Worst car I’ve owned

Had 2 years. Zero visibility. No leg room in driver side. No leg room in back seat. Nav doesn’t work. Defrost air doesn’t turn on so too hot. Keyless presented safety issues. Returned with money loss.

2017 explorer

By far the smoothest car I ever owned, confortable. Fast, good looking car, good on gas. Easy to drive around and to park. My wife love it

4th Explorer

It’s the best in its class, gets good gas mileage, is very roomy and comfortable. Rides nice, great for travel. It has great power. It’s adjustable seats make tall people want to sit in the back. It 3rd row seat people comfortably and you still have room for luggage.

The worst SUV ive ever owned

The tires tires only gave me 18k miles, wheels tarnished after 36k, paint peeled on front sensors after 36k, starter and battery went bad at 50k and extended warranty didn't want to pay for damaged battery, loss of power when loaded, exhaust leaks and very noisey after two years of me maintaining it very well

Awesome power for a 3rd row SUV

Love the car. Ample space, handles very well. Front seats are a little stiff. I was used to the seats of a 2012 ford edge limited and the seats on the 2017 explorer sport are not as comfy, but theyre not bad either. The 3.5 v6 ecoboost is amazing. alot of fun to drive.

I love it, but giving the warranty a workout...

I Iove it, I really do. It's gotten me home through blizzards and no-travel-advised roads. I needed to replace a minivan with something that had 4WD to get me to and from work in all kinds of weather, and have room for my family, and tow a small teardrop camper. This ticked all the boxes, and I test drove everything for a year and a half before settling on this car. The 3rd row is for small kids or passengers you aren't very fond of. (great for stashing your in-laws). The middle row is only ok for the 2 teenagers. I've heard some whining about the lack of leg room for sure. BUT for a new car that I've had only a year, (purchased NEW in 2018) it's been in the shop for warranty work far too often, at least once a month. From a leaking transmission to a gas tank that spits up like an overfed baby, it's getting old. I've put 30,000 miles on it, and I should have only needed oil changes. They still haven't solved the gas issue after all this time. I put the nozzle in, set it to on, back away, and when the tank is full, the pump clicks off just like it should. Then the tank spits gas out all over my feet if I'm too close, clearly a pressure issue. They've dropped the tank, changed the lines, replaced the neck, and more.... It's going back in tonight for something else the Ford engineers want to try. It's sad when a gas station attendant knows your car because it's the one that always makes a mess. This has been going on for the entire time that I've owned it.

Intelligent 4WD does not cut it

I find that Fords 4WD (intelligent) solution, such as on my 2017 Explorer XLT, just does not do the job as the true 4WD system as used on my earlier model. Stuck twice already. Once trying to simply get up a small wet hill on my lawn. Just today, for example, it got stuck, spinning on wet grass, when I tried to cross a small ditch on my lawn. One wheel on each side spun in the grass while the other 2 did not. It is not true 4 wheel drive no matter what 4wd option selected. My older Explorer had true 4 low and 4 high options) that I hoped the new one emulated. Will be selling.

So far so good

2017 Ford Explorer XLT 4X4. So I have only had this vehicle for a few days but so far I LOVE IT. It has plenty of room for my family (adult kids) and is so comfortable. I wish it had the moon roof, but I am ok with out it too. Heated seats (wish I had the cooling too), heated steering wheel, leather, large touch screen display, crystal clear bluetooth for hands free phone calls. This vehicle is so nice. Turbo V6 is peppy and fun to drive..maybe a little too much fun. ..lol Sport mode makes everything that much better...no details or admission of guilt there. This vehicle (so far) has been a pleasure to drive. Comfortable and quiet for long and short trips. You won't be disappointed

Great SUV

First full size SUV for us and we looked into almost all the comparable models from other manufacturers. Incredibly happy with this decision. The sport trim has all the upgraded features we were looking for and then some.
