My old car was my third minivan in 15 years. Now that my kids are older and leaving for college, I wanted something that could carry 6 or 7 passengers but was ... well... NOT a minivan. I did some research on late model used three-row SUVs, and found the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. (My favorite of my three vans was a 2005 Nissan Quest, so choosing Nissan was easy for me.) Before I started browsing for cars, I applied for credit through Carvana, and was approved. Next, I entered in all of the information about the van I was trading for the Pathfinder. (Beware -- the trade-in amount is only good for 7 days, and it can change wildly in that time!) I was pleased with the trade amount, and it was great that I could shop for my new car and see my down payment and monthly payment for every car I viewed! My specifications were pretty clear -- AWD, less than 10,000 miles, and never a rental car. I found my dream car a few days later, and started the purchase process. It was quite smooth and the directions were very clear about what documents need to be uploaded. When I went to click on "finalize purchase" (or something like that), a red flag popped up...my trade-in value expired WHILE I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF CHECKING OUT! I got on chat with Carvana staff right away, and they were able to return the trade in value to NEARLY what it was before the expiration. This is something that needs to be addressed by Carvana -- once a customer is to a certain point in the process, those numbers need to be frozen. So we set a delivery time, and the Carvana rep was pretty much on time considering he was traveling 70 miles or so from the Chicago office. Everything was smooth -- signed a couple more papers, took my Pathfinder for a spin, Eric inspected my trade, and I left within 30 minutes with my new car. I would also like to add that I drove directly to my mechanic, so he could inspect the car and make sure I wasn't buying something with hidden damage. 25k dont really buy a lot of car anymore but it does with a hyundai sonata you can get one loaded up with everything thing including the kitchen sink, its fun reliable as all hell, sexy, and the warrany will out last a lot of the buyers, we have had four new hyundais now, two 2015 sonatas, a 2010 santa fe, and a 2010 tucson, all were great, but the sonatas were and still are years later the best bang for the buck, hyundai has come a loooong way and the redesign in 2015 did the trick, sonata is now giving accord and camry a run for the money.

2015 Sonata Eco is a surprisingly fun car

I'm 6'5" so finding a mid size sedan that is comfortable isn't easy. This car has enough legroom for me and headroom to spare. The Sonata has 1.6 Liter Turbo so it gets very good gas mileage, but what surprised me about it is the 7 speed dual clutch automatic transmission. The dual clutch transmission is so smooth and shifts so fast the Sonata Eco is actually quicker 0-60 than the Sonata 2.0 Liter Turbo. My Sonata Eco goes 0-60 in 6.6 seconds so it's great fun to drive. It did very in winter with snow tires.

I had initially gone out to get my murano maintenanced, but ended up trading it in for a 2018 Rogue. Mo did an amazing job making sure i found a car with all the features i wanted. i didn???t really know EXACTLY what i was looking for so i gave him a very short & vague list & he went above & beyond with features i didn???t even expect - down to even the color, all black everything & i literally mean everything, even the rims & emblem! Has a lot room in the car an the trunk

The car drives well I have the 2.4 and it is fairly zippy. Little things I find annoying. The quality of the rubber on the trunk opening mechanism rotted away the key five rubber cracks and falls apart. The sheet metal is fairly thin when waxing the car I have to be particularly careful on the hood because you can dent it. The materials in the interior are not as high-quality as some cars. The car drives well on the highway cruises at 80 miles an hour easily you have to watch your speed. I get about 32 miles on the highway in Florida. In a 55 mile an hour speed limit I have seen 35 to 37 miles per gallon. The car is larger than most people think it is. People get in the backseat with the front seats all the way back and I have a Lotta room they comment on how big it is. The trunk of the car is very big. The back seats fold down nicely so you can stick things through the trunk into the back of the car , Which is very convenient when caring big obsta, Which is very convenient when caring big Objects. The driver seat and passenger seat or large and her long enough under the leg not short like some cars. Unfortunately I have back issues an the back of the seat is not quite comfortable enough for me. But most people are quite satisfied with it. I have an SE if doing it over I will get one with power seat. Traction control light keeps coming on even after the dealer fixed it I have about 63,000 miles on the car mechanically it has been very good. Even though I got a notice in the mail saying that they’re covering the main bearings in the engine to 100,000 miles. This leads me to believe there might be an issue with the 2.4 but I have not experienced a problem

