Absolutely beautiful vehicle

The design of the 2019 Highlander is stunning both inside and out. The Limited AWD model is everything you could ask for in a mid-size SUV. Technology and comfort abound everywhere you look and the standard options on the Limited leave nothing to be desired. Simply a terrific automobile!!

Toyota

This car has everything! I especially needed back seat air vents & side window shades. I also needed the extra cargo space for traveling or hauling stuff locally.

Excellent vehicle

The vehicle is very reliable and offers generous amount of leg, and cargo room. Also, it has various charging ports, cup holders and of room for storage. The vehicle is just very sleek and elegant. Love it!

Great to be back in the Toyota family.

This SUV is one of the best from Toyota. It meets all my needs from the design to the comfort of it. Rides smoothly and is easy to handle.

Feels like a step down from cheaper Ford Explorer

Since I’ve not owned the 2019 Highlander limited for long enough to speak about reliability I couldn’t rate that aspect. I already regret having traded in my 2017 Ford Explorer for it though! The Ford set up for GPS, radio, phone etc. was way clearer and easier to use, I preferred the Ford blind spot indicator system, the Ford had a forward sensor system with visual indication of what corner of the car was triggering the alarm and was overall more user friendly. So far I haven’t managed to get my iPhone connected - it refuses to connect, my kids phones are all connected, I have yet to get voice command to work for anything and every time I switch the car back on the ac is at full blast even though I set it to how I like it for my last trip. The screens never seem to stay on the displays I set them up for - I want all of these things as a set and forget set up, which worked wonderfully on my Ford. I have neither the time nor interest to reconfigure every function of the car for every trip! As far as the exterior look of the car goes - it wasn’t bought for looks! Personally I find it pretty ugly but was told that superior functions and build quality would make more than up for the unappealing look of the car and that the better mileage was worth giving up my beloved Explorer for. I changed from the Explorer to avoid their 2020 change to rear wheel drive but I am counting the days until I can trade in the Highlander already. I regret having allowed myself being talked into buying it. I doubt I will buy another Toyota

Love my Highlander

Easy to drive, navigation is easy to use, seats are very comfortable, quiet, great ride, no engine noise inside. Wonderful stereo sound, uses regular gas, has all the technology and then some that I’ll ever need. 5 ⭐️ Safety rating, crash test and best reliability score. I’ve had a ACURA MDX and honestly I like my Toyota Highlander much better, their info system is more user friendly. I bought the limited platinum trim level and it has every option I could think of!! Highly recommend the Highlander!

Great upgrade from our RAV4

Our lease was 4 months away from being completed on our 2017 toyota RAV4. We were contacted by the dealership asking if we had given thoughts to a new RAV4. I replied "no way, hate the new design & I plan to turn in lease and get a VW or Honda." They called back a few days later and asked if we wanted to test-drive a Highlander & they offered a nice lease deal. We drove it and loved it. They paid off remaining 4 mos of RAV4 lease and obtained a Highlander XLE in the color we wanted from a dealer in Ga. Everytime I drive it, i am surprised by how much I like it!!! Love the new safety features, leather heated seats, navigation, seating for 7 (captain chairs in 2nd row), huge interior cargo space, push button start, sunroof, the numerous outlet's for phones, etc; the excellent ride and handling. My only complaint is the exterior color choices and I wish it had self-dimming driver side mirror and mirrors that fold end when locking vehicle. Otherwise, strongly recommend it.
