2016 Honda HR-V consumer reviews

I had been driving a RAV4 & wanted a smaller SUV. I found the HR-V to be responsive, peppy & very stylish. I bought the EX-L version & I am very happy with all the extras i.e. leather seats, navigation system, heated seats to name a few. I really like the right turn camera. The rear window is small & with a child car seat in the back the view is even further reduced. I am very happy with my purchase.

As cars go it is comfortable and has nice pickup, but the engineering could have done more with system integration. Not very driver friendly to use hands free system or stereo in genral.

I was looking for an SUV/Crossover type vehicle for better performance, preferably an AWD for winter driving. After looking at most SUV vehicles with the same features, the Honda HR-V seemed like the perfect fit. The size is perfect, and the features are exactly what I wanted... at a much more affordable price. Before this car was introduced, all others in a similar category would've been at least $2,000 more. Having a moon roof is a must for me, and was included in the HR-V EX AWD, as well as a backup camera, right lane driver assist camera, fog lights, heated seats and mirrors, touchscreen screen and controls, plenty of cargo space, and HDMI/USB ports among other features standard on most vehicles of this type. The user interface is easy to navigate for music, heat controls, phone book. Some might not like the absence of actual dials you can control for heat, volume, etc. but it doesn't matter to me. Don't have a problem even while wearing gloves, and many of the controls can be accessed on the steering wheel. There are HondaLink apps that can be downloaded on your smartphone, but most of the advanced features (including a navigation app for an extra charge) need special HDMI/USB cable connectors that need to be purchased separately as well. I have the model without navigation, leather seats, or Sirius. For my needs, using navigation through my phone is suitable enough, and listening to music through iTunes or Pandora can be heard by using the Bluetooth or iPod audio choice. There are not 'real' carpets on the flooring, but the included floor mats which are ample sized cover all floor surfaces. The center console compartment could be bigger, they don't hold CDs but not an issue with me. A nifty feature is the ability to change the color of the touchscreen with 4 options to fit your mood! The acceleration is better than my last car, but not the fastest it could be. I like the 'ECON' button for better performance and fuel efficiency, the driving experience doesn't seem to be diminished by using it. Overall, very happy with this car; can't really think of any negatives. This is my third Honda purchase, and probably my best one.

DONT LIKE THE COLOR I GOT ON THIS CAR. & I MISS MY CR-V!!!! CANT WAIT TO GO BACK TO MY CR-V. BUT I LOVE THE RIGHT TURN CAMERA!!!!!!!! & LIKED THE OLD PHONE BETTER. THIS ONE IS TOO COMPLICATED!!! MY CR-V TELEPHONE WAS MUCH EASIER!!!!

Needed a car to haul my English Mastiff around. This car has a feature that lets you fold the second row of seats UP! No other car maker offers this feature. I had bought a Civic for my daughter years ago and it is still running. I still am on my first tank of gas - over 350 miles with a quarter tank to go.

Purchased this vehicle in Sept 2015 and I love it, I cannot say enough nice things about it. The ride is amazing, even in the snow, gets unbelieve gas mileage (I am averaging 45 to 50 miles a gallon). Comfortable back seat, tons of cargo room with the seats down.

We bought this HRV for my wife. We ordered it in August of this year and are happy to finally own it. We traded our 2007 Accord, one of the main reasons for choosing the HRV is my wife babysits our grandchildren and living in the midwest and the AWD with this car gives us piece of mind for driving in winter. Also the style is great, very sharp looking. If there are any cons, it is the leg room in the front seat and the head room in the rear seat, other than that, we thDue very pleased.

The car is comfortable easy to handle and I like all the features. The ability to see what is behind me when reversing is great. The hands free phone is awesome. The storage capacity is greater than my previous car. Drive it and you will love it.

This is my third Honda, and will not be my last. I LOVE them. The HR-V was an excellent choice for me. I drive approximately 1,000 miles a month, I'm averaging 32 MPG. With living in Oregon the weather is constantly changing, tons of rain and snow. I feel very safe in my travels. Plus it's super cute, sporty and sexy... My only real complaints are that it has a small interior design feeling and lacks the "get up and go" that I was looking for.

I brought my new HR-V LX AWD last week. Excellent car in less price. Lovely interior and exterior features. I could feel the smoothness and good pickup while driving it. Liked the Parking brake features. It is so easy to switch on and off the parking brake. This car is so easy to control while on sharp turns. Overall hats off to Honda for introducing so many good features even in the LX model.
