2018 Toyota 4Runner consumer reviews

I purchased a 2018 TRD off road in silver metallic. Have been very happy with everything it offers and particularly happy with everything it doesn't offer. My desire for a vehicle that was simple, reliable, safe, and not tricked out with everything you might use twice in the vehicles life. I own a 1989 Land cruiser Fj62 and love that platform and size. Upon test driving the 4runner I knew I found my replacement. It's almost like Toyota replaced a few panels and interior parts and still keep true to the old idea of simplicity is reliability. My Land cruiser has never left me stranded and I believe the 4runner is going to follow suit. First thing I wanted was nothing to do with all the extra bells and whistles. Second thing was no sun roof or plastic leather and third was a manual transfer case shifter. When purchasing a vehicle of this capability one has to take in consideration that you aren't winning any race unless off road, most days it will be used to go to work and back, some weekend it will be used to sleep in on a road trip, one day you will cross a flooded intersection after a storm, some year you will need to cut your way through a blizzard, summertime towing a boat to launch at the river, some road trip will take you through a pothole filled city street, then finally a nice vacation to a place few vehicles could ever attempt to go in a mountain or dessert far far away with the kids and dog in the back seats. Then after all that give it to my daughter on her 16th birthday to use for her first adventures in life. Not many automobiles on earth today can put that under their belt. Thank you Toyota for the continued quality and reliability.

Excellent vehicle that meets our needs. Perfectly manufactured, well-engineered and state of the art vehicle. I think , everyone should need to drive it so they can see and feel how dependable it is. Truly, it is a vechicle to own!

I wish it were just a bit larger but it works out well for my needs. If the Sequoia had flat folding second row seats, I would have gone with the Sequoia. This seat configuration works well for my dog in the back.
