Mr. Idyllwild

I would recommend this Truck ONLY after fixing the ongoing problems with the ball joints! I have taken this truck where four wheelers dare to go! Good ground clearance! 👍

Bbn ought mine in 2000. Turned lots of heads

The Tundra has the best sun visors in the business..The only gripe I gave is the exhaust manifolds...Totota used too thin a guage steel for the job...they will get pitting holes in thrm...I failed several vehicle inspections with them.I consider them to be a hazzard and should be recalled. No action taken by Toyota on them yet.

Old Trusty

Inherited this truck in 2005 from my father the original owner and it's very reliable with minimal repairs. My only complaint is where they put the starter. It lasted 150k but replacing it was a bit of a job. The truck is very comfortable and it's a good size, kind of in between a compact and a full size. 20 years old and I would jump in and drive it anywhere.

Best truck I've ever owned. So I kept it.

I love my Toyota Tundra Limited. Pulled a very loaded trailer from New Orleans to Tyler, Texas and never missed a beat. Great torque for getting up to speed on the highway. Highest rating of it's time for torque. Most of my driving involved back and forth to work. Bought it with 23, 000 miles now 141, 000 miles and no break downs. Excellent.

Best truck I have ever owned

I have had this truck for over 20 years. The only thing that failed was the coil, best truck I have ever owned. Highly recommend.

Zero mechanical issues after 20 years

The base model is a no frills truck but is an incredibly reliable work horse. The 8ft bed can handle the large items that a truck was made to haul.

Excellent truck!

I bought this truck new in 2000. I got the extended cab and the 2WD- 8 cylinder engine. I have had to replace an exhaust manifold and an O2 sensor in 20 years. Other than that ,just oil changes and new batteries in 20 years. I have 65,000 miles on it. It has been a great truck and still drives like the day I bought it. When I am in a restaurant, I have people come up to me and want to buy it. It still looks great after 20 years so I just tell them that it is not for sale.

Plain truck with Toyota reliability

When I bought this truck I was looking for a basic truck with good reliability for hauling stuff when needed. I had no need for AWD, an extended cab, power windows or locks. This truck has moved each of my kids at least twice (I have three). The topper makes it nice for this. I did add cruise control since I made plenty of trips to the Twin Cities. The six cylinder engine seems to have plenty of power and overall the truck has required little maintenance.
