Not Worth it!
I love the sharp looks of my new Ford Taurus SHO, but I expect more for a car costing $20,000.00 more than I think it is worth. It is fast, but here are the downsides: Price; poor gas mileage; uncomfortable seats, "MY-FORD" & "FORD-SYNC" systems are way too complicated and voice commands rarely work the first, second or even third times; the massaging seats hit your "bottom", but that's it (strange!); fit, finish and materials cheapen over time with lots of rattles, loosening of gaps, shotty parts and much widening of gaps; the ride suffers with so called "sports suspension", yet handling does not excel in return; more orange peel than in any car I have ever owned; etc. Yes. There are likes, but at nearly $50,000.00, I cannot justify the mainly cosmetic-only perks. The car is powerful, but the car pulls to the right when you put the pedal to the metal. In retrospect, I should have waited for the 2011 Dodge Charger R/T with HEMI V8 and AWD, but the lease on my 2008 Mustang GT (car traded) was up before the '11 Dodge Charger was released and I really wanted a sedan, thus, did not look at the 2011 Dodge Challenger. Also, the Challenger and Mustang are NOT offered in all-wheel-drive. In short, a car costing as much as the '11 SHO should be more refined and have RWD based AWD (at least as an option), get better MPG and a large V8, such as that on my dearly missed Mustang or either the 5.7 or 6.4 liter HEMI's found on the '11 Charger/Challenger.

Excellent Quality and Styling
2011 Ford Taurus Limited, red candy metallic. First tried the 2011 Taurus as a rental car. I really enjoyed the fit, finish, styling, and features. When my own car needed replacing, I went immediately for the Taurus. The exterior styling is great - big wheels and lowered roof line. The interior layout is intuive and the controls are easy to operate. I especially like the Sync system and the high performance sound system. The on-road performance is good - very stable with minimal body roll. This is not a sports car, however. If you want a sportier ride, consider the SHO model.

825 Dollars
I'll take all the 2011 Taurus cars on your lot for only $825 a piece!!! I can't wait to see if this car will fly as good as the General Lee did on TV. I already ordered crash dummy suits for my old lady and I. The kids can buy their own.

Takes some getting used to
I wish I had test drove the vehicle more before buying. I guess I just got tired of car shopping and this car is so nice looking both inside and out that I got carried away. This car is not for me and wish Ford had the 60 day return like Chrysler. The car looks big but once inside it seems so cramped and so many blind spots. The window openings are so high it?s difficult reaching a drive-thru banking window. I bought the car to travel but it?s not a traveling car. Cup holders don?t support cups with handles and forget picking up a cup of coffee at a drive-thru?it will disappear in the deep cup holders. All three DC outlets are hot all the time so have to be careful to unplug everything on shut-down and no DC outlet in trunk for a cooler. My wife (5? tall) must use a seat cushion in the passenger seat to be able to see out and she continually points out no place to stow her purse and trash can. The car does have some pluses. Plenty of power. Very quiet. Okay ride but it?s no Cadillac. Super gas mileage (worst I?ve had with mixed driving is 26mpg and highway around 30mpg). I love the looks of the instrument panel and the entire dash is well laid out. It?s nice not to have to take your eyes off the road and look down to adjust the radio and heat controls. 5000 miles later? I have become very fond of the car. Got used to the blind spots. Got new coffee cups. Become used to the things that irritated me at first. It is fun to drive, very quite, very comfortable and great acceleration and gas mileage.

worst riding car ever
I took delivery of a brand new 2011 Ford Taurus SEL AWD 2 weeks ago. Didn?t get down the road ? mile and noticed a vibration from the drive line. Drove car 200 miles and then took back to dealership for inspection and repair. One service technician took for a test drive and then he came back and two other technicians took the car for a drive. They came back and said the new car definitely had a vibration coming from the drive train but they did not know where to begin. They said since it is a brand new model they had very little history with it plus Ford did not have any TSB?s posted regarding the vibration. They decided to give me a loaner car and do a thorough inspection of the car. After 2.5 weeks, they said the Ford field service engineer was out and he deemed the vibration to be a normal operating characteristic of this new 2011 Ford Taurus SEL AWD car. The vibration begins at about 40 mph. It is the worst at between 50 and 70 mph. It is independent of the tire rotation and the engine speed. Meaning you can be going down the road at 65mph and shift into neutral and shut off engine and vibration does not change. You can swerve side to side and this doesn?t affect the vibration. The best way to describe this vibration is when you past by a construction site and they have a vibrating compactor running along the road and you can feel your car shake. I would not buy this new car model until Ford has a fix.

Incredible Sedan
I just bought a New 2011 Ford Taurus SEL in the head turning Kona Blue! This car is awesome. Anytime I drive it I get stares and comments about it. I searched for 2 months to find a car with this much to offer. Nothing else even came close. It has the feel of a sports car, the room of a large family Sedan and the upgrades and options of a Lexus. Do yourself a favor and test drive a Taurus before you make a purchase... you'll be glad you did!
