I love this car

My Camry has been so reliable!! Bought used in 2014, this car was an oldie but she never drove like it! I got her with ~40,000 and have her close to 100,000 today. I can say the only times I've called a tow is when the started died and my tire got a flat. I've changed the battery and the AC relay went out which knowing that was common for this model, only cost $15 to fix myself in 5 mins. I am strict about oil changes and she runs perfect. Am expecting to pass on to family member who I expect will get no less than 50,000 miles from her. Great car, trading in for a new Camry.

Very reliable and affordable car

This is a great car for anyone. If you get an older model like this, it's particularly good for young drivers and affordable. The Toyota Camry is very reliable and you won't have to worry about it as much as other cars that are the same age.

Great car

My Camry currently has 295,000 miles on it and it has had no problems since I've had the vehicle. My Toyota Camry has been family owned since 2002 and it has been a great and comfortable car to drive on long trips and around town.

Nicest car I

I bought this 2002 Toyota Camry XLE in 2014. It had 84K miles at the time and I've put in additional 30K. The only repairs I've done is change brake pads, tires and regular oil change. Despite being a V6 engine it gives good mileage. The car has heated powered leather seats and moon roof. It's a very reliable and economical vehicle which offers enough luxury at its price tag.

Good Commuter Car

Drives well, mpg is average for its year. Has plenty of torque. Purchased car for going to college and inexpensive. Its value doesn't loose as fast as other cars.

Great vehicle for the money

Bought this used Camry with 118k miles, and expect to drive it for 200k more. Mechanic at large dealership checked it out, and also told me that 2002, 03, and 04 Camry's are/were the best vehicles Toyota ever made. So far have had it for a month... very satisfied.

Best car we've ever owned

We bought our 2002 Camry LE in 2005. It had +/- 22,000 miles on the odometer at the time. Today, it has just under 181,000 miles on it. Aside from expected maintenance and one wreck involving our teenaged daughter, we have had no problems with this car. It's not an exciting vehicle but it's reliable and safe. We'll miss this gal when, or if, she finally has had enough

Good car but cosumes oil

We own a 2002 Camry LE and it has 105,000 miles. We bought it used with 50,000 miles and the original owner had all the maintanence records ( oil changes every 3,000 miles at the dealer ). It started consuming oil at 80,000 miles. It does not smoke and there are no leaks. It consumes about 1 quart every 2,000 miles. Toyota states that this amout is acceptable, but I do not agree. I have never owned a car that consumed oil like this and I maintain my vehicles. I researched this issue and it seems to be quite common on 4 cylinder engines.

Old Taxi Cab

I bought a 2002 XLE V6 for $600. It's fully loaded with every available option and everything works except the driver side seat heater. It is an old taxi cab, it has 256,000 miles on it. Engine seems fine. I have to replace two front wheel bearings and the starter. It runs fine, it's quiet and has plenty of power left. No burning or leaking oil, and it's holding all other fluids as well. Well worth $600. I also need to change the timing belt because it's 150,000 miles over due. I imagine once I replace the timing belt and wheel bearings that I could drive this car long distances with no worries.
