2017 Ford Explorer consumer reviews

Exceeded my expectations. Plenty of leg room and with the 3rd row seating there is plenty of room for my family. I love the look of this vehicle as well.

Overall I am satisfied with the cars performance, ride quality, space, LED headlight illumination, rich sound system, clear navigation, tech and safety features. The 4 cyl turbo was a pleasant surprise with sufficient power and smooth, quiet ride. I initially experienced a rattle / buzzing over rough roads until I wedged some foam in between the headliner around the moon roof. This seems to have resolved the problem for now. I plan to bring up this issue next time I visit the dealer. I'm thinking I should have sprung for the extra $ and gotten the limited with adaptive cruise, rain sensing wipers and power 3rd row seats, minus the twin moon roof on the XLT, but I saved a couple of thousand on the XLT, so overall I feel I received a very good deal. So far, I can recommend this vehicle, though I would check out the Limited trim level as the price difference is fairly modest. It seems that the best balance between price and features for a used explorer are either the 2017 or 2018 model year.

this car surprises me by far how strong and reliable. gas consumer not much and the interior looks so nice i love the sound system .

I only had it for a year and for a 2 year old car to many things are going wrong been driving fords since 1998 with no problems but this will be my last one, Chevy hear i come, i purchased it used but it only had 19000 miles, things all falling off, lift gate went out, window panel came off, one day my cooling fan wouldn't shut off, peace of xxxx of a car no more fords for me

Drove the vehicle to our home over 300 miles and we did not stop one time which we have never done before coming back from the twin cities.so it was very comfortable.

I never thought I would be lucky enough to own such a beautiful vehicle. Another home run by Ford. Its easy to know why I don`t buy anything else. Can`t believe all the crap you read by the biased magazines and car testers. We love this vehicle.

I have always been a Ford person and the Explorer just reinforces my view of the Ford Company and its products. I will continue to be a Ford Man.

This car is an amazing ride. This car is very comfortable and fun to drive. There is room for everything. Third row seating for lots of passengers.

The Ford Explorer's styling leaps into my view everywhere I travel. Finally I can call one of them my own! It is certainly the nicest vehicle we have ever owned and so far has exceeded all expectations.

I have had many Fords, Expedition, Explorer, etc. Had an Explorer for 13 years before this one, thought I wanted smaller, but this car is such a dream to drive. Very happy with it.
