lexus gx 460 2023 exterior oem 01 jpg

The Lexus GX 460 is a reminder of how SUVs used to be, with the model being the last V-8-powered SUV remaining in the brand’s lineup. The model is expected to receive a major redesign in the future, but before the GX goes under the knife, Lexus is giving it some updates for 2023. The 2023 GX 460 starts at $57,575, an increase of $300 versus the outgoing model (all prices include a $1,150 destination charge).

Black Line Special Edition Returns, Gains New Features

The GX 460 Black Line Special Edition first made an appearance in 2022, and strong sales prompted Lexus to bring it back for the 2023 model year. Like before, the Black Line builds upon the Premium trim level, adding black accents to both the interior and exterior of the SUV. The package now also comes with a 360-degree camera system that provides drivers with better visibility when maneuvering the big SUV in tight areas.

The color lineup for the Black Line has also been updated slightly, as Eminent White Pearl replaces Starfire Pearl and joins the exclusive Nori Green Pearl hue. Meanwhile, the Luxury trim gets a standard Mark Levinson Premium Surround Sound Audio system.

Pricing and Release Date

The 2023 Lexus GX 460 is available now. Lexus didn’t make any major changes to the pricing ladder, and the full lineup is listed below. The 2023 GX 460 is still powered by an aging 4.6-liter V-8 engine that makes 301 horsepower mated to a six-speed automatic transmission; four-wheel drive is standard on all trims.

  • Base: $57,575
  • Premium: $58,910
  • Black Line Special Edition: $62,310
  • Luxury: $68,230

Great purchase decision- ‘23 Lexus GX460!

I traded my 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE450 4Matic for a brand new 2023 Lexus GX460 and could not be happier! I love how solid and substantial the GX feels and even thought it is not at quick as the MB with its turbo inline 6, I love how the V8 engine in my GX sounds and performs with its perfectly matched power train. The truck looks nice, rides nice and it a great place to spend time. I’m looking forward to many years of enjoyment since these vehicles are known for their legendary reliability.
