Great features and value for the money
We got the XLE package with the captains chairs in the second row. Great option as you can access the 3rd row a lot easier, which is great when you have kids. It also gives the passengers in the 2nd row a nice armrest. It's kind of like having a minivan, yet you're not driving a minivan! Also love the Toyota Safety Sense. The radar controlled cruise control is super cool, you can just set your speed and not hit the gas or brakes for miles.

Want to get rid of it already
I have had this car for less than 2 months and I want to get rid of it already. I paid Toyota to install a DVD player and it doesn't work. We have taken it back twice and they still can't figure out why the sound keeps cutting in and out. I was driving around the other day and the entire ceiling light with Sunglasses holder fell down and smacked me in the face! I've had my brand new 2017 for less than 2 months and it's been in the shop 3 times!!!! I called Toyota 3 times about the light and they promised to call me back in 5 minutes, it's been 1 week and still no call back. They only care about selling the car, their service department is the worst and they don't call you back (happens every time you call, you just have to keep calling). I have always heard amazing things about Toyota but after spending over 40,000 on a brand new car and they don't even care enough to call back when things fall out of the ceiling and smack someone in the face why would I ever buy another one let alone keep the one I have? The only time they will actually reach back out to you is when they get a bad review, I am devastated by the treatment we have received thus far. I'm going back to Subaru.

I really like this car! I thouroughly enjoy it!
This is exactly the car I need. It is VERY spacious in the front and second row. The third row has more room than expected. I would not have bought a different car, even if I had more money to spend on one.

Safety features are amazing
We bought this vehicle for my wife as a new car and a family car , the dealership we purchased it from , Freedom Toyota , was one of the best car buying experiences we had . All the safety features and the Toyota safety sensing system is so far all that it's advertised , the ride of this SUV is very smooth and quiet . Overall extremely happy with our highlander .

Best SUV I have ever driven
This car is a blast to drive, it is super quiet, sneaky quick, and we are getting 25 MPG (we drive alot on the highway alot). We were able to fit 8 people into it, all aged around 30, and although it was a little tight in the back, I didnt hear anyone complain. Lot of technology to get used to and trust, but it can be pretty simple once you get it set up how you like. We have owned it since start of May 2017, and I love it!

Excellent handling and reliability
Have owned many new cars during our lifetime. The Toyota Highlander has been one that rates above all the rest. Good design, comfortable, reliable and all the modern bells and whistles.

Great styling, great ride
That's it. looks great , rides good with limited road noise. SE with black grille nice should be available on other models. The Stop/start feature is obnoxious and annoying. There is no permanent way to override just remember to turn it off when you turn the car on. If that feature fails you are in a world of problems. It's interpreted with everything including AC. The vehicle jumps when you take your foot off the brake with this feature. The 295hp engine is sluggish and slow to accelerate. GPS has not improvements . With a price of $41,000 it should come with the JBL sound system. AWD is untested at this time. LE Plus is the best value with Google maps off your phone and no start/stop feature. Tow feature should come factory installed

I ADORE it even more than I knew I would.
I owned a 2005 Highlander for 12+ years. It never even hiccuped. My husband insisted I needed a newer vehicle. I did 8 months of research and had specifics I wanted. Every other vehicle I looked at required purchases of packages to get these items that included many things I did not want. Everything I wanted came standard on the Highlander. Yes, it came with some things I didn't care about (sunroof, running boards)... But nothing annoying (DVD players, park assist, etc.). I was never uncomfortable in my 2005, but didn't realize how comfortable I could be!!! AND the was less than $1,000 difference in price between my dream car and the nearest competitor. I adore my car. If you want comfort, style, dependability and safety.... This is it! PS...I highly recommend the Captain's seating in the second row! I'm very glad I went that direction over the bench seat. Makes third row seating even more comfortable for legroom.
