Good and reliable

Our EX Accord is my spouse's but I drive it on occasion. She loves the care (we've had several Accords before starting with the 87). Also, I have rented hundreds of vehicles (I travel extensively)and have experienced the best and worse. I really like the exterior stying and the interior is above average in space and stying. (more room then a camry or altima, or so it seems) Performance is above average (we opted for the larger 190hp, 4 cylinder)and gas mileage is average to above average. Handling is quite good. (camry is smooth but not performance oriented like a Honda) Have had no problems or issues, have had the car a year. As with other Accords, a little road noise. The center stack with all the controls for everything seems (at first glance) overwhelming, but the location is high enough to eliminate looking down at controls and once you get over the "crowded look", it is an intuitive design.

Excellent Car

Have owned 4 cylinder Accord for 15 months and driven 17K miles. So far, it has been an excellent car. The 4 cylinder is very smooth and has surprising power. The gas mileage has been about 23 in mostly city driving. Just returned from a 1500 mile trip where it averaged over 33 MPG on the highway. The back seat is a bit bigger and the handling better than a Camry.

rear brake system/ poor design

Rear brake pads wear out too soon. Research rear brake pads on the new accord, and you'll find out.

Big Fuel Eater

Former Honda Accord owners beware! This is a huge, gas burning car. It gets terrible fuel mileage.

Accord was a bad choice.

I didn?t pay sticker for 2008 EX 4 cyl Accord, thanks to my experience and friends I paid almost 3 grand less. But I still think this car doesn?t worse 22K. I liked my 2001 ES 300 better, and even my girlfriend?s 2007 Camry is more comfortable and economical. Accord was a bad choice.

My last Accord

I drove 94,99,2002 Accords before, always 4cyl LX.I wouldn't say i was 100% happy, butcars were nice, reliable, economical and had good resale value.New Accord was easy choice. But 2008 model... Noisy, bumpy ride,20MPG city,problems... I should've get Camry, atleast it's more comfortable, bigger and cost less.

Unbelievable Rear brake problem!

My accord is my baby. I drove the first V6 2008 Accord coupe off the lot... only to discover that I will be replacing rear brake pads every 20,000 miles. My first car was a prelude, I have owned 3 since. To think that the dealership service center can blame it on my driving...unbelievable! I am speechless at how Honda can actual try to justify this obvious lack of performance.

Rear brakes problems & steering wheel

This is my accord. The problems that I have had with my 2008 accord are rear brakes replacement, the silver paint on the steering wheel peeling off, and the cloth interior is detaching at the door.I am not thrilled with honda right now and I would not recommend the newest model to anyone.

Best In Class

I bought my car in January 2008. It is an EX 4 Cyl. From what I've read many people seem to think this package has the best value. You don't get the complicated dashboard, cheap leather, nor the anemic V6. It's the best driver's car of the family sedans, you can place the car where you want it at any time. There is a bit of a disconnect with the steering wheel but the connection with the road is perfect. Complaints: there is a small rattle coming from the glove box that the dealership "can't hear" when they drive it. I noticed the front passenger door handle (exterior) is sticking some but it should get fixed under warranty. I've only owned two cars so the next complaint may not be valid. When the tank is full and the car comes to a stop (no radio on) you can hear the gas sloshing around in the tank. Gas mileage is great, the motor likes to rev (wish it had a manumatic transmission), and the space is fantastic. They also make the best steering wheel. The only competition I've driven was an SE Camry and Altima (hated the Altima). The suspension on the Camry was sporty but there was no connection with the road. To get the same features on the car I would have had to pay thousands more. Get an Accord, simple packages, simple pricing, best car in the class.

Great value car.

I have had my 2008 Accord for over a month and I love it. This is the first Honda I have purchased and I bought it Certified Used. I drive a lot of Highway miles and the 4-cylinder I have has always clocked in at over 31 mpg. I am very satisfied. There is a little road noise from the tires but I think when it's time for new ones that noise will go away. For a 4 cylinder I have no problem picking up to speed. I plan to have this car for a long time. It's a gret value for the money if it's taken care of.
