Perfect size with lots of luxury features
9 months and 4500 miles into my HR-V EX AWD, I look forward to any excuse to drive. The features that come standard with the EX are all that I wanted plus many others I wouldn't have expected in a vehicle at this price point. I feel like I?m riding in luxury with features such as: -Keyless entry and push-button start eliminate fumbling with keys -Quiet ride: sound insulation minimizes road noise and resulting fatigue -Heated seats -Steering wheel mounted controls -Navigation function with HondaLink app -Large 7" screen -Comfortable, firm seats -Adjustable height of driver's seat -Cloth interior trim feels much more luxurious than the all-plastic interior on some other vehicles I considered -Visibility: rear headrests designed so that when lowered, they're at same height as rear seat and don't block driver's view -Safety: lane watch camera eliminates blind spot on passenger side -Cargo space: "magic seat" is brilliant -Stylish exterior with great lines. Love that it looks like a two door because of hidden rear door handle. -Better mileage than some hybrids As for lack of power mentioned in some reviews, I?ve found it to be quite peppy, agile and responsive. After realizing that I need to depress the accelerator further than I had been used to doing in previous cars, I find that there?s plenty of power to pass on the highway. Improvements I'd like to see: -More storage compartments. Console has virtually no storage space other than cupholders. Canadian version has removable cupholder inserts, not sure why US version doesn?t. -Navigation through audio menu could be better designed so that fewer steps are required -A little added height to the vehicle. I'm tall and with driver's seat raised to the highest position as I like to sit, there isn't much headroom.

Great except...
Overall this is a fantastic car! With one bothersome flaw. The cargo cover is a total pain! It's made a lot like those foldable window shades (but can't be folded!) and slides into a slot. This makes getting things in and out of the cargo space difficult. And, where exactly should I put it when something taller than its slot needs to go in the back? It could use a little more power too. Honda should've at least given it as much power as a civic. Aside from those things I really like the car. Exterior styling is great and the interior is quite roomy

It's a Honda!
For this HR-V being our 1st Honda and new car purchase, we are pleased....has some cool features the back seats do for optional storage, has Eco option, paddle shifters, USB ports, side and rear cameras, heated seats and mirrors, is not a powerhouse but sufficient and great gas mileage, looks sportier than cr-v

good experience
The entireto process was very smooth. The test drive of different models allowed us to make a well thought out decision on our purchase. After having read reviews about the HR-V, we were able to concentrate on the points we read about. The acceleration is more than adequate for both street and freeway driving. The handling and turning radius is great. The rear view camera is a super plus. The elevated sitting position is very nice and the all around open view is nice. The vehicle styling is quite nice. The interior room is very good. The instrumentation is very accessible and easy to follow. The seats are adequate(firm). Over all, pleased with overall performance.

Great Little Crossover
I went from a sporty Acura RSX to a CRV then the HRV came out - and it's just the perfect size for me and my small family! It's cute, fun to drive and reliable! I've been buying my cars at Hinshaws in Auburn for several years now and Sean Tran knows how to get me a good deal and find me the car I want! :) If you're looking for a roomy, but smaller SUV / Crossover- the HRV is it! And I love that barely anyone else has one on the road! The CRV was everywhere - although that's a great vehicle too .. I love my new HRV more .. definitely more fun and economical to drive...

Great technology and comfort!
Purchased a 2016 Honda HR-V EX AWD and must say that my first impression after a few hundred miles is very good. I love the styling, quiet and comfortable ride and the available technology. Switching from a 2013 Subaru Impreza to this car really reminded me of the sophisticated engineering that Honda is able to deliver. I'm especially impressed by the technology such as SmartEntry (no keys), push to start, brake hold (great when crawling in traffic which I do a LOT), LaneWatch camera (cool camera integrated with the right blinker), back up camera, etc... I'm not used to a car with all that new technology and this one really delivers in that area. The versatility and space inside is great, and the sunroof is fun on cool nights and nice days. On the downside, power is light but not bad. I figure that is ok because that is what gets me 30+ mpg. They could have put in a more powerful motor, but then people would be complaining about the mileage. I'll take the mpg!! Hey, could have been worse since some of the Asian versions get the 1.5 L motor. As far as price, I was able to get a great month end price on a model with NO dealer options or add-ons. No way I was going to pay the $2,000+ dealer markup or waste time haggling. The car is not rare, it does not demand a market adjustment premium, and there are plenty of dealers and cars to choose from so shop aggressively. Anyway, I digress... it's a great car so far and if it turns out to last like my last few Honda's, then I'm hoping for plenty of trouble free miles. Happy shopping!!!

she's a good one
Not the most powerful (learning to love CVT) and the seats need more lumbar support and angle adjustable headrests but she has all the features I wanted at a price I could afford.

pleasantly surprised
HRV is a sharp looking crossover with plenty of room and plenty of options in the EXL-Navi. Went to look at the CRV and walked out with the HRV. I'm glad I did. I was concerned with the acceleration issues I have read in reviews and unless your a race car driver there is plenty of power and it handles great. The exterior design is sporty and the interior is comfortable and roomy. For the money you are getting a really nice ride with a lot of the features you get in a more expensive vehicle. To Quote my son "it's fancy" and" real nice" .

Fun and Practical
This is the sixth Honda I have owned and they just keep getting better. After owning it for a week my husband and I took a six thousand mile cross country trip from the East coast to the Colorado mountains and back. It was very comfortable, held all of the gear we needed with plenty of room to spare, and got much better mileage than the official rating. We averaged 35 mpg for the whole trip and had a couple of tanks at 40 in the mountains. Around town I've been getting 32. I have the EX AWD so there are plenty of nice features but not the complexity of the EX-Navigation system. The only minor complaint I have is that I miss the storage cubbies and console room that I had in my 2002 Element. Overall, if the Fit is too small and the CRV too big, this is the perfect car!

Quiet an Impressive Crossover by Honda
Honda HV-R is lot more similar to the Honda Vezel model which was launched in Japan. Vezel was also the Mid-Size Crossover as the HR-V. Well Honda has played its trump card there is no Mid-Size Crossover by Honda in the Market but now they've launched it.
