new,new 2013
A very quiet, smoothe ,powerful for a small engine, 2000cc. performance is outstanding. The escape is reliable and very comfortable to drive . The gas milage is very acceptable. The steering and handling are second to none in my view. I look forward to many years of driving excelance.

Long Overdue Redesign
My wife and myself just recently purchased a new 2013 Escape Titanium. We love it!!! The new design is very appealing, and was probably the key selling point. From the big nice wheels, to the panoramic roof, and every line in between. The gas mileage and power is terrific out of the 2.0 ecoboost. I have read some other reviews on here saying the 2.0 ecoboost requires premium, this is a myth. All the engines on the new Escape run on regular unleaded. I find it comfortable and I'm not a small guy. I'm 6 foot tall and about 240, to be exact. However, the back seat is a little cramped behind me if I'm driving. Ford has definently put out the best small SUV on the road and this overhaul has made it stand out that much more. I can't say enough good things about the new body style. If you haven't definently go drive one. You will be hooked!!!

Unimpressed
I am on my third new Escape '08, '10 and '12; glad I bought the 2012 when I did. Don't know who they're trying to attract with the new design, but definately will lose me. The cockpit is too narrow, no knee room pedals are way too close together. The cargo area is greatly reduced, on my existing and previous Escapes I can fit 4 people and 4 golf bags comfortably, you cant even fit one golf bag straight across in the new one. The Eco-Boost I4 doesn't even come close to the existing V-6. Definately a step backward for the "Best Selling" mid-sized SUV!

Sign me up!
I just test drove the 2013 Escape and all of the hype is true. This car is amazing. It's a roomy little SUV that drives and feels like a sports car. I will be placing an order for a Titanium model.

So so
I can live with the updated design and it is very responsive with a better ride then my current Escape. BUT what happened to the knee room for the driver, it's gone. Also no and I mean no space between the gas and brake pedals. With my foot on the gas my shoe(size 10 reg width) is about half an inch from hitting the brake pedal. Surely anyone who wears boots in the Mid-Western winter is going to have problems. Those 2 negatives are making me second guess buying one.

Where to find
Been looking to test drive one of these since the autoshow. Professional reviews including a .85 skipad rating for the 2.0 model look impressive on paper but the real test comes from a test drive. I like the new styling, its about time they updated the Escape to something from this century. I heard the same Ford design direction critique when I first bought my F150 Lariat in 97.

Drastic redesign
Granted, it's too early to really pass a thorough judgement on a totally redesigned vehicle and it's going to be a tough act to follow the original. First impression after seeing a titanium 2.0 Turbo(which needs minimum 91 octane premium fuel) left me unimpressed and couldn't help thinking it's a bloated Focus with excessive angles and creases and really doesn't look distinctive. My gut tells me to hang on to my Limited for a long time.If anyone from Ford is reading this, may I offer a suggestion? Keep building the old, classic and iconic Escape. It worked for the Ford Crown Vic, Jeep Cherokee and Chevy Caprice.

Hideous!!! Thoroughly disappointed with the looks
Have been driving a 2012 for almost a year now and couldn't rave enough how well we love it. Have been boasting for for months that we are waiting for it to come out with the Ecoboost engine then we'll buy it. Now that I've discovered how UGLY the 2013 Escape is our love affair is over! I hate to go back to imports but....what choice are we left with, I know not much choice there either.

Vastly improved
The 2013 Ford Escape is vastly improve from previously editions. the new 2.0 L ecoboost engine is more economical and has more muscle at lower RPM. Lots of low end torque and able to tow 3,500 lbs. Styling is classy and lots of new features. More expensive, but worth it in my mind. Highly recommended. Mickey

UGLY
I have been driving my 07' escape for three years and it has been the best car i have ever owned. Especially being my first car. I really have no idea why they would make such an ugly car. It went from something great to this! Really Ford? HUGE MISTAKE! Change it back please!
