Great mid sized car

Mazda6 is a really nice car that performs good most of the time. The wheel is awesome. But the power is not that good compared to the 2.5 L engine.

Comfort

This is a very comfortable car to drive and you get it for a better price than other luxury cars. Good gas mileage with adequate power. I love the style inside and out.. The technology is nice you can answer your phone, listen to pandora or Iheart radio through Bluetooth. The safety is great blindspot monitor, backup camera, the headlights bend in a curve. I love this car it's fire red I would buy it again.

I love this car

There is nothing that I dislike about this car. I think it should cost about $10,000 more, but do not tell Mazda. I agree with most of the reviews on this site. Some people have commented that there is a little road prize range noise. I agree, but it is not anymore than most cars in this and the noise does not bother me at all. I can easily talk to others as I drive on the freeway. This is something that I have found difficult in other cars. I think this car does everything much better than average and it drives and looks great. For my money, it is the best car in its class.

Waiting for the Diesel Engine

This is the most stylish vehicle in the family sedan market today. I'm waiting for the diesel engine that will arrive here stateside Spring of 2014. It's suppose to have a ratio that doesn't need the DEF (Diesel Emission Fuel) additive that the Chevy Cruze and the VW TDI engines require. Time will tell, but the more people I speak to several of them are looking at diesel for their next car.

Nice car

Just traded in an 07 Mazda 6. The 2014 Grand Touring model is light years ahead. Better ride , much quieter inside. Perfect fit and finish. I have all the new electronics & they work perfectly.

Pretty good so far..

Pretty happy with this car so far. It handles well and pretty speedy but on the interstate the steering is all over the place and road and wind noise is pronounced.

A driver's car

I have had my Mazda6 GT for just over 2 weeks. I can't comment on reliability yet, but this car is the most enjoyable car to drive. It has great handling, is responsive and makes you feel connected to the road. The car takes corners like a pro. I absolutely love driving this car. I find myself taking the long way home. The first week I had this car, I would take it for a drive after midnight, just so I could avoid the heavy traffic and experience some speed with the car ( I live in Jakarta which is notorious for horrible traffic conditions. Average speed is 10 mph most of the day! ). The interior feels expensive and has good ergonomics. The steering wheel feels great. Initially I wasn't too impressed with the design of the dashboard, but it has grown on me and I really like it now. Exterior design : I can't keep my eyes off it. It has great curves, a great road stance, the 19" wheels make a big difference. It looks like a sports car. Great looking from almost any angle. I don't care too much whether the navigation screen is small or large. I also don't particularly care whether the entertainment system is below standard or not easy to use. None of it really matters to me because the car is just so much fun to drive. Road noise is rather loud, mainly due to the 19" wheels and the ride is stiffer than I'm used to ( I owned a Honda CRV before purchasing the Mazda6 ), but again, the great handling and enjoyment of driving the car makes up for any shortcomings. This is one car I would definitely recommend buying.

A driver's car

This car handles very well like a sports sedan and has excellent acceleration for a 4. Very smooth transmission. Comfortable for driver and passengers. Getting used to the warning signals for vehicles to right or left but really like the visual display for same.Great gas mileage.Only one serious drawback--poor visibility due to the front support post and one minor..not enough storage space in the front cabin for essentials.

My New Mazda 6 GT

First, it's probably the most fun car to drive I've owned since my 1972 Camaro. Didn't think it could beat the Genesis; I was wrong. It feels light on it's feet and has more than plenty of power. It'll do 70 in a seeming heartbeat; the fastest I had it was about 85 passing a minivan and was clearly not straining. For fun, I took MO Route 94, which parallels the Missouri River from Jefferson City to St. Charles, on the drive home. It's the sort of two lane road that really shows off a car's ride & handling characteristics -- a nice blend of straight flats and hilly twisties, usually with minimal traffic. The 6 was an absolute hoot to drive on it. It handled the curves, often combined with hills and dips, better than the Genesis. It corners flat as a pancake, and with the torque of the DI engine absolutely powers out of bends like a sports car. While I wouldn't say it rides better than the Genesis, at least on freeway stretches, it does have a firmness to it that inspires confidence when the going gets a little lumpy (the Genesis would get a little out of character in such situations, bounding and rolling a bit). The 6 takes a bump with one thump and that's it -- no rebounding or pitching. The paddle shifters are actually more useful than I expected, especially when the road gets a little twisty. Second, the seating is about perfect for my size/build. The seat bolsters are just right in holding me from shifting or sliding in the curves. And the firmness is spot-on, considerably more "accommodating" than the Honda Accords I drove earlier. There's plenty of leg room for me and a full size passenger behind me. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the nicely padded door and console armrests -- as comfortable as those on the Genesis. I reset the trip computer at the beginning of the drive to Lake of the Ozarks and checked the fuel economy read out when I got to Camdenton -- 40.2 mpg. I hadn't filled up since picking up the car -- the average mpg for the first (and second, by the way) tanks was 36.6 mpg, and both included a hundred miles or so of putting around town. Will be interesting to see how good it gets when the thing really gets broken in. In any case, 500+ miles per tank is a piece of cake regardless of where it's being driven.

Best 2014 mid-size sedan for the money

Purchased my 2014 Soul Red Mazda 6 Grand Touring a month ago, didn't even have Mazda on my radar when we first started looking for a new vehicle to downsize from our 2008 crossover/SUV. I test drove a Subaru Impreza, Hyundai Elantra, Nissan Altima, Ford Fusion - no Toyota Camry, thank you, I'm not that old yet! :) - all decent vehicles, but nothing that really had that "wow" factor. We happened to see a commercial for the 2014 Mazda 6, read a few reviews online, and decided to check it out. As soon as I saw the vehicle, I was impressed - the design of the car, especially from the sides with the way the fenders curve and the way the headlights look, seems like it should belong to a much more expensive vehicle, beautiful! After years of driving four cylinder vehicles (our previous car was a gas/electric hybrid), 184 horsepower seemed like a lot of power! I do have to admit that this car can be a little slow in getting up to speed from a full stop, but because I tend to have a bit of a leadfoot, that probably is a positive thing for me. But when you're up around 55 MPH and you want to pass someone, this vehicle picks it up in a heartbeat, with very smooth acceleration, watch that speedometer! It handles like a dream, I can slow down right before a 30 mph curve and then accelerate pretty fast into it with no feeling that the car is going to slip out of the turn, no need to tap my brakes like that Kia Optima in front of me. The interior features are just as nice - the Grand Touring has the heated and infinitely adjustable front seats, the sunroof, all of the controls are within easy reach, and I love the Pandora system that comes with it - I just turn on my phone and listen to any genre of music that I've set up, and it's commercial-free while in the car. I have almost 1000 miles on this vehicle already (80% of that is city driving),and have only filled up the gas tank twice - with my previous hybrid vehicle I was going to the gas station about every five days. I find myself taking the long way home from work on the backroads every day because I just enjoy driving this car so much, I don't want to get out of it! To sum it up, I couldn't ask for anything more than what I've gotten with this vehicle - great styling, super fuel efficiency, a smooth, enjoyable cruising experience, and a lot of bells and whistles for the money - no other vehicle in this class comes close! Now if they ever get that diesel version over here in the States, we do have a truck to trade in....
