Sleek/stylish/comfortable/loaded

Love the look and comfortable ride of our explorer. We have owned multiple Fords and even a Chevy and Dodge. We prefer the Fords above all of the others. This vehicle was loaded with options. The keyless ignition takes some getting used to but now I'm spoiled. Throw in the remote start for cold mornings and nothing else compares. We have the Sun/Moon roof option and it is nice because you can close the shade so no light comes in, or open the roof glass in the front to get the feel of an open air car or just tilt it as well. It's a great luxury car for a reasonable price for what you get. If you buy used, make sure to have the dealership fix a sharp edge on the seat near the floor between the driver seat and the console It may show up on a recall list but I would check to make sure that the previous owner addressed the issue. Most people don't put their hands down there but if you're cleaning or grabbing something, it is razor sharp.

Horrible quality

Everything breaks on the interior of this car and we’ve only had it 1 year. Warranty isn’t worth it because they won’t cover any of it.

Back to a Ford

I owned a Ford Fusion but after a bad accident, I was unable to return to the car, so I purchased a Chevy. I loved my Chevy but it was time for something bigger as my family had grown. My "new" Explorer is so perfect! With a large breed dog, a young child, a husband, and everything that goes with that, I needed space. But I drive about 70 miles a day so I needed something moderately decent with fuel mileage. Throw in a little personal preference and I was looking at the Ford Explorers. I happened to come across a 2017 model that was black on black with the Sport Appearance Package (perfectly fine for me) and I am in love with it. My price range was extremely limited and for that I feel like I got a REALLY good looking car. I said it was a minivan but with style. My husband said it's a MI*F car. I feel good driving it. I know my family is safe. I know I can pack everything I need. And I know that for once in my life, I have style. It's comfortable, has great speakers, heated steering wheel/seats, a back up camera, and more. I'm beyond happy with my "new Explorer.

Great SUV, bought brand new

We bought this brand new off the lot, and absolutely love it. I have only had it in the shop for PM services. I did notice the paint bubbling on the hood and ford will be taking it to an auto body shop to fix it as it’s still under warranty. It has never given me a mechanical issue. My husband drives it probably as much or more than I do, even though it’s my SUV!! It’s peppy for a turbo charged V6. Don’t bother with the 4 cyl, you won’t be happy. I test drive both and ended up with the Explorer sport Ecoboost V6. Beautiful leather interior with all the bells and whistles. Also does great in all terrains! It has intelligent 4WD, and works very well in snow, mud and rain! This one will be hard to give up when it’s time again, because I actually enjoy driving it. It feels heavy on the road, and doesn’t feel like it’s top heavy as it’s designed well! Love it!!

Disappointed have owned many Fords many flaws

Frame by front windows does not line up, carpet was very sloppy with raw edges sticking out, paint on hood is now blistering up, wind noise in cabin has always been a problem, back hatch door is hard to open and I have owned many many Fords but seriously considering changing . Very disappointing!
