Purchased the 2008 Nissan Versa SL Hatchback with Convenience Package, ABS and the 6-speed manual transmission. 1.8 litre engine won't beat many others off the light, but it's more than adequate for this vehicle, and will cruise at highway speeds easily and steadily, without slowing on climbs. Not built for slalom, but it still feels very comfortable and controllable changing lanes at highway speeds, or on winding roads with acceptable body roll, even with its relatively high body profile. Very comfortable seating, even for a large man like myself, with more-than-ample leg room in the rear. Three seatbelts in the rear will accommodate three adults only if they are very friendly with each other. Good for two adults or three teenagers (or younger), however. Controls are all easily within reach and easy to see. Exceptional cargo and passenger space for this class, and the standard features and available options make this vehicle a top value. Very good safety record with front and side airbags in the front, and side curtains front and rear. I drive conservatively, but am getting 33.2 mpg mixed driving with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Bought this car in July of 2007 right after it came out. I've had the car ever since and love it, I take it into the Nissan for regular servicing, and it's been fine.

What more can you ask for in a car? this car is great. It's stylish yet simple. My biggest recomendation is to get the CVT tranny though. The 4 auto isnt that great. Compare both in a test drive and you'll see what Im saying. I drive about 60 miles a day 5 days a week, and I ony fill up once a week!. About 35 bucks.

shopped around before buying, after test driving other cars, this car was the one. purchased the Nissan Versa Hatchback 2008 without regret. love having all that room. the safety features were a plus. Drives very easy also saved on car Insurance. Have owned car since September 29, 2007 have two boys 6 feet tall and they have plenty of leg room in the front and back seats with room to spare.

Never heard of Nissan Versa until I purchased one. No regrets. It's stylish, comfortable and holds a lot of room both leg room and trunk room. The safety of this car is also phenominal and when you drive it, you know you're noticed because of the look of the car. Don't be deceived, bigger is not always better. This car can hold up against any car on the market today. Nissan did not forget to include quality when this one came out!!
