I LOVE this car!

I wish I could go back in time and buy a brand new one. It's comfortable, it's great to drive, handles beautifully, I can fill it with stuff and haul it all over town. I'm a taller person, so I love the height of getting in and out of the vehicle. Gas mileage could be a little bit better-but I'm not complaining. I enjoy driving my CRV!

great road trip car

very spacious and reliable engine. Very cool pull out table in the trunk great for tailgating. Speaker system is a little dated but easy to replace. All around, great car for all types of drivers.

Compressor problems plague this car

The 2004 crv is generally a good car and doesn't have too many problems. Unfortunately one of the consistent problems is that the AC compressor dies. We purchased this car used with about 140k miles. The owner had no problems with it but within a couple months, we had to replace the compressor at a cost of about $1200. Within 2 years of that repair, the compressor blew again. At this point, it's not worth sinking another 1-2k to get another compressor, but its summer so riding in the car can be quite uncomfortable. I do not recommend buying this car because it is likely that you will have to replace the compressor relatively often.

2004 Honda CRV LX

I have had this vehicle for 13 years. It's been amazing. I have driven the heck out of it, hauled things, towed things. I love my car. At 170,000 miles I am sad that it may be time to get another because it has blown a head gasket. She's been good to me otherwise though.

In Our Family for Years

After my husband drove our Honda CRV for years, he sold it to our oldest daughter. This has been such a functional and reliable car. We have been on trips, made several moves and used it in our daily commute to work. After our daughter married and had her first child, she needed a bigger car. We were sorry to have to sell it outside of our family.

Great Car

The car has been in my family for 13 years and have had almost no issues with the car. It has been comfortable and still is one of the best cars in the winter I have driven.

Fantastically reliable from "day one"

I purchase my 2004 new. Its the CRV model. I've had absolutely NO problems whatsoever with this gem of a car. It has 50,000 miles on it and it continues to drive "like knew!"....so why in the world would I EVER want to buy another new car?

love this auto

I purchased this vehicle used with 105000 miles on it. the condition was great. A one owner vehicle and it has been well taken care or. One of my favor features is the rack and pinion steering. This vehicle has a wonderful turning radius and very stable handling.

Loving it

I've only had this car a week, but I knew I would love it before I bought it. I've been driving Hondas since I was 17 (31 now) and I was hoping to transition into the SUV world with another Honda. I traded performance for reliability, it's not very powerful but driving my kids around town doesn't require horses. I bought it with 80k and I'm hoping it will give me at least another 80!

Finely Tuned Dream

I've had a 2004 Honda CRV EX for 6 years and have not had a single problem with it. I bought it used in 2006 with 70, 000 miles. It now have over 165, 000 miles and it still runs perfect. The AWD (All Wheel Drive) is a must with these Iowa winters. I have only done preventative maintenance like oil/filter changes, spark plugs, fuel filter, tires etc. The car will run forever.
