F-150 King Ranch
This is my 3rd F-150, the first one was an STX 2005, I drove in this 136000 miles, the second one was a XLT 2008, I drove 160000 miles and never had any issue. the King Ranch is running like a luxury car and it has a proven high towing capacity and it is more efficient than the other two, I am very satisfied with my truck, by the way, I have had Chevy Silverado and Toyota trucks.

Not worth it
I have had multiple issues with my F150. Nothing with that much problems is worth the price they are asking. I've never had a vehicle that had all the issues this brand new F150 has had. The only reason I hate to write this is because I'm trying to sell it and I don't want people to think bad about them. Ford F150 is junk and I truly hate to say that because I own one. This vehicle shakes on idle. It's already rusting. The truck is already shutting things down saying it's doing so to keep the battery working. This is when I'm just turning the vehicle off with nothing plugged in.

F150 vs Ranger
I've owned Rangers for 13 years. My 1998 went 200k. My '06, supercab 286k, Will go 100k more. I wanted a used Ranger, 2010-2011 with 30-50k. It will be my driver, '06 weekends. I looked everywhere for a standard or Supercab with 4 cyl, 5 speed. They were mostly $14K-22K. That is with 50-70k miles. Some were junk, some pristine, all overpriced! $22k will get you a new F150 with rebates. I looked long with $ disgust. Rangers in base trim were high $ too. Very unhappy with choices. My options: 1. Stick with finding a used Ranger, $13k budget. 2. Buy a low mileage Ranger over budget. 3. F150 base trim and 2013 rebates. Final decision: F150, 8ft. bed; 1600lb. plus payload; cd, 6 spkr. stereo; Sync.; power windows, mirrors, auto locks; AC; 6 cyl.; automatic with tow/haul mode tranny; side steps, and my favorite, the information dash messaging. I got my color too, Tuxedo Black. All this, a little more plus a tonneau cover for $19.5K with all available rebates. Likes: delivers 22-25mpg on 15% ethanol fuel; Commanding view; quiet, quiet ride; plenty of power on tap; fine stereo, the tweeters on A pillars are awesome; the seats fit my frame perfectly and are super comfy during work week; Easy to navigate parking, backing up; the transmission is a silky smooth 6 speed and doesn't jolt you when up or down shifting. Automatic is easy to get used to in down town traffic; the head rests are right behind my head and the curtain airbags are added protection; the center seat back folds down for an enormous arm rest; cruise control is radar accurate; Rear wheels don't spin in 3" of slush with no weight in bed; no road noise; cruise control will brake if speed is exceeded, just like the big 18 wheelers; tons of leg room and you aren't confined to seating position as I found on competitors trucks; Door bins very useful; Bluetooth, hands free phone and steering wheel access; The price, price, price! Dislikes: The center seat doesn't slide rearward; the storage is limited, cubby bins are smallish; The steering is a bit heavy; tailgate is higher than most which obscures rearward view. That's it! I am 6' 3", 250lbs. I'll never have to check my springs for overloading payload in bed. I can tow over 5000# if I need to. I get equal or better mpg than my previous Rangers. I am very satisfied with the sales experience and the openness of the dealer to get all available rebates. I miss my Ranger because it served me so well for 8 years, I don't miss the costly repairs. It did what I needed it to but in more trips due to its limitations in payload and bed size and horsepower and seating and...You know what I mean if you bought an F150 having owned Rangers previously. Hands down, this F150 exceeds all my expectations in a full sized truck. I may still get another Ranger. I will be looking in a year or two when the used prices drop a few grand more. It will be commuter only but who can argue the 1400lb. available payload! I chose Ford F150 because of my prior Ranger experience. I wasn't sold on 8 speed Dodge with higher mpg. 3 owners said mpg much lower than stated even when they babied the pedal. I read as much as anyone could and talked to owners that liked their trucks for specific reasons. I looked at Toyota Tacoma-high prices, non truck like usefulness, many owners hemmed about their purchase decisions and many I talked to said they may have looked at domestic more closely before purchasing. Chevy/GMC-they borrowed your money and mine to get bailed out. I know of more happy Ford owners than Chevy. I know Chevy owners that went to GMC. I don't think the Chevy/ GMC 6 cyl. is as good a motor as Fords' V6. Not refined enough. Nissan, Toyota only come in 6ft. bed. Fuel mileage is worse than Ford. F150 outsells combined competition for a reason. It isn't just bought for one or two reasons, but many. I may never tow, or tow a lot, or tow 5,000lbs. but I can if I want to. I may never again hit 1200lbs. payload but I can go to 1700lbs. if I want to. 3/4 ton suspension in base model, no extras. The fuel mileage I get now wasn't supposed to be there till 10,000 miles based on salespersons info. I'm there now at 1,000 miles! Don't let the size deter you from looking at the full sized truck, because the driving and parking is far easier than you may think. Test driving is a must! Drive the competition, then drive the F150. you will be surprised at how easy it is.

