06 EX Manual Coupe
I bought this car used with 32,000 miles on it. I've driven 10,000 since then. This car is amazing. I like the features that the EX has and the styling of the coupe. The manual transmission is very smooth and sporty. I average out 36 MPG in mixed driving (usually 50% city, 50% highway). If I drive very conservatively, I'll experience 40MPG in mixed driving. Insurance costs are low and the car looks amazing. Honda has outdone itself when they redesigned this model. My mom has a Civic before this generation and it's amazing how much better this generation is. I am looking forward for the next Civic to see how Honda will once again out due itself.

Outstanding Vehicle
I purchaed a Civic Coupe four months ago. To say I am pleased would be an understatement. Averaging 33 mpg in mostly city driving. On highway trips, I have been seeing 40 mpg. Performance, for a 4cy, is excellent. Quality shines through in every way. The vehicle feels much larger than it is. I traded a 2005 Corolla for this Civic. The differences are immense. There is no comparison, the Civic wins in every category. I even convinced my daughter to purchase a new Civic.

Ideal car for everything
I bought Honda Civic 2008 DX-G one month ago. I got 5,3 L/100 (45 mpg) and my civic is not hybrid. On my regular use, 22 km commute 2 times per day 70% highway, it takes 7,3 L/100 km (33mpg). The performance is very decent. I tested the car and it gives good acceleration at start and with 80 to 120 km/h. The car is very quiet for the class it belongs to. The quality of design and materials is impressive and made me feel like I got a luxury car for 22500 $CA. Definitely the best product on the market, well balanced, and allows other people to get fuel since you dont take it all !

Good Car
A redesigned eighth-generation version of Honda's smallest model went on sale for the 2006 model year, with Honda calling it the most-changed Civic since the model was introduced to the U.S. market in 1973.

Great Car, but........
This is the 4th Honda I have purchased. I have the EX-L with Nav. Gas mileage is 35-36 (450-475 miles per tank) I just reached 13,000 miles and developed a whine when the engine was cold. It was the power steering pump due to a leak in the steering rack. Honda replaced the entire steering rack which is fine, but I'm surprised at such a major defect so soon in this car's life.

Gas Disappointment
Due to high gas prices I decided to purchase a new Civic LX 08. First tank of gas gave me only 221 miles. Very disappointed. Everything else about the car is good.

response is lacking
the only thing i can really complain about is the slight lack of repsonse when you stomp the gas peddle. my 04 civic will fly as soon as you touch the gas pedal but the 08 has a slight lag time then it really kicks in. im not sure what the reason is but i've heard the drive by wire technology is to blame from some honda fans. but other than that it is a great car and i highly recommend it to anyone

My 2008 EX CIVIC is real fun!
I have had my car for a few months, I have the 5 speed manual transmission and I must say it's real fun. The upsides is the Civic is real light so it has great gas mileage, I filled up my tank in Turlock and drove to Santa Rosa (2 hr drive) than drove from Santa Rosa back to San Jose which is another 2 Hr drive and my tank barely made it past a quarter of a tank. You can't really go wrong and the look is great!! The only downside is that it's very common and you can't see the front of the car at all not even the hood of it so you don't know when you park your car in front of a curb you can't see it! So you can risk damaging the front bumper or even the fog lights. That's the only thing, other than That you can't go wrong!

Delighted with the Civic-EX
Everything about my Civic EX is impressive. It feels almost as roomy as the Acura TL and looks more stylish than any car in its class. The build quality is evident in the lack of any line flaws, much better than my Mercedes C-280. It's quiet, comfortable, ergonomically well designed, and most importantly, it saves a lot of gas at 36 MPG highway, especially when your commute is 80 miles a day. I find it fun to drive and am glad I spent my 20K on a car that's good for my pocket as well as the environment.
