The Future is NOW!!

Best vehicle we have ever owned. Quite an experience to drive down the road without the engine even running. We got the 50th Anniversary, quite a head turner.

unbelievable vehicle

memorial day will mark a one year love relationship with our camry hybrid. frankly, it's the finest auto we have ever owned in 40 years. with 6800 on it, zero problems. it can come close to achieving epa figures provided you are aware how to drive it. obviously, a/c or heat will push these figures down. best mileage, 41mpg and worst 35mpg (when we first got it) both in town. hiway avg is in the uppper 30s. visibility is excellent, it has enough power for us (we're not speed demons), plenty of interior space, glove boxes, lights, etc. the trunk is small so several big suitcases won't make it. too bad the federal tax credit has been reduced. the $2600 we received priced this car right in line with other camry's. is the car worth it. you bet! we drive in comfort with all the safety features that exist, and get a perverse kick out of watching the faces of suv owners as they fill up along side of us. every time gas prices rise we pat ourselves on the back for making such a wise purchase. can it be improved? yep - how about a higher capacity plug in battery pack, wood trim interior and power passenger seat. the sun's glare off of the dash mat reflecting onto the windshield is somewhat annoying. this car rates 5 stars

Best Techno for a Proven Winner, but Bad Teeth.

I bought the Camry Hybrid after testing the Prius and Honda Civic. For comfort, styling and reliability, Camry has always been exemplary, and the new Hybrid takes all these standards to a new higher level. Before writing this review I tried to think of a negative factor discovered post purchase. Okay. Hold on to your socks, if you do wear socks with your Berkinstocks. The smiling grille on the Hybird is not the same color as the rest of the car. It is fake chrome. That's how you tell if the new Camry you just saw is a Hybrid instead of just another gasser. That fake chrome is very susceptible to spots that won't buff out. Cheezy accent, aye? Another detail that is harder to pick out at 65 mph is the HYBRID logo on the front fenders, and the small Synergy-Drive logo on the trunk. Don't get me wrong. I don't want to flaunt my Hybrid-ness, b ut the ugly spots on the grille bug me. Otherwise, Toyota has come through with another awesome product that is sure to sell. U>S>A take note. It will be interesting to see if the battery warranties last the life of the cars. Hummers have an ad that is comparing cost/reliability of them to hybrids. I had to choke off my guffaws. More power to all you buyers who pay for the technology that saves Carbon pollution while enjoying reliable comfort.

great mileage in a quiet comfortable package

I bought a loaded hybrid with leather, moonroof, & nav. great mileage and comfort. its only shortcoming is somewhat spongy handling and braking that feels different than a conventional drivetrain but is easy to get used to. Pickup is adequate, if unintersting but I bought the car to change gas consumption not to roadrace my fellow commuters. An impressive vehicle all around.

1st Toyota I've Owned

This is the first non-GM car I have ever owned. It is extremely comfortable, excellent on gas (I have the Hybrid), and a real head turner. I have been pleasantly surprised at how well it handles and would buy another one.

This car is overall a great car!

My friend owns a 2007 camry hybrid. I really like it, its EXTREMELY smooth and comfortable, the back seats have PLENTY of space, legroom, and the seats are super comfortable. the car rides smoothly, has all the features and knick knacks you'd want. i think that the prium package one can be a bit pricey, and some of the interior parts are a bit cheesy in my opinion. especially in my friend's there is this one little squeek that ANNOYS THE HECK out of me!!! and the front bumper dents WAY to easily at the corners, my friend bearly swiped another car and it looks like someone took a hammer and beat the living heck out of it!!! hopefully it will be cheap to replace! anyway. over all the car is GREAT! it has great gas mileage, its very quite and comfortable. the ONLY thing is (the prius is like this too) is it has HORRIBLE gas mileage when driving up hills, and you literally have to floor the thing, the throttle is not sensative enough in the cars and when going up hill flooring it can get noisey, in efficient, and annoying. other then that, its a GREAT car and i highly recomend it.

No hesitation - great mileage - very sleak

I love the dependability of my new camry. i've only dreamed of owning a luxury car and have severe reservations about contributing to the oil based economy. the Camry Hybrid is my solution to it all. I love it. the athletic style is agressive and modern, while the fuel economy is right in line with my personal polotics. the moset sophisticated tech on the market, and definately the most reliable. Thanks toyota.

Great Car!

I have had my Camry Hybrid since early June. I have driven it over 6,000 miles with no problems. I live in a high desert environment. The climate control kept the interior temperature quite comfortable. Our gas mileage stays between 38 and 42 mpg depending on how careful we are on starts, anticipating stop lights, and highway miles. Highway mileage, with the cruise control on, runs closer to 41 mpg between speeds of 65 and 75. I have taken longer trips. My Camry hybrid is comfortable during days of travel. Oh, the trunk space is limited. It is not a problem for me, but it could be if you have lots of luggage. I am delighted with the dash displays. If you are a gadget oriented person, the displays are neat! The dash lighting is a touch bright for night driving, even when dimmed as far as possible without turning off the dash lights. The car is not the cheapest car going. It will cost more than bare bones cars, but it comes with a lot of features. I think its cost compares well with cars having similar features.

Camry Hybrid not ready

I wanted to save gas many so I bought this car but it has been a disaster. The elteric motor I hav majoir problems with it and I have spend a lot of money fixing the motor. I hate the extior. The car looks more like a frog then a car. What happened to Toyota cool exterior. I really don't think Toyota is ready for a Hybrid.
