  • I bought my 2006 XA in 2019 with 112,000 miles on it.

I bought my 2006 XA in 2019 with 112,000 miles on it. It has a little over 300,000 miles on it now. I change my oil every 3,000/3,500 miles. I have replaced the plugs once when I first bought it, and put new brake pads on it. I just now put new rotors and brake pads on it too. The air has worked great this whole time. It is a 5 speed manual, and the clutch is still doing good. Great car. My guess is about 33 MPG overall. I love this car. I'm looking to buy another one.

  • Cute very reliable

Best car I ever owned. Put 300,000 miles on it. No major breakdowns only change the master cylinder one time was the main costly thing at about $350 so it to a friend at $300,000 he put another $187,000 mi on it only changing parts for the air conditioner before he decided to junk it at 487, 000 not fancy but extremely reliable

  • One of my favorite cars I've owned

This car is primarily for commuting, great on gas mileage, it's a five-speed manual so it's just enough fun to drive. This is my second Scion, I previously had a 2005 xB which we also loved. Haven't had to work on my xA yet, but I can only imagine it's just as easy as the xB, so no worries there. Economical fun, bought a very well maintained 2006 with 97K miles, looking forward to putting at least another 100,000 on it!

  • Over 235,000 miles and still going

I was given this car after my friend got a new car after it sat for a year and all I have done is get the spark plugs done and an oil change, and a battery, bought in 2010 and it's been all over the west coast, I'm going to drive it until it dies and able to get a newer car with a longer body, but for a 15 year old car it's still keeping up with no major problems after 235, 451 miles.

  • Best car I've owned

This car has plenty of zip when I have to pass, gets good mileage and I've used to haul a 8 foot 4x4 from Home Depot. Back seats fold down for hauling additional product. I've only had to change tires, battery and oil since I bought used in 2007 with 11,500 miles. It's also kind of sexy looking according to many of my friends. I have the black paint on mine. Always passes smog check and I'm told by the mechanic that it doesn't have timing belt which is bonus points. Cheap reliable transportation is what I was looking for and got with this vehicle.

  • Most gas efficiency of transportation

It’s a zippy little car. Starts up every time. Ten dollars will get about one hundred miles on average. I miss driving it. It’s a fun car to drive.

  • I've owned this car for 6 years and it's still goo

This car has been very faithful to me and the gas mileage is the bomb. I've driven back and forth to Minocqua, WI multiple times and it was an easy drive. Unless it's windy, the car will get thrown. I have isssues because is my height. The car itself does not give a person who's almost 6ft tall much leg room. I would find my legs, hips and tailbone area going numb. My back would hurt quite a bit too. But again this for long drives. Back and forth to work that only takes 15 mins both ways, is perfect. I do like that the backseat can be folded down for luggage room and hobby equipment. It does not have cruise control because of the ipod and aux cable ports but I personally don't like cruise control. I've noticed in the cold winters that, in order for mine to heat up, I need to drive it first. So about 10mins from home I'll get the heat that I needed about 5 mins ago. The whole car does heat up fast after it's been on. It does go from it's too hot to too cold if I shut off the heat for a few minutes. I'd say that this vehicle is definitely made for states that has few snow storms and extreme cold weather. I've been looking for a new vehicle because I have spun out too many times during the snow storms here in Wisconsin.

  • Reliable, fuel efficient, comfortable

This car has been my daily driver (around 80 miles round trip) for 8 years. It has never broken down and only needed tires, oil, and brakes during that time. I love how it sits higher than other small cars (i.e. Civic) so you don't feel like you are sitting on the road. About to turn over 200,000 but hasn't shown any signs of slowing down.

  • Reliable, great gas mileage, bigger inside than lo

Hybrids can get expensive if you need to replace the batteries or generator. Cvt transmissions are expensive to fix and not proven in reliability. So the fit and some other newer small hatch cars were out. Don't want a manual car as resale can be bad and don't like having to shift gears. Been waiting to get a great condition used xa to pull behind our rv. Bought down south as I hate snapping fasteners on rusty cars. 39mpg driving home. 70 k miles, great shape, didn't even hassle on price as it was exactly what I wanted. Br ought 50 inch and 58 inch tvs home from black Friday both in it! Has some typical things that can need replaced like rear wheel bearings, rears are cheap and easy to do, and cruise is expensive and aftermarket if you want it, but a used xa is an excellent choice in a used car if you want reliability, great mpg, and value. Just read all the online owner reviews!

  • I bought a used Scion

I was a little hesitant to buy a 2006 car. This one is awesome! My mechanic told me this will take me well into the 300,000 mile range. Runs beautifully, needs a paint job which I will take care of later. I highly recommend this model 2006 Scion XA
