I am almost totally satisfied with my 2009 Toyota Corolla. I noticed when I got home, that the reverse light lens cover has a pink tint to it, it would look better if it was clear. How can I get this replaced?

The 2009 is great a little car

My wife just bought a 2009 LE model in early May and are very happy with it. She had a 2003 LE Corolla with 150,000 miles which was running great which she gave to our son. The noticable improvements over the 2003 is its quiter, easier to turn thanks to electronic power steering, rides nicer and seems to have more interior space. We like the new design even if it didn't venture to far from the previous model. My daughter also drives a 2004 Corolla S model so at times we have 3 Corollas sitting in the driveway parked behind my Sienna Limited. Bottom line its a great little car and even though the mileage is rated less then the 2003 it is definitly getting better gas mileage.

2nd Generation is better than 1st!

I was a reluctant Toyota purchaser when we bought our 1999 Corolla. Well the son is getting that one and we got the 2009. We were going to buy a Prius, but timing is everything and they were all out (or asking way too much) and so we "settled" for the Corrola. It is better than anticipated getting great MPG (wife drives it and she is a bit of a lead foot). Still getting over 32MPG and we haven't even taken it on the road yet. Much bigger and extremely quiet. Styling is awesome. I love all of the special options for MPG, and having the 6 CD player was great (with MP3 capability, I doubt I have enough music to play). Also comes with ability to play mp3 player. My wife has indicated it has great pickup (lead foot...). Oh, for her we ended up passing on the silver and got the red one. Our conservative sports car. We love it.

Already trading in...

PROS: its a toyota, resale value. CONS: estimated fuel mileage OFF imo. (27 city/ 35 hwy) you have to drive with a lead foot to get this car going on highways and up hills with its tiny engine...which strains the engine and reduces mpg. Im AVERAGING 22 mpg. (70% hwy 30% city). The exterior styling is bland. Interior sub-par to competitors. Rear seat room. Brakes grab. Body feels flimsy. Poor value for money. Im trading it in after 1 month of heck. BAD choice...dont get this car. Im buying a tC or Altima.

Toyota quality with slight annoyances

Just purchased a new base model Corolla and I'm quite satisfied with this vehicle. I am upgrading from an '87 Camry that died recently. Although I loved the quality of my 1980s Toyota, the standard safety features sold me on the lot. I had contemplated buying a Yaris, but airbags are a very rare option to find at a dealer. Pros: Fuel economy is excellent (approx. 32 MPG combined), overall nice exterior and interior design, very comfortable seats, logical radio and dash, relatively roomy, very quiet operation, iPod aux jack, and excellent standard safety features. Cons: Steering is bizarre at high speeds. This is the only real complaint I have about the vehicle. The steering is aligned correctly, but is very vague. I hope that Toyota can improve this somehow. This is a brand new design, so I'm willing to suffer with some slight annoyances until they work out the bugs. Overall, I got what I paid for: A reliable, high-quality Toyota that is economical on gas but a little conservative in some respects to performance and handling.

Best car ever owned

I bought my Corolla S on feb 10 with 1.3 miles on it. So i am the first real person to drive it other than the person that took it off the truck and parked it at the dealership. I really love the updates to this car from last year. It is so much bigger and tons more room than you would think for a toyota corolla. I traded in a 2001 chevy s10 pickup so it a different feeling driving this car from a truck, but let me tell you it handles great and I feel so comfortable in this car. I am 6 feet 3 inches tall and fit in it with no problem! I have now driven 3300 miles in two months and the gas milage is good, I get about 36-38 on the highway and about 29-32 in the city. The 130hp engine might seem like it will be slow getting onto the highway but it really isn't bad. if you try to get onto the highway and have to climb a high right away like some area around my house it slow, but if you on flat ground it really does move faster than you owuld think for a little 4 cycle engine. I love this car and hope to have great luck with it because i see so many corolla on the road still that was made in 1980's so i hope this lasts 10-20 years too....not saying i would still be driven it then but be nice if i could get 10 years

No impressed, I bit worry.

I just bought my Corolla XLE last week with 18 miles on it. I love this updated body style on the Corollas. The Corolla doesn't break any new ground, but the styling is elegant for the compact segment. Making its first impression is the electric power steering; while such system produce vague steering feel, it is pretty comfortable and easy to drive at lower speed. On the highway it gets tossed around easily and watches those corners because handling is hazy. I?m amazed that cruise control isn't included in the very pricey $17550 XLE base price and it still uses plastic hubcaps whereas most of competitors use alloy wheels in their upper versions. Alarm system is activated at dealer for only $600.00! Noise is the annoyance in the interior: brakes noise when it?s released at lower speed. Normal road vibration starting around 20 miles per hour creates dash noise and it squeeks, which get hided for wind noise around 55 miles per hour. When stopped in an intersection, you feel small vibration on the steering wheel that reminds you the engine is on. It doesn?t happen with my previous Honda Civic LX 2003. Gas millage isn?t as good as my Civics? neither. At this point my only hope is the reliability and reputation of previous Corolla version remains for this 2009 model.

GREAT CAR

I had looked at many other cars before I had decided to purchase this one. I found that this vehicle was the most stylish out of all of them except possibly the Mitsubishi Lancer. Though I chose this car because of the phenomenal gas mileage and history of reliability. One of my main concerns when choosing this car was how the steering would feel. This was because there were many reviews that said negative things about it. After I had driven it however I found that there was nothing wrong with the cars steering at all. The 132hp engine is big enough for me and I love this car.
