What a great truck

Great ride. Plenty of power out of the box, no modifications required. Interior space is the best I have ever owned. I have the crew max cab. I am 6'4" and can sit comfortably in back seat with 5" in front of my knees to front seat back rest. Extremely strong engine. Mine came with the TRD exhaust. Great sound. I can't say enough how happy I am with this truck.

Third tundra in fleet

Recently switched from ford 150 to Toyota tundra because doors for the club cab. The back seat is more usable on Toyota because I do not have to open front door to use them.

2012 Toyota Tundra Review

This truck has been a great truck and in 6 months I have put on 23,000 miles with out a problem. It can pull heavy loads which at times are a little much but thats what we do at times. The fuel economy is not great at all but what truck in this class really is. I have owned Ford F-250 diesel trucks and Chevy 2500 diesel and those trucks of course are 3/4 ton but I would say that if toyota came out with a 3/4 diesel I think it would make an excellent truck.

Tundras Really Good Trucks

I have owned three Rams (last 2 only because of NO trade in value towards a REAL truck) and finally decided to take the loss myself and pay up for a real truck (Tundra). Would only have a Dodge if given to me so I could sell to some fool and use whatever I could cheat the new owner out of as partial payment for another Tundra. Rams are truly the poorest investment in a truck anyone could ever make. Truly feel sorry for anyone who buys them or a GM model. Guess they just haven't ever owned a truly good vehicle.

Best Full size truck on the market!

This is by far the best truck that I have ever owned. I bought a brand new Chevy Silverado in 2007 and had nothing but problems with it from 8,000 miles to 60k when I finally sold it. The only bad rating of mine for the Tundra is the price because it is definitely more expensive than a Chevy or Ford in the same class. You get what you pay for is all I can say. Besides, the Tundra and the Tacoma are now more "American made" than the Ford or Chevy. If you dont believe me, look it up!

Hard to replace my do everything truck

Great styling, PLENTY of interior storage space and cup holders, the CrewMax rear cabin is unchallenged. Love the power rear window combined with a hard tonneau makes it great for hauling large items extending through into the cab. The turning radius is wider and less predictable than my old avalanche, the SR5 Tundra needs auto head lamp on feature like most new vehicles, interior lighting is a bit dim and could certainly use some additional lights, perhaps the weakest link is the fuel enconomy. Do not purchase this vehicle if you dont have a gas card, if u travel 50-100 miles per day, or you expect to use less than a quarter tank of fuel a day. I drive approx 65 highway miles a day and use just under 1/2 a tank of fuel.. Great disappointment in this category for a new 2012 Tundra SR5 Crewmax. Other than the mpg issue the truck looks and rides great!

SUCKS GAS

THIS VEHICLE WILL ONLY GO ABOUT 235 MILES BETWEEN FILL-UPS. MANUAL SAYS IT HAS 26.4 GALLON TANK BUT I DON'T BELIEVE IT. VEHICLE AVERAGES 15.2 MPG AND THIS IS MOSTLY HI WAY MILES BELOW 70 MPH AND 1900 RPMS. I HAVE TO START LOOKING FOR TOWNS WITH GAS EVERY 2-2.5 HOURS. WITH A 26.4 GALLON TANK YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO GO APPROX. 400 MILES BEFORE EMPTY. NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!!! BIG INCONVENIENCE

Hooked on Tundra

I purchased my first Tundra in 2009 and i am now on my third. I have owned a 2009 double cab w/4.7, 2011 Crew Max with the 4.6 and just recently purchased a 2012 Crew Max Platinum Edition w/5.7. I never thought I would own a Toyota until a friend recommended I drive a Tundra. I was hooked within minutes of pulling off the lot. The ride is smoothe but not choppy like others I have driven. I drive about 35K miles per year and have never taken any of my Tundra's in for anything other than routine service. Just lifting the hood, you can see toyota's attention to detail in the routing of lines and electrical connectors, giving the engine compartment a clean quality look. Performance is unmatch. The 5.7 is smooth, responsive and packed with lots of low end power and torque. Mileage is not that bad for a big powerful engine. The 6-speed transmission is so smooth, you can hardly feel it shift during normal driving. But when called upon, it shifts down quickly and delivers the tons of power and torque available in the 5.7. The interior styling is Lexus like in my Platinum, with smooth leather heated and cooled 10 way power seats, memory package, sunroof and Navigation. My only negative comment is in some of the trim material. Toyota in my opinion missed the mark on the quaility of trim material for the upscale limited and platinum models. Overall a great vehicle and you just cant beat the quality workmanship, reliability and trade-in, resale value. I would recommend the Tundra to anyone in the market for a reliable truck that is up to anything you can throw at it.
