EX Coupe with 4-cylinder and manual a great choice

It's almost impossible to find a review of a 4-cylinder coupe with the 5-speed transmission. If you're one of the few looking for these, and can find one, buy it! This is nearly the perfect car. It looks great, it's packed full of features (if you get an EX like mine), and it's fast enough to be fun yet really does get 31mpg on the highway. All this from a pretty big car. Unlike competitors, there are Honda traits that make it my personal choice. It lets you know there are mechanical things at work but in a way that emphasizes how well honed they are. To wit: The engine is quiet and butter smooth in normal driving, but sounds wonderful when you floor it and head for the redline. The 5-speed has a nice, positive feel but it easy as pie to use. I've never missed a gear. The ride quality is good and it handles smoothly. It's not a sports car, but within its limits if has a nice, smooth feel to it's responses. Build quality after 9,500 miles of mostly highway driving is what you'd expect of a Honda - faultless. Highly recommended!

I'm sorry I bought this Accord

It's touted as the best gas mileage in its class, so I feel sorry for everyone else in its class My 4 cylinder with 6,000 miles is getting 17-18 miles per gallon in mixed city and highway driving. The car vibrates when it's cold, you can feel it in the steering wheel and almost everywhere else. When the a/c is on, the vibrations are worse. The deler says that its the way of all Honda 4 cylinder Accords. And as for the gas mileage, they claim tht that is really pretty good for the car!

Pretty Good Car

The 2008 Honda Accord has a lot more room than the Civic. It drives fairly smooth and the 4 door sedan has a ton of standard safty features. It is the best value for the money that Honda has to offer. Some down sides are it has bad gas milage. I get about 18 city and 22 hwy. It also has some stiff steering. If they made this a flex-fuel car or in a hybrid version it would be even better. In the end I think it has more positives than negitives.

How can you resist

I bought my accord coupe about 3 months ago and I was so excited. The car is great and exceptional every time I drive it, its about the same consistency which is great! The room in the car is perfect for a big guy like me. Trunk space is average though. The car gets very good millage and handles very well. The only thing I would say the accord needs work on is the acceleration, but can't argue because its a 4 cylinder and it saves gas so can't complain too much. That's the only thing i notice when i try to speed up on the freeway. Overall if you can afford this car...GET IT!!!

Not in complete accord with steering.

A solid car,but the steering seems a little twitchy on the highway.Compared with my 2004 Accord, I can see many little improvements throughout the car, but the 2004's steering is precisely linear, requiring no corrections. I seem to have to consciously drive the 2008, making frequent corrections. Is this an aberration or a consistent comment ? Otherwise, I think my 2008 EX-L 4 cylinder is roomy, well constructed, and is very comfortable. It does, however, feel a little nose-heavy compared with the 2004 Accord. If it is anything like my previous Hondas, it should be very reliable.

I am in love with this car.

I cannot express how pleased i am with my new 2-door accord LX. I think it is very roomy and spacious for a 2 door. Everyone who rides with me comments on the amount of space. It handles fanstaticly. The steering wheel is tight but not so tight that with every twitch your on the other side of the road (which i found in a few acuras that i test drove). As for the features, I feel like someone took the time to place certain features in the appropriate spots. No more reaching across the car to turn off the radio. Everything is central and streamlined. Very convenient for both driver and passenger. All in all, I can't speak any higher of this car. Not to mention the price i paid couldn't be beat!!

best upgrade from my Mustang

The 2008 Accord is the best car to transition my driving style from muscle cars. I test drove the Toyota 2009 Camry and hated the feel and ride. The Accord Lx-P offered the best ride and handling in strictly a passenger car. The car cornered well and smoothly. The gas mileage increased as I broke in the car. I would recommend this car to any one wantng better gas mileage and handling.

New Honda Owner

I bought my 2008 Accord EX-L (4 Cyl) about a week ago and I absolutely love it. I am typically a GM guy and chose the Accord over the Malibu and I am sure glad I did. I am averaging about 28 MPG (City/Highway) on the first 2 tanks of gas. the ride is AWESOME and the 190 HP 4 Cyl engine is more powerful than I expected. Very pleased with my purchase!

I love this car

I just purchased a 2008 Accord EX-L V6.I sold my Tahoe just so that I can get this car.I absolutly love it,it's a great car that looks stylish with out it being way over priced like your other vehicles. My family has always purchashed Hondas. They last a long time.My father had a 1993 Prelude with over 150 K miles and it's still running with a different owener.I highly recommend this vehicle for anyone who want to save gas and have the luxeries of a fancy car.
