Impressive!

I've had the 2014 Mazda6 Grand Touring for about a week now, and I absolutely love it. I'm excited to drive it everyday after work, and enjoy getting looks and compliments from people who see me in the car. The gas mileage has been great-I've averaged over 32mpg, and for the most part, its been city driving. I test drove the fusion, accord, altima, camry, and sonata before settling on this car, and the mazda6 was head and shoulders above the rest!

Veni, vidi, vehi domi

I came, I saw, I drove it home. The new Mazda 6 for 2014 is amazing. The cockpit is sporty and attractive with quality soft touch materials and well arranged gadgets. I compared to new Ford Fusion, Buick Regal, Toyota Camry, and VW Jetta. The new 6 was roomier in back, had better front seats, and even the loaded grand cruising trim line is affordable. The new 6 beat them all in handling, ride, and fun factor. The new SkyActiv 2.5 liter four cylinder engine has a little less oompf than the V6 or turbo 4 offerings of the competition but far exceeds any one other natural breathing 4 cylinder. The SkyActiv has good low end torque - better than the old 2.5 liter and the mileage rating is impressive and real. Rated for 28 around town and 38 on highway we are getting about 32 in mixed driving. The new cruise controls, blind spot warning, backup camera, and sound system stomp the competition. My only complaint is the stodgy old TomTom navigation system and lack of a compass - the Nav compares poorly to the in dash navigators in competitor cars and its capability matches with the $100 low end TomTom system you can get at Radio Shack.

The best midsize car for the money

So far I've put 600 miles on my new 2014 mazda 6 touring in pearl snowflake white. I'm getting 34.7 mpg on the computer and 34 mpg out of my first tank. That's about 60 percent highway driving at 70 mph. Handles and corners great with a stiff sporty feel to the suspension. Wind noise is quiet and road noise is only heard on rougher roads with the 19 inch wheels. The analog display looks low tech but works fine. The seats and ergonomics are very comfortable. I look forward to my commute in this car. I recommend that you don't buy this car because I love having the only one on the road around here. I forgot to mention that it has plenty of power and the automatic tranny is awesome.

Great buy!

Just purchased 2014 Mazda 6 Touring, Great vehicle with many standard features on Touring (No tech package). Drives very smoothly with nice engine sound on acceleration, better than Accord, Sonata and Camry. Great design with 19" wheels. I wish it came with HID lights, but getting an after market one. Nice handling and great steering feel. Had it for 3 days with average computer mgp of 32 (~75% hwy), my old Sonata 06 V6 was getting 21.5 on same commute. So far extremely happy.

Just like the Takeri Concept

Have the 2014 Mazda 6 Grand Touring in Liquid Silver and just love the car. The ride is so nice, has very nice details on the fit and finish. Everything about the looks from the outside are just like the Takeri Concept. Great Looking car, unlike the Boring Sedans out there (Accord, Camry, Altima) The 6 speed transmisision shifts very nice, some might say to early but that is for MPG. If you want it to shift later, just use the paddle shifters on the steering wheel. The Radar Cruise Control works great. Leather seats are so soft and plush. The backing up sensors for cross traffic really work great. Saved me a few times already. Do yourself a favor and drive the car you will see why I'm a Mazda Owner for Life.

Best 4 cylinder midsize

This car is fun to drive-it handles better than the Accord Sport and Mazda's new six speed auto trans one of the best in the midsize class (it is superior to the Honda and Nissan Cvts). i also like the fact that push button start is standard on all trm levels unlike the Accord whichonlygives you this feature on its upper trim levels. mazda has the 60/40 split folding rear seat.Honda only has a one piece folding seat. styling wise he Mazda completely outclasses the dated, bland and uninspired styling of the Accord.
