Great Value. Great Car.

This vehicle is fun to drive. Beautiful inside and out. It also has a great price which allows the buyer to add many features with the money saved. I put in a sunroof and tinted my windows! I really love this car. Great pick up, smooth drive, quiet ride.

2011 Corolla S

Clock is in a bad place. You have to take your eyes off the road and look down towards the shifter under the radio and under the heat/ac controls to find the clock. Car downshifts on it own all the time. Dealer says its normal its the elctronics and its normal. Problem is at a slower speed it almost feels like it jumps from drive down to 1st on its own on the automatic trans. But when you are coming off a moutain or on an interstate speed instead of down shifting when you let off at a higher speed it excells. Dealer again says normal. The car is worth the value but seats are uncomfortable also. It seems to have a sporty exterior with a bottom basic interior.

great car

Fantastic car. Positive: GREAT fuel mileage. It advertises 34 mpg, but the fuel economy computer indicates that I average about 40 mpg on flat land at 65 mph. Great audio system, love the USB/mp3 aux input. Smooth ride for a smaller car, plenty of room for all passengers. Telescoping and tilt steering wheel. Negative: does not have a lot of power, but chances are if you're looking at a corolla, speed off the line is probably not that important to you. Some minor comfort issues, such as wishing the armrests for the driver were slightly higher than they are, but that is minor.

Best Compact Car for the money/options

After looking at many small cars Honda/Nissan/Ford Etc... The corollo was the best deal overall with the price and options. Currently going on 8000 miles in just 4 months and this car has not been disappointing. Buy another -- no brainer, sure would.

Good quality and gas mileage

The main reason for not giving this vehicle and excellent rating on all accounts was the lack of bluetooth compatablity and satellite features. I purchased the s model top of the line everything. Toyota really needs to upgrade the stereo to meet the competion. The stereo is plain Jane even though everything else seems to be of high quality

Great looking economical car,big bang for the buck

I purchased a 2010 Corolla S, pretty much loaded and it was an excellent deal. I drive 147 miles round trip for work each day and it gets 37+ hwy miles. So far I am very impressed with this car. There are a few minor adjustments that should be corrected...like the adjustments for the mirrors, put in a bad spot, and the adaptors for GPS, etc are not in good spots. But for the price and great gas milage, you cannot beat this car. I know I have a good investment, and will be able to sell it with no problem, to purchase a new one when the time comes, as I put so many miles on a car. I test drove a several Volvo's and BMW's and could have several of these Corolla sports models for the price of just one car!! I am very pleased so far. Toyota, keep making this car better and better, and I will keep buying them.

Decent Economy Car

I purchased my 2011 Toyota Corolla S in late May 2011. The car is black with a rear spoiler and sunroof. I currently have 4100 miles on my vehicle. I would have like to rate this car a 3.5 but the option doesn't exist....even though the value weighted average would indicate a rating of 4, for me the flaws in this vehicle overshadow the positives. Positives: -Good value for your money -Toyota care was included (2yr/25k free routine maintenance) -Excellent finance rate (1.9%) -Wonderful body design...I especially like the profile of the vehicle -One touch power sunroof -One touch power driver side window -So far excellent reliability & no mechanical/electrical problems -Very good handling & comfortable ride -Superb gas mileage...I've average for all miles 26.6 mpg, 70% city / 30% highway -Comparably quiet interior, even on the highway -Chrome outline gauges, and a fairly nice dashboard display -Power mirrors are easy to operate -Good trunk space -Split fold seats -Audio control on steering wheel is a nice luxury -Big glove box Negatives -Lagging acceleration in the automatic transmission...For low speed city/suburban driving the acceleration once moving is adequate; on the highway (when passing) and from a standstill is atrocious (IMO) - I test drove the 5-speed manual, and it was definitely a little more nimble -Transmission shifts smoothly, but is just too unresponsive for my taste...again this is quite annoying when needing to pass on a highway especially if there is an uphill grade in the road -The radio/cd player display becomes almost impossible to read to due its contrast in bright sunlight -The cloth interior seat are not necessarily what I wold consider "comfortable"...however they do give you a nice high ride in the vehicle. I find that as the seats have "broken in" that now they conform to my body a little better -Driver side window is not one touch, and passenger side window is not one touch to close -I find that in a quiet cabin that the power steering can be a little noisy -Drivers floor mat is almost is starting to degrade already with only minimal wear -A/C gets cold quick, but on a 90 degree plus day, it definitely is lacking, even at maximum setting w/cabin re-circulation -Climate control knobs are a little cumbersome to operate -**STEERING** - This is by far my biggest complaint and the sole reason this vehicle gets 3 stars instead of 4....Please advise of this issue: When driving this vehicle in a straight line, you will notice that that steering is very "washy" in the sense that you are constantly making very minor corrections to the wheel, so it makes you constantly need to steer! Note that in actuality the car isn't pulling to the left or right...rather that the wheel is just constantly needing to be corrected, albeit however minor. In the beginning this really bothered me, but I have now become almost accustomed to the drive, so it irks me less. To recap, the 2011 Corolla S is an overall decent purchase and it definitely represents a good value in its class. If you can deal with the steering "issue", I would recommend the car, otherwise it might be a prudent idea to go with another vehicle. In my opinion it would be a prudent idea to seriously consider purchasing any other vehicle before buying a 2011 Toyora Corolla. Thanks for reading my review!
