Not bad for the money

The car is serving its purpose very well. I don't think I could have done better. And it drives well for it to be what it is.

I love driving this car

This car met 100% of my wish list. Great gas mileage, heated seats, room for 5 and it’s got get up an go! For my commute, it’s the perfect ride.

Nice car

The gas tank is smaller than my Toyota but the ride is smooth. The seats are comfortable. I just wished I had a manual for my car. I had it tuned up at the Hyundai Dealership but it seems to do a pull back thing or shimmy business at times.

Almost died from front air bag issue

I had a head-on crash in March of 2019 when I owned this vehicle. I was stopped in the center lane waiting for traffic to clear so I could make a left-hand turn. Another vehicle coming from the opposite direction & speeding got in the center lane too early to make his left-hand turn & hit my car head on. My vehicle was pushed back about 100 feet. There was nothing left of my car in front of the front tires, all of it dragging from the front of the other car. The front airbag only inflated to the size of a basketball around the lower part of my body. Exterior vehicle police photos confirm no inflated or deflated air bags visible in their photos of my car, but were clearly visible in photos of the other car. Thus my chest hit the steering wheel violently, splitting my sternum in half. I was hospitalized for 5 days & flat on my back at home for many weeks, needing home health care. This car may be pretty but it definitely was not safe for me. The lawyers told me that no lawyer will take a case against an auto manufacturer for an auto defect any more because their lawyers tie it up in court for many years.

So today I hit 100K miles...

Yes, I drive a lot. I wanted to share my experience with my 2017 Elantra Limited 4 door (assembled in Korea not Alabama). I’m very happy to report NO problems at all during my first 100K miles. NONE! :) Oil change, tire rotation, engine air filter replacement and repeat...lol. That’s it! I just saw the new 2021 Elantra on the Hyundai website and dislike the exterior/interior design. I’m a minimalist and will keep my minimalistic 2017 Elantra until it hits about 250K miles :) Favorite features? LED taillight design, Infinity sound system and the minimalistic (think Tesla) interior/exterior design.

Vehicle Concerns

I thought this car would be a great fit for me, a good deal and a good size. Please beware check for recalls before you buy one, if the dealer can't provide you with one, dont buy it!!

Surprisingly amazing

When I was first looking at cars this particular one never crossed my mind but when I saw the interior and performance of the car I fell in love with it, the car is pretty much everything a girl would want, it looks fancy and elegant with a modern touch

So far a great car

Great vehicle and low miles, just the type of vehicle I've been searching for, since looking for a vehicle. I'll be putting it on the highway this weekend.
