My wife loves to drive MY truck

This is the third Tundra I have owned. I drive on dirty, bumpy roads daily and end of getting a new one every 5 years or so. The engine runs smoothly, everything has always worked. I tend to trade in only when the beating on the bumpy road starts to shake things up too much. Great InTune radio, plenty of cargo space in the back seat, and a full-size bed I use weekly for hauling stuff. Can't wait to get my next one - only two more years!

In For The Long Haul

I choose car for reputation and reliability. This truck is built to be around. I would not call me frugal but smart. My wife would disagree with frugal. Lol Definitely the way to go!!

Best truck..... hands down.

You will not find a better truck. don't even bother test driving any other brand. Even when you flip 200k oon the odometer, the truck is worth a lot of money.

Very impressive Truck for its size.

I used to own a Ram 2500 with a Cummings 600 Diesel. I don't Ned to pull like that anymore but the tundra comes very close to being able to. For a gas engine truck it's very impressive. My setup can legitimately tow 9,994lbs. The iForce 5.7 L engine puts out 401lb-ft and 381 HP and surprisingly gets about 15.5mpg. Toyota doesn't have any fancy fuel saver tech in it either. No cylinders that shut off, no partial electrical. They do make a flex fuel version but I didn't go with that one. The steering wheel is offset so that took some getting used to and I'm not a fan. Also the entune infotainment system is nice but at the same time lacking. And to be in the "limited" trim level and not have ANY LED lighting from the factory is a huge disappointment when compared to the competitors. But the truck still impresses me enough that I don't think too much about that stuff unless asked.

Great truck.

I loved this truck and seriously considering purchasing one, but the fuel mileage is my only drawback at present. I currently drive Chevy trucks, but the Toyota relaibility is drawing me as well as the longetivity. The issue at present is as follows, buy a Mexico made Chevy for the gas mileage and convenience of knowing the vehicles, or get the more reliable american made Tundra and suffer at the pumps instead of repairs. I read some of the reviews and paid particular attention to the detail difference between the 2013 and the 2014 and i have to agree the 2013 has a more user friendly interior in the way of storage and convenience inside while comfort is about the same. Overall, i think everyone should at least test drive a Tundra with an open mind and i think you will probably buy one as i probably will. I was impressed and i think Toyota has entered into the full size market strongly. A diesel and or a 1 ton and different gearing ratios would be a big help. Not everybody needs 430 gears in a truck and offer 342 or 373's which would kick mileage up closer to 20 on the 342's.

Little women with big trucks

I have the crew max edition and there is so much room! I get a little more than 13 miles to the gallon, but it's such a big truck. I love sitting above everyone, but when I was shopping it seemed like all the front end were so wide, I was afraid of hitting something because I'm so short, but the front of the tundra is so perfect I feel like I can see everything. This truck fits all body sizes and in the last month has shown no signs of letting me down.
