My first Honda
After being a Camry fan for many years, Honda finally hit a grand slam (for styling) in the 2008 Accord. It's road "feel" is xlnt, fit & finish is also superior. The 190 HP 4cyl engine is just what this car needed. I really wanted the Camry SE but, I'm glad I gave the EX a try and have no regrets whatsoever. Thanks Honda.

Honda has done it again
For the past twenty years I have had a Honda in my life, my wife, my son and my daughter all own Honda's and for all of us it has been our first choice when looking for a new car. I just bought myself the 2008 Honda Accord 4 door V-6 with Nav. and it is by far the best of all my Honda's of the past. The power, the ride, the room what can I say, It's a Honda, the best of the best.

What A Great Car
Just bought myself a Honda Accord EX coupe and I'm loving it. I've been doing my research for a very long time and is a great change from the 07 model. Coming from a Toyota family... I had my doubts on switching over to Honda but the drive and comfort was too good to pass up. And the price was great. Being able to get this car for the same price as you would get an LX model was just incredible. I'm so not used to all the space. Its a very big car to drive and since it's a new model... it turns a lot of heads. I'm really happy with the purchase and probably stick with Honda from now on

Finally Aggressive and Masculine! V6 EXL Coupe
Have had my 08 coupe for 700 miles so far. Lots of looks on this car. Black on black looks HOT and awesome. "Bimmeresque" with an identity of its own. You have to see this in person as pictures do not do it justice. Had to wait 4 weeks for this. Contract was signed even before it rolled off the truck. It feels like a European car. I've owned an Audi A4, Lexus LS and most recent an 05 Infiniti sedan. I am beginning to like this more than any of them. The fit and finish are tight. Heavy doors give you a solid "clug". Smooth quiet engine. Not really looking for any more - if I was I'd get an import with 450 horses - a true sports car instead and not mess with a 30K coupe. Just a homerun by Honda. For those who think it looks like a Tiburon or Scion - farthest from the truth.

Over Rated
The exterior design is an improvement over previous model. Interior dashboard has too many buttons making selections difficult while driving. Road Noise is excessive in this class. Braking is weak in six cylinder. Can feel cylinder change in V6 and automatic shifts abruptly when cylinders change. Have to purchase navigation system to get bluetooth, this should be standard with many states outlawing use of cell phones while driving. Leather seats are lumpy and lower part of seat presses against lower back excessively making it uncomfortable for passenger on long trips. The good; rear seat roomy, trunk decent size, quality of fit and finish. Their are better vehicles in this price range.

Over 1,000 Miles and Now I Know...
This is my second Accord. The first was a 1986 Accord, so it's been a long time. Since then I have owned 10 high-end German Cars, all BMWs and Mercedes except for one Audi. I had not anticipated purchasing an 08' Accord, but after a test drive of a V6 EX-L with Navi, I couldn't justify spending $15,000+ more for a "near-luxury car". If you did a "blindfolded" test and had people take a test ride (as a passenger, of course), they would feel the sophisticated suspension, enjoy the quiet and powerful V6 engine, hear the German car-like "thunk" of the doors closing, feel the upscale leather, feel the quality textures of the dash and listen to the upscale stereo, they would think they were in a car far more expensive than the Accord. I have been so impressed by the features, fit and finish, minimal body roll, safety features, best in the business navigation system, bluetooth, and even the attractive interior and exterior designs. I live in a mountain valley and need to travel through winding canyon roads and through a change of over 3,000 feet in elevation several times a week. The V6 handles the mountain roads with no problem with the cruise control on. There is almost no body roll in the canyon twisties. It is a real pleasure to drive. XM radio comes in handy so you can keep a station through the entire drive. It has loads of passing power, yet I am averaging 25 mpg in mixed driving and 28 mpg on highway driving through the mountains. The suspension feels as sophisticated as much more expensive European cars. I am also looking forward to spending less on repairs and maintenance and enjoying Honda's legendary reliabilty. I have traditionally spent more on cars, but have to say the Accord is a compelling argument for saving your money and still not having to compromise on getting a quality, state-of-the-art automobile. So far, I am extremely impressed. I test drove both the I4 and V6 EX-L versions and could really tell the difference. The Honda salesrep told me that most people will pick the I4 engine. To me, the V6 was dramatically more impressive and much quieter. Either way, it's a great car.

The second Accord is a charm
Just purchased the Accord 4DR EXlV6NV in Polished Metal Gray last Friday. Yep only a couple of days old, but already, as I make my way through the library that came with the vehicle, I can tell it was not only love at first sight, but one of those lingering loves as well. After giving up my 2001 Accord (some said it had the personality of Al Gore, but that was an insult to the car) I didn't even look at another car after seeing the new Accord. After driving the V6 with VCM the pep was certainly there, but I also enjoyed seeing the little green light come on especially since regular is selling for near three bucks a gallon now. Overall everything about the car appeals to me. I have been using a GPS for over 5 years now and find the Honda version to be relativly easy to use and very complete in function. I am still trying the voice commands and sooner or later I'll get this down as well. People still look at you with a strange eye when it appears that you are talking to yourself, but at my age that does not bother me any more. Wonderful car!

2008 Accord launchs a new era
This isn't my first Accord. I'm one of those Honda owners who keep coming back. I get more bang for my buck with the Accord than I could if I stepped into the "luxury" car field. When I compared 08 Accord EXL-V6 w/Navi to the $35-40k luxury models, I realized what a punch Honda was packing. They were near equal plus I could get all this performance on regular gas. With the price of gas where it is, I cringe at the thoughts of $50+ fill ups. I'm still not so sure that the VCM is such a great innovation?it takes a little getting used to. I first noticed it when I tried to merge onto the freeway. The first time I attempted a merge with the 2008, I came down the ramp (running on either 3 or 4 cylinders) and pushed the accelerator the way I used to with my 2003 and almost got run into. I wasn't going nearly as fast as I expected to be. The next time I tried the same merge I punched it hard and the Accord responded. I don't think it's quite the power house as my old Accord, it's not a weakling either. Another observation I've made concerns gas mileage. While many would be happy with 24 or 25 mpg, I'm not. After 1000 miles on the 08 I've come to the conclusion that the only way to get 28 mpg is to rein it in and stay around 65 mph on the freeway. . These are my complaints. I don't know where to start with the kudos but I'll try. I love the bigger interior. I couldn't imagine that the extra inch in width would translate into so much comfort but it does. I also love the one-touch control for the moon roof and the front passenger windows (folks, they listened to our complaints). I love the automatic-on headlights and auto dim rear-view mirror. Everything about the Navigation system is improved (unless you speak with a Southern accent--I've had to learn to speak like a robot to get it to understand). I like being able to control the audio, mapping and climate controls by voice. I love the bigger gas tank, the stylish 17" wheels, the 270 watt sound system with sub-woofer, and the roomier trunk. Heck, something as simple as the redesigned visors that now allow a full view, instead of partially blocking it (as occurs in the 2003-2007 Accords with leather) is very welcome. My advice to anyone considering the 2008 is to get all the Accord you can afford. I did and am extremely pleased with my purchase. This is my 10th Accord and the best by far.

Best Car! 2008 EX-L
Best and most luxurious car we have ever owned (also most expensive). This is our 3rd Accord, plus one Civic. Some have complained about the noise--we can't hear it. 190 HI-output engine is great. Never knew all these features even existed. All well worth the cost. Understand in some parts of the country it is selling ABOVE sticker price. My friends who have seen it "wow" just from looking at the exterior. We got a Basque Red with ivory interior.
