Best Car I've ever owned

Traded in a 2006 Prius on this one and would do it again in a heartbeat. Anyone buying a new car in this catagory of price and conomy is crazy not to buy a Toyota Prius.

Low Noise, Good Interior Space and Great Mileage

The Prius is well designed and manages to feel spacious inside, despite its small size. I find the low noise levels on the road, combined with a good sound system, a pleasure to take on trips. It goes without saying that the mileage was an important factor in our purchase.

Ist Time Hybrid Owner - REALLY like the Prius

Have had my 2010 Model V for over a year now - 12,00 miles. Trouble-free. I drive it like a "regular" car and get 48MPG. Mine has the 17" tires. I love the exterior styling - GREAT job Toyota - esp with the V model. The interior, nice design - but for the money, too plasticky. Would be nice to have soft-touch surfaces. And the interior color offerings are horrid. Bisque, gray and dark gray. The bisque, which I have is too light and too monochrome. Why couldn't they have designed the colors with a bit more flair. That's about all I can pick about. Great job otherwise on interior - love 'the console bridge'. Minor controls and backlighting can be improved. LED headlights are wonderful but could provide a bit more distance lighting. Oh - the dash display is kind of dull - could use more colorful and up0t0-date graphics like Ford. The AC and Radio displays are so 1990's - the LCD green type. Tough to see in daylight. Even though it's a hybrid - how about power seats? It's a wonderful car and I plan to keep it for 8+ years. Glad I bought the latest technology.

Fabulous gas mileage

I have about 2600 miles on my new Prius and I'm averaging over 60 mpg. It has a nice comfortable ride and is a pleasure to drive. The only possible drawback is that to get good gas mileage you have to drive conservatively. Many impatient drives will tailgate you, even when you are going the speed limit. It seems like just about everyone is in a super hurry. Buy a Prius and slow down and save money on gas and help out the environment by polluting less!

Use 1/3 the gas

45MPG overall. Good room for 6'1" driver & sousa phone (in back). Good power, handles well, parks & U-turns anywhere. Stiff ride, blind spots right front corner & side pillars & headrest. A/C is great but can roast 12# turkey in summer w/o window tint. Minor inside annoyances. Cruise control holds speed down on downhill. Good room back seats and hatchback. Fun to drive. Love it and love paying only 1/3 of cost of gas for 97 PU w/small V8, OD & hi-speed rearend. priuschat.com is excellent source of info & help.

Highest Rating!

Very pleased with the drive (very smooth); the pickup (not at all sluggish), and of course, the mileage -- averages 47 miles per gallon. Outstanding!

Made A Great Decision!

I used to own a 2006 Hummer H3 Adventure. It was my baby, drove it over everything. Than I got married and the wife is pregnant with our first child (Its a Boy) WHEW! Anyways... I was drinking one weekend and the wife was asleep, we live in NW Ohio and my family is in Central Ohio and hers along the northern coast of North Carolina. With both grandparents that will be wanting to see their grandbaby (will be only boy so far) It will be alot of miles, alot of gas. Here are my Pros. I bought a 2010 Prius III. It came Certified Pre-owned so we got to pay the extra $$$ to have the entire car cpvered for a long time even added the bumper to bumper to it as well. So all worth it. It came with about 19,100 miles on it because it was the dealerships car new but was their loaner as well. 1. I love the AC/Heat, I love how it came with a Navigation/Back-up Camera in it to. 2. I have my CCW so I own a Glock Model 22 which I keep in the provided space beneath the shift knob. 3. It's very roomy and my wife whose 5'0 can see perfectly from where theres the lum bar to push the seat up so she can drive normally. 4. The interior is really sweet, we own a 1lb 3oz Pomperanian puppy who likes to enjoy rides on the room dash. also it looks really computerized as well which gives me a Computer Science major the love for the car. 5. The Exterior is pretty sweet to, I went to Toyota's website to learn more about it with the air dynamics and everything and its pretty smooth. 6. It's quiet. I love it, when you start it, you can't tell. When the gas kicks in, it sounds like a quiet jet engine. Reminds me of a tanks engine sound when just sitting idle. Also when you come to a complete stop, it sounds like the car died, though it's running. 7. I love the roomy back space for the trunk as well, roomy, but if you need additional room, the back seats fold down. 8. Wife goes to school and likes sleeping in the car as well, so she loves how the driver and passenger seats like to fold back completely straight, almost like a bed. 9. For those who are afraid of someone syfering your gas or sabatoshing your fuel tank, it locks shut when you close it. To open it, the unlock switch is inside the car beside the driver seat. This is a feature I love. 10. Now the best part. Average gas prices here in NW Ohio is $2.70. With my Hummer H3 with a 23gal tank it costed me 62.10 a week about $250.00 a month with 14cty & 18hwy I got about 322mi - 417mi per tank. With my 2010 Prius III, with 11.9gal and it costs me $32.13 a week and $128.52 a month (that's if I have to even fill it at all a week) at about an average 55-65cty & 50-75hwy (drove at 75mpg for like 10miles on a newly paved road) so I am getting about 500-650miles per tank sometimes more sometimes less. Depending on driving conditions. Now for things I hate about the car. 1. I don't have a problem with backing up with the mirrior, it has the bar across but my wife hates it. But she does have the backup camera so she is fine with just that. 2. Low to the ground, Bout 5.5" off the ground. Not a problem really, just hate sometimes trying not to hit a curb or the cylinder blocks in a parking lot. *sigh* Other than that, I love this car. Glas I drank that weekend. :) Oh and before I forget, for those of you who like to accelerate fast, Try out the prius take it for a test drive on the freeway. Youll love this car! For the people who love to smother their brakes, their very sensitive to. You will love these ;D

My first Hybrid

We really like the Prius. We looked at the 08 model and just thought it looked cheap inside. They've updated the 2010 model interior and exterior and drives better as well. cars.com helped us get competing quotes from around the area and made our first online car buying experience wonderful. Hassle free and we got the exact car we wanted.