Ford F-150 STX 5.0 V8
I bought my F-150 on May 18, 2013. I have since logged just over 12,000 miles without a single issue. I tow a 3,500 boat regularly through the hills of KY; the 5.0 V8 is super-powerful (and sounds awesome- the exhaust note is cool). I towed a car-hauler weighing in at 7,000 lbs about 300 miles also. The truck still had plenty of power. Additionally, the technology like trailer sway control, hill start assist, tow/haul mode causing automatic up-shifts when breaking, advancetrac, traction control, etc. function flawlessly and make towing very easy and comfortable. The STX model is nicely equipped and is a very sporty-functional truck. I am very happy with this stellar product and expect to own it form many years to come.

F150 FX 4 customized one ugly truck
Don't customize F 150 FX4 with anything it makes it look bad, ugly and undesirable truck. The gas mileage is terrible for a brand new truck. Most other trucks other than Ford has much much better gas mileage. And you don't have to break the bank to get back up camera or parking sensors added to truck most other brands have standard or optional back up camera or parking sensors on all trim levels not just higher trim level to get these options on a truck. It needs more cargo space inside cab for bigger objects.

2013 f150 stx
i recently leased a 2013 f150 back in september it is an stx 4x4 with the 5.0 coyote extended cab 6.5 ft box and the 201a package. im very happy with this truck it has alot of power and acceleration it sounds like a nascar when floored it will also chirp the tires when floored at 60mph on dry asphalt very well built ive liked every f150 that ive owned but this one is unlike anything ive ever owned i would highly recomend this truck over any other. if you can picture an fx4 without the smoked lights the computer monitor things on the dash, no center council skidplates or reflectors on the mirrors the stx with the 201a package is the same truck for alot less.

Purchase of New F-150 XLT
Have had the new 2013 F-150 XLT for almost a month. Could not be more satisfied with it. Both in performance and apperence it is tops. An excellent choice for the purchase price. Ford knows a lot about trucks and certainly demonstratrs it in current F-150 models

First time buyer of the F150
Had my new 2013 F150 Super Cab XLT since Nov 20 2013. Have exactly 3009 kms on it. Got the chrome package and sensor etc. Developed a vibration when you let of the gas pedal at 80 kms down to 60 kms. This started at less then 1000km. Took it the dealer and they replaced the drive shaft, transmission mount, shimmed the springs and even tried a new set of tires. Vibration is still there. Now they are telling me that they don't know how to fix it. I have bought GM trucks all my life and never had an issue with any of them. First time buying a Ford, have a very bad taste in my mouth. Looks like I got a lemon. However if they can fix that problem, overall I am very happy with the vehicle. My fuel economy is at 11.2 liters per 100 kms. That is combined city/highway driving. Much better then my 2007 Chevy Avalanche I traded in.

Ecoboost is powerful but not great mileage
Love the truck but I am disappointed in the highway mileage. great until you get to 65 MPH and then it goes from 21+ to 17. Tough when all the highways in AZ are 75 MPH speed limits.

F-150 ecoboost max tow
I sold a F-250 with a V-10 and bought a super crew FX4 eco boost with the max tow package. I pull a toy hauler that loaded is over 10,000 pounds. The eco boost has more power than my V-10 and pulls the same hills with ease that my V-10 would struggle on. My truck came with 20" wheels with P metric tires which didn't work well with my trailer but some load range E Michelins solved the problem. This truck is so quiet and gets good mpg. This review is after 1year and 11,000 miles. The eco boost has lived up to all the advertising hype.
