Only Regret

My only regret is I should have waited till Kia offered incentives. I paid more than I want to admit. But, the car is something I would recommend to everyone. My complants are little ones like the parking brake may not be fully disengaged if your a little hippy so pay close attention there. Especially if you have thick seat covers. I have pets and want to protect the seats for as long as possible. The seatbealt is not an easy thing to buckle there's no flexiablity with the stationary buckle part. Lean to one side and it slides in fine. It's just to far back. I feel like I'm driving a secure, comfortable go cart. It's fun to drive and the mileage after 2 months is at 29 MPG. Told it will get better after a little more time. Ohhh, forgot the basic Soul does not have a tire at all. Only sealant and then states can only drive less than 150 miles must get it fixed right away. Hope your not between paydays if that happens! I don't care that much for the plastic wheel covers. With age I know it's gonna look bad, but for now look don't touch. No one's gonna want to steal them that's for sure! Can be easily broken off if anyone spiteful comes along. It's true about the road noise. If you have all the windows down it's not a problem but if you only have one down you'll think somethings wrong with the car when it's not. I fill my gas tank every other week now, at the same distance driving prior to my purchase. I've never cared enough in the past to give a review of any vehicle I've purchased till now. Girls and Guys will love this car.

Not only for the young

We are senior citizens. Easy to enter & exit. Of all the gadgets, find backup camera most useful. Hated to give up my 1995 Civic, but it got too small for the behemoths on the road today. Plus becam hard to enter & exit.

Just Good ol' Fun for the Soul

I purchased a new 2013 Kia Soul+ and have had it for a month now. I initially wasn't looking for a Kia at all. I thought that their cars were cheap and not up to certain standards I was looking for in something I'd be spending hard earned money on. Luckily, I took my mom with me and she encouraged me to give it a test drive. As soon as I got in and saw how spacious, sleek, and comfortable it was I was sold. It also feels like I'm driving an SUV (which was my first choice) than just another compact vehicle. I'm only 5'4'' and feel there is more than enough head room. My family of 5'9''-ers and up also feel comfortable in the backseat. I only wish it was big enough to fit 3 full sized adults in it comfortably but that's not my problem since I have the good fortune of always being the driver... lol. I will say that I love the subwoofer that was built into the car. It has an awesome sound system. That's pretty important to me since I'm only 28 and love listening to my music loud. Also love the sunroof. I just wish it were summer so I could use it more often. The touch screen radio and display is also very good. I just wish at times it were more sensitive so I wouldn't have to repress the radio controls. I enjoy using the bluetooth feature to call people and tell them I'm outside waiting for them. The one thing I don't like about the soul is it's minimal trunk space. But luckily there are trays under the rug to place things I don't want others seeing. FYI Mine did not come with a spare tire. It came with a tire kit in the case of a flat. If that's important to some people to have, I suggest talking to your dealer about getting one from Kia. It is not that big of a deal for me because I don't know how to change a tire anyway and thank God for Triple A.

Best small SUV for the money

I love this car!! It handles like a dream, and is easy to drive. The rear camera is so useful when backing up. The car doesn't look like anything else on the road! I chose this car for its looks, warranty and incredible affordable price!! Best car I have ever owned!!

Very pleased

We wanted a smaller vehicle that you didn't have to climb up out of or jump down from. The Soul is easy to manuver and park, easy to enter and exit, and easy on gas without the negatives of an SUV. No compromise on accoutrements with this vehicle. We are very please with our purchase.

Highly Dissapointed

Less than a month after purchase problems started. Will not get over 30 mpg on highway, but is you check Google and Yahoo you will see the EPA busted Kia for falsifying the mileage data. Have electrical issues with my door locks. Can not lock drivers door at all. You will be driving down the road and they randomly start locking and unlocking repeatedly non-stop. Also, engine makes a rattling sound when starting after 30 to 40 minutes from last time driven. Seat and headrest very uncomfortable for anyone over 5'9" tall. But overall it is surprisingly roomy for the size. Electrical and engine issues within first month of ownership.

My Soul Got Crushed by my heart went on

I bought the 2010 Soul when it was months old. One of the biggest reasons I bought it was for the promise of safety. Recently it was tested when someone illegally turned and as much as I tried to avoid a collision, it happened. Sadly, the car was declared a total loss. HOWEVER, luckily, because of how the car was made, I escaped with my life. From that moment, when I saw how the built-in crumple zones REALLY worked and the passenger compartment was unscathed and intact, I was a true believer in the excellent safety ratings the Soul receives. I'm going to buy another one as when comparing other vehicles, the Soul always comes out on top. I laugh at the misguided marketing this car receives from KIA. Even for this middle-aged man, I know that you have to be smart as a fox, not a hamster to get this car.
