SURPRISED

Just purchased a LE 2012 Camary. My wife and I went to the Honda store to buy an Accord. We drove a 2013 Accord and decided before we buy to check out the Toyota store next door. We drove a 12 Camary and my wife and I could not believe how much quieter the Camary is on the highway. The Accord had more road noise than the 2010 Sebring we were trading in. Also the Camary seats are more comfortable and has a smoother ride. Compared to the Sebring it is like night and day including the Chrysler 200 I test drove about a month ago. The Camary's engine is quite and the transmission is smooth. This is the first Japaness car I ever bought after 45 years of buying cars. I hope it will be a good experience.

filled a need type car

Needed a less expensive, but reliable vehicle for travelling long distance to work. Doesn't have all the bells & whistles, but will do

2012 Camry SE 4cyl

It came down to the 2013 Altima SV and the 2012 Camry SE. I was driving an 08 Titan and needed to get something with better gas mileage. Never had any trouble with my Titan but my wife was having issues with her Murano. She also had issues with a previous Altima. After driving both I decided on the Camry. It just felt better all around and I'm sure in my mind that my wifes issues with her vehicles had a "little" to do with it too. You just can't beat Toyota's overall track record on realiability. I love my Camry. Had it now for about a month and am averaging 31mpg's in Dallas traffic. Haven't had a chance for a road trip yet but I'm sure it'll get what's advertised. Enjoy your new cars all!!

best camry up to date

Owned mazda 626, 2001 and 2005 accord, 2006 passat, 2001 and 2007 camry before. Bought imy 2.5 LE in oct of 2012 and got 15K on odometer by now. Still like design, especially tail lights, one of the most comfortable seats I ever seen (and I?ve seen a lot), Great MPG (mostly city, very few HWY miles, AC mostly on) 25-27 average. HWY MPG absolutely incredible: at 60-65MPH with no traffic trip comp shows 40+MPG (my record is 45MPG) and I have no reason not to believe it. At the same time I?m still impressed with performance of the 2,5 engine coupled with 6 speed AT. Very economical for everyday use and powerful when I need it. Nice stereo, very comfortable driver seat and suspension and very very quiet cabin. Fit and finish is great too. Recently I test drove new 2013 accord and hands down camry still better in every aspect especially comfort and driving position. Few little things like all windows down and illuminated door switches can be improved, but overall it is best camry yet.

I like it, but....

I recently traded by 2011 Camry SE for a 2012 Camry SE just because I wanted the newer technology and newer styling. I must say that I do love the new design, inside and out. The 2012 seems to get better gas mileage than my 2011. On a trip from Philly to Pittsburgh, I averaged 36 MPG! Normally, however (back and forth to work - 10miles) I average 24-26mpg. Still not horrible, but not all they say it is. I am, however disappointed in some of the cost cutting moves Toyota made in the 2012. For instance, the removal of the power up/down passenger window. Sounds silly but I really miss it. I also didn't like the fact that they changed the lighting from LED (2011) to standard bulbs. The headliner also seems much cheaper. I purchased all the goodies. Leather, rear camera, nav, entune, sunroof, dimming mirror, homelink, etc. While I love the rear camera I think the GPS, and Entune was a horrific waste. The car takes a very long time to connect to my phone via bluetooth. The apps are sluggish, and by the time I connect my phone (iPhone 4S) and pass by all (4) warnings to connect and run an app, I could have just as easily used my phone and been on my way. The voice recognition is better than the 2011 but still lacking. But on the upside I can now import my entire contact list! GPS is ridiculous. It takes you by way of Fishers Fence no matter what settings you have. I was under the assumption that it would alert you to traffic on your route and reroute, but it does not. It APPEARS you have to go to the traffic app for a separate list of traffic issues. While sitting at a traffic light looking at the next intersection (1 block) where I knew I needed to make a left turn, the Camry GPS told me to turn right, go down 3 blocks, turn left, and back 4 blocks to reach the same intersection. The seats seem to be wider. My 2011 seats seemed to hug me just right (5'9, 145lbs) but these seem wider, or something, and it just feels "odd". Overall I still love my Camry and more than my friends new Acura TSX, but am rather disappointed in some of the things I was initially looking forward to. Hopefully an entune software update will come out fixing some of these issues. Bring back the LED lighting, and auto passenger window and I'll be a happy camper. Great ride, and pep! Just think twice before buying all the "fun" stuff.

Oh come Now=the Americanization of Toyota

Set aside that 35 mpg-This lemon gets 27 on a good day.i didn't know Toyota has now joined GM in selling us a fairy tale.No key for the trunk-just pop it witha 350 key-Don't lose it don't break it .A little key costs as much as a set of tires.Ever try to iopen the trunk in the ice and rain at night-It would be nice if they could have included a key hole.Radio is typical scratchy Toyota. I owned 5 Toyotas at once-Never again. The 2005 got better gas mileage. The update of this classic is stunningly incompetent. The mirrors are smaller,The donut may get you a few miles but it is so small I shiver to think what driving it in rain, snow and ice is going to be like.Remember this is the caqr company that gave us instant acceleration and lessons in braking an accelerating car. All in all i don't think I'm still a fan.

Great Car, great for everything

Comfort and Ride is smooth. Looks Great inside and out. Acceleration smooth and quick Everything feels like top quality materials and no rattles. Can get 40 mpg with Auto or Manuel on the highway with gently acceleration. Going up hills is okay and will struggle to pass if your car is fully loaded.

Uncomfortable Seats

It has been 10 years since I bought my last car. I was sure there would be great improvements. So I went with the Camry LE. Love the handling, power and quiet ride. However, the seats are so uncomfortable I dread getting behind the wheel for any length of time. I am getting desperate, not sure what to do.

Maybe I got a lemon

I purchased the car because I had heard so many people say they were happy with their Camrys. Two days after purchase, the first time it was on the highway, we noticed a bad rattling sound. It was bad enough that we returned to the dealer who said nothing was wrong and charged us $150. We continued to notice the rattle along with a lot of, what we thought was, condensation in the car. After driving it a distance on a hot day, the interior front floor was literally wet. Again we returned to the dealer. This time there was no denying a problem, so they kept the car. The diagnosis: "A/C drain hose was inside of vehicle, not outside through firewall." The solution: "moved drain hose to outside, removed console assy, removed front and rear seats, removed front and rear carpet and let air dry, cleaned inside floor boards and sound deading material, replaced all interior with seats, carpet, added freezy fresh, numerous clips missing prior to start." When we went back to pick up the car, it wouldn't start. They "charged up the battery" and said it would be fine. It isn't, starts sometimes. The car when returned to us was dirty, had scratches on the hood, and smells inside like mildew and chemicals. By the way, all this and I haven't made the first payment yet. Will go back this week, not holding out for a good resolution. Dealer appears to not want to be bothered. Sorry, it looks good, but who cares if it won't start? I didn't buy it to look good sitting in the driveway.

Great car value

This car looks sporty and is extremely well appointed inside. Great gas mileage. I splurged for all the extras, like heated seats, keyless entry, sunroof, leather. I am completely satisfied with this car.
