constantly looking at other dealerships for the same model.

Great vehicle

I purchased in 2014 I've had to repair the air, replace the struts and shocks these things were very expensive but I hadn't got to contacts on recalls and there are a few I've seen that should have been covered as part of the recall but I had to pay out of pocket for

Good family SUV

A good size family SUV. Comfortably sits 7 on a ltz. The ltz options are really excellent with navigation systems, backup camera, heated sets and sun and moon roof. Smooth ride.

Awesome

Traded in an 04 Chrysler Pacifica, great car, for a 2011 Traverse. 3 rows seating, AWD LS. Very nice upgrade, didn't have all the fun stuff the Pacifica had but still a great driving car, very comfortable.

Everything I expected

I had been searching used crossovers for quite awhile. I drove a 2011 Explorer for 2 years and liked the versatility of the vehicle. I was looking for one with AWD, a towing package and less than 60,000 miles, everything else really did not matter. I researched for about 3 weeks and came across a Chevy Traverse that was priced about $3-4,000 less than similiar Traverses, which seemed to be lower in price than other manufacturers. I took the vehicle for a ride, and was immediately impressed with the comfort of the car and the smoothness of the ride. It had nice power, and was quiet. There was plenty of room with 3 rows of seats, and when folded down, there was plenty of room. I've driven the vehicle for about 3 weeks now, and the only concern has been the mileage. So far I am not impressed with the MPG, averaging about 19-20 combined. I look forward to some highway driving to see how much more it goes up, but so far it seems to be slightly less than the Explorer I had. Comparing the two, they are very similar with everything else, and I was able to purchase this Traverse for about $7,000 less than a similarly equipped Explorer, so I am happy about that. I would recommend this vehicle to anyone needing alot of room, not wanting a minivan, and wanting a comfortable drive.
