Nice solid vehicle
I have had my 2013 Edge for 3 weeks now. I really only have one complaint. There is really no storage for the driver. Yes, there are 2 cup holders, storage on the door and arm rest storage. But if you are returning a movie or have a few items that you are taking with you on your trek there is no where to put them. If you go on a trip there is no were to put items that you may want to have handy as you drive down the road. I think Ford needs to redesign the area in front of the shifter to allow for a little storage area.

First Time Owning a American Car
So this is my 2nd review of this car since i bought my Edge SEL. I bought this with Panoramic Roof, GPS, 20" Rims. After one year and half and putting 29,000 Kilometres. I Can tell you so far i had zero problems during Canadian winter and summer. This truck has been amazing, my kids love it and my wife still get's amaze when she drives it. Still riding on every thing original the only maintenance i had done so far is the oil changes. Best decision i have made buying my car. If you are in the Market to purchase a new car do look at the Edge before you make your final decision.

2013 EDGE SEL. AWESOME CAR
Purchased my car 4 1/2 months ago. Had to special order due to the dealership having only loaded ones that I really didnt need or could afford and thats why i marked affordability down a bit. Was worried about driver leg room due to the dimensions being shorter than my other car but after driving it, I have more room in the Edge. I guess with all the ways you can manipulate the seat it made it with much more leg room. The rear vents to the back seats were a must due to the summers and kids loved that. The only real problem i have with the interior is the lack of storage which others have noted as well. But could be a good thing if it deters you from putting things in the car, which keeps from clutter. Outside looks good but if you live in big city it could get a bit hairy when navigating in tight places or parking lots. Did want to mention SYNC touch. so far with 2900 miles havent seen what all the complaints are about. Worked very well for me. hope i didnt just jinx myself. Overall Ford did an excellent job and enjoy my new ride.

SUV to tow my boat
I replaced my 05 Explorer Eddie Bauer with a Ford Edge SE. We own a lake home in Minnesota and needed a vehicle capable of towing a 19' boat. I purchased the Edge, with the towing package a month ago. After 1000 miles, I'm very impressed.

Good decision
After deciding on my budget I proceeded to go test drive many SUVs in my price range. I was interested in style, comfort, safety, mileage, reliability, and amenities. The Edge limited met all my criteria. The 2013s are on close out so I was able to upgrade. We took it for it's first road trip this weekend and were pleased with the results. Based on this experience I think we made a good choice. Time will tell!

Already problems with 2011 Edge
I love the look and interior. However, I'm having issues with the ride and safety!! While driving, the red-wrench came on. With this warning light, the vehicle loses engine power instantly. I'm in the furthest left hand lane without a shoulder and I have to coast across traffic as if the car stalled. [Engine is idling, but won't allow you to add more RPM's]. This occurred 3 times in my 2011. I even tried to "reboot" the car while in neutral (you need to tap the brake pedal to allow it to start) . This doesn't clear the fault. Once the vehicle is at a complete stop and you "reboot" the car, it runs fine. The car has a significant drive noise from the tires or bearings or something. It's a low pitch that drives you crazy on long drives.

I needed a copilot for the technology
I rented a Ford Edge for 10 days of summer travel in northern New England. I found the vehicle great to drive, large enough for the four of us to enjoy. But I found the excessive screens and the operation of the stereo, heater/air to be incredibly hard to learn and then operate while driving. The lack of knobs means you have to look at the screen and take your eyes off the road. My 12 year old had to assist me throughout the drive. Absolutely ridiculous.

Mercury Marquis
The Edge is a very attractive vehicle; performance is outstanding; not as smooth as a longer base but this is an SUV.

Worst financial decision of my life
It must be great to own a working Ford Edge... after spending $40K I dont have a safe, working vehicle. In the past year I have owned this car, it has been in the shop at least 1 day every month. It has issue after issue mostly around the Ford Sync system. For those of you who get a lemon w/this system watch out. You will have endless problems that will never get solved by the dealership. We were one of the first cars in 2013 that had this issue and the dealership accused us of lying, until on of the sales people got one and had the same exact issues. The Sync system is god awful... 1) system shuts down while driving 2) system stays on when car is turned off 3) gps takes 5 minutes after entering a location 4) back up camera freezes 5) the bluetooth never works. Fun things that ended up breaking... day 3- sunroof got wound up and completely broke even after I asked the sales guy if we should get a different car b/c it looked off. Month 9- seat belt had to be completely removed and reconfigured. The first Ford Edge we had was so bad we had to trade it in for a new one. The only car they had similar to ours was the Limited. We ended up having to pay the upgrade (thanks a lot Ford) out of our own pockets and they dinged us for every mile steeply. Other inconsistencies about the vehicle- 1) gets bad gas mileage on average 18 mi/gallon and thats highway 2) certain gas pumps wont work w/the vehicle. The magnetic capless gas pump didnt work with a smaller sized pump. This was extra fun when we pulled into a gas station and thought something was very wrong with our car. Of course why would the dealership warn consumers of such a thing????? I hate Ford. I hate this Ford Edge. And I wish I had any other car but this one.
