While the '16 Highlander looks great and has the power I'm used to in a Toyota, I'm planning to trade this in as soon as possible. The #1 reason is the seats are extremely uncomfortable which is unacceptable for the price of the vehicle. Next, there's a LOUD wind tunnel noise when the back windows are rolled down, so much so that I can't leave them rolled down if I'm going over 40 mph. Finally, the second row of seats doesn't fold flat, so it's impossible to haul anything that's long and large. My former Sienna minivan allowed me to fold the back seats flat so I could haul just about anything. Not the Highlander. The second row of seats only slides forward slightly and won't fold down flat which is so frustrating. Missing the comfort and trunk space of the Sienna!!!!

Replaced my old Highlander with this one

The vehicle is comfortable and easy to drive long distances. It is well built and resulting in little maintenance. Just replaced the tires after 60,000 miles and even ware.

It's a Toyota Very reliable & exceptional comfort

Everything is great ride, comfort and value. My only slight ding is gas mileage 18-24 MPG It looks good, sits up high and has nice apps and features.

Some features leave room for desire

GPS system is difficult to use and not reliable. Sun glare during day makes screen near impossible to see. Seat are very uncomfortable for smaller person (my wife is 5' 3" - she doesn't even want to drive the car). Tethoring error constantly for Pandora connection. Good engine response and great radar cruise control.

A great vehicle by Toyota! Best I've owned!

Fulfills every need I have in a vehicle. Very decent gas mileage, great acceleration, very comfortable ride, extremely reliable, and fun to drive. Navigation and rear view camera are excellent, as is Bluetooth connectivity.

Spacious

I have owned this car for a month and I absolutely love it! I was torn between the Highlander and an Explorer. Although I liked the exterior design of the ford, the Highlander has more leg space and is much easier to move the seats back and forth.

5 happy tall people in a Highlander

The one thing I want to comment on that you might not find in other reviews is the fit for a tall family. We are a family of 5 - 3 teenagers range in height from 5'11" to 6'5" (and we have 2 still growing) So leg room in the second row was of high importance. This car accommodates our family so comfortably. Even my 6'5" son has enough room in the back with my 6'4" husband in front of him. Everything else about the car is as wonderful as the other reviews. We could not be happier!

One of best autos I?ve ever had.

Excellent ride, no maintenance problems. Descent gas mileage. More than enough horse power. Loaded with gadgets. Would recommend to anyone looking for a luxury style car.

All around best vehicle I've ever owned.

The vehicle looks great while still being very functional. The 3rd row seats are easy to setup and fold nice and flat. Ride is quieter and smoother than the RAV4 (which I've also owned and loved that vehicle as well). Lots of interior storage bins/compartments. Acceleration and handling are good. Not quite as expensive as a luxury vehicle but feels almost as nice (without the luxury car headaches).

Excellent Ride

We downsized from the Land Cruiser and love this car. Great design, comfortable, travels well on vacation, great gas mileage, and good cargo room. If it lasts as long as the Cruiser did, we will be happy (21 years)!
