2017 Volkswagen Golf GTI consumer reviews

This car offers one of the best performance package in the market for its price, very fun to drive, and an awesome car in all the aspects. I highly recommend this car for someone who is looking for an affordable car with a good amount of performance.

I know performance VWs very well. From the MK1 GTI, Scirocco 16V, Corrado SLC, R32, and now this 2017 GTI Autobahn. It is as fun to drive and impressive as any of those cars in their day. I was shopping for cars 10-20K higher in price, but I kept coming back to the GTI. This might be the best all around car I've encountered. The performance value is very strong. The torque from the turbo charged engine pulls the car hard. It handles beautifully. The sound from the muffler in Sport mode is highly entertaining. It has ended my Porsche envy for the time being. The finish quality is on par with Audi. The comfort and driving position is outstanding. With the four doors, it's a perfect commuter and easily transports my son safely in his child seat. I didn't buy the car for bells and whistles, but it has plenty of them. Some relatively useless (lap timer, for example) but the forward collision warning and adaptable cruise control is impressive. I also love the Apple CarPlay integration. No more mounting the iPhone to a clamp attached to the A/C vent. I have yet to find a flaw. It embodies all the characteristics of a classic German driver's car. I look forward to my commute every day now.

This is my second gti and it never ceases to blow me away. The attention to detail with the exterior and interior is beautiful. The gti sport exceeds my expectations and I love driving it.

Bought this GTi over 3 weeks now and I am loving every second of driving it. This is my second car to own and the ride, looks, and performance is a great value for the money I paid for it. Would recommend this car if anyone is in the market looking for a 4 door hatchback sports car.

Its a great car! Awesome power and handling. No problem with gas mileage. Roomy and comfortable. The ride is smooth even with having 18" rims standard. So far the best car ive ever owed.

It is the best combination of performance, fit & finish, practicality, features, price and ride. The interior is like a baby Audi, soft touch materials, lots of thoughtful touches like carpeted door pockets which not only look & feel upscale but it prevents things from making noise when driving. Other cars I tested were the Focus ST & WRX. The WRX felt like an economy car with a big engine while the Focus felt cheap everywhere. The Golf GTI gets far better gas mileage, has better fit & finish more available amenities a better ride, bigger cargo area and was cheaper to insure.

I love the gti also own the new Atlas both are amazing vehicles. Gti super fast good on gas. Always wanted sport car yet compact and gti was perfect fit.

Great little car. Very nice interior, responsive steering and quick acceleration, Very powerful brakes and enough gadgets to keep most entertained!

VW's GTI and Golf R are two of the best care on the market for anyone, regardless of your needs. Its got enough trunk space for my kids stroller (a double stroller), enough space in the backseat for two car seats and still enough legroom up front for me (I'm 6'4"). The speed and handling are a dream, whether you're looking to mod it or just take the corners like a weekend racer when you're alone on the highway. In terms of gas mileage, I commute 30 miles each way and I'm filling up once a week.

First car I've ever bought, stick too. Fun to drive and great on gas for a sporty car. Not a big VW fan but the GTI Sport certainly did stand out to me. Really nice car.
