Best truck ever!

I recently purchased the 2013 Ford F150 Super-Crew Cab (XLT with Chrome Package), and I can honestly say this was the best purchase I have ever made! The twin-turbo V-6 is every bit as powerful as advertised. The fuel economy is better than I expected (17.5 MPG in daily stop and go traffic). The interior is roomy, and the ride quality is exceptional. My recommendations for improvement are: larger floor mats (they are way too small for the spacey Super Crew Cab), need some sort of in the cab storage for larger items, and somehow allow for more than one phone to access the Sync services. These are minor issues that are far outweighed by the overall quality of the F150.

First Truck to Replace Sedan

This may sound nuts, but my last 2 vehicles were an Audi A6 & Hyundai Genesis 4.6. I own my own business 90 miles from my home and comfort is a huge part of what matters to me. I became interested in a truck because I have a lame near my home and own 90 acres of land near by and needed to be able to haul and pull things. I was going to buy a used truck as a secondary vehicle but once I started looking, resale was insane and I wasn't rest to shell out another 20-25 K for a second vehicle. For this reason, I started looking at trucks as a primary vehicle. I ended up with a 2013 FX 4 black on black with the EchoBoost engine. This package is sporty looking vs. the Lariat which looks like something my dad would drive. Also, the wood grain in the Lariat looks cheap and the FX 4 eliminates this. I drove the V8 but the gearing in the EchoBoost makes it more fun to drive. It's loaded with everything and needed to be for me to enjoy driving on my commute. I really like the Sync. I read lots of negative reviews but no issues and the blue tooth feature for music is great. Very comfortable and the white piping on the black leather looks get sporty. Love the comfort and the AC seats. I live I the south and this is a must due to hear in summer. Sound system is good and towing is great. I pulled a tractor with a bush hog out to my land and it moved along great on highway. Few things could be improved. Remember, this truck with all the bells and whistles lists at 51K. With incentives I paid 42K for it. First, for the cost it should have memory settings for the electronic seats. Also, the telescopic steering wheel is manual which is kind of annoying. Finally, thy advertise the EchoBoost at 23 mi/gallon highway. They must have had a tailwind and been driving 55 because I have not gotten anywhere close. Granted, I have the upgrade to 20inch tires and drive about 75 on highway, but I am averaging about 17.5 - 18 on highway. All things taken into account, though, I love this truck. It's fun to drive, looks good, it will fly, and the sound system is boss.

Like this truck

I've got 4000 miles on my new truck and really like it better than my old 2006 F150. With that said I'd like to mention some things I don't like: 1. They've removed the handle used to get into the front driver's seat from the left front pillar- this is stupid seeing how high the step up is. I'd pay $100 extra just to have it. 2. The turn signal cancellation feature is lousy - requires a magical touch to turn them off. 3. The heater controls are awful - you have to take your eyes off the road to use them and they're not logical - bring back the manual knob control. 4. The radio controls are even worse and non- intuitive and again have to take eyes off road. The push buttons should be mounted UNDER the radio dial. The speed controls take your eyes off the road to operate, are mounted too low on the wheel, are not in a logical sequence. It seems that Ford interior designers get carried away with all these electronic so-called features without any common sense or ease of operation. 5. Why doesn't Ford have a tool box in the left rear bed fender like the Dodge? I like my 2013 Ford F150 XLT 4x4 Crew Cab and am getting 17.5 mpg avg overall so far. The rear step feature is great. Disappointed I couldn't get a rear camera without moving up to a Lariat which is overpriced.

Awesome Vehicle! Very nice truck

Rich Ball at West- Herr Ford made purchasing my 2013 F-150 easy. It was my second F-150 I bought from him. If you need a vehicle stop in to see him!

ford truck

Great truck handles well only downside is a small blindside in the passenger side. The truck gets great fuel mileage for a 4x4

2013 Supercab XLT 4X4 5.0 w/Ecoboost

Before buying I compared this truck with Chevy and GMC. This F150 out preformed in power and ride. I have put 2000 miles on it and it has done great. Averaging 16MPG with in town and highway driving is better than I expected considering this is a big 4X4 truck. Not to mention with my heavy foot. It has more cab space than the 2 aboved mention trucks as well. I have no complaints about this truck. Living in south Louisiana, the ride is the most impressive part. Almost rides like a caddy.

Fantastic Truck

Only have 300 miles on this new truck and it's been fantastic. Don't expect more than 16 MPG with average driving unless you use the cruise control. With cruise you can get between 17 and 18 going 70 mph on the freeway. Have not had issues with the Ecoboost but am aware of the potential problems. This truck has great pick-up thanks to the twin turbos. Sounds great too! The interior is outstanding and stereo 2nd to none, especially in a truck. Very comfortable seating. Love the MyFord Touch w/Sync. Will do updates as I drive this gorgeous vehicle.

New XLT

First time Ive bought a brand new truck, so far I love it. i wish as an XLT model it would have come with back up sensors. But other than that I love it. 38 gallons of fuel makes me stop half as often at the gas pump.