I rented this car for a 3 day trip while my car was in the body shop. It was the only midsize sedan option available. I’ve had a lot of experience with Hyundai via a friend and his shop. The shop owner and his family love Hyundai for their reliability and they find them fun. I’ve driven most Hyundai’s and Kia’s as a result. This made me think this would be an ok car for trip. This Sonata is very much a base model. The 2.4L engine does an acceptable job getting the car up to speed for merging onto the highway. You don’t need to put your foot all the way in to get up to speed. That said; the power does feel lacking compared to other cars in the segment. The steering feel was surprisingly good. I keep the car in “Sport” mode the entire time for the steering feel alone. There is a nice amount of feedback when you push the car into a corner. The seats were adequate. My passenger and I never had a case of “numb bum” from the drive. The cabin is relatively quiet and comfortable. It’s no luxury vehicle by any stretch but it is well laid out and doesn’t leave you hunting for controls. The infotainment screen is lack lustre but does work. It’s a bit small compared to the basic offerings from Mazda or Honda. With the amount of real estate on the dash, fitting a larger screen shouldn’t have been a problem. The upper materials are soft touch while the lowers are hard plastic. Hyundai did a good job of hiding the hard plastics though. You likely wouldn’t even notice the difference in materials if someone didn’t point them out. The back seats have a good amount of leg room. If I had back passengers, I’m sure they wouldn’t complain. Overall, not a bad vehicle. This base model did a great job for the weekend and I would rent one again. I would even consider a better spec’d version for a daily car.

This car meets all of my needs...great gas mileage, good performance, plenty of leg room ans can seat 4 comfortably. The only complaint is the lack of a back-up camera and Nav system/touch screen display. In my opinion all cars from 2014 and newer should have these features as standard options as they are very inexpensive options. However there are plenty of aftermarket factory style plug and play options out there for about $200 so not a real loss if you are a DIY kind of person. This is my 2nd Hyundai, bought my wife a Santa Fe XL two years ago that we also love so overall the car is awesome and I'm 100% sold on Hyundai products!!

I went into the service department today because my wiper blade was not working. I also needed an oil change, and my tires rotated. They were all very nice, they have a really big service waiting area, with toys so my children could play with them while we waited. It did not take long at all. We were in and out of there very quickly. Very nice people and my kids had a blast playing with the toys.

my 2017 sonata performs very poor at low speeds up to about 50 mph. Also ride for any distance very uncomfortable. Seats very hard. I have purchased 2 elantras and this sonata and this one rides and performs the worst of all.

Had it six years and have no plans to replace it. Fills every need that I have for a car. Comfortable, good gas mileage, and never a problem. If I were to look at another Sonata, I would consider the hybrid, but with 30 mpg I don’t see a need to spend more money when this one runs so well.

This is a review of my SELLING experience to Carvana. I listed my car on Craigslist and was approached by an outsider buyer named Jan. She introduced me to Carvana, which I never heard of before, and it's process. She was very helpful and walked me through the process. The first deciding factor for selling to them was that they offered me the best price (vs. CarMax, Auto Nation, Trur Car). Then I realized the process was super streamlined. All I had to do was upload my documents and, after approval, schedule an appointment for the pickup of my car. Carvana sent a truck to COME TO ME to pick up the car. The driver (Lauren?) was very courteous and pleasant to work with, too. The pickup process, which included a one-mile test drive, took no longer than 20-30 minutes. Immediately after loading my car to their truck, I was handed the check, which I immediately deposited without any issues. My selling experience from being contacted by buyer to getting the check took just 10 days! (Would've been even faster if I was more timely with uploading my docs.) I'd highly recommend Carvana for selling your cars!

Lots of room. Power everything. Hauls a when I step on it. Good gas mileage. My only concern and the reason for a 4 is it has front steering issues. Minor but definitely something to consider. Loose joints and or steering issues but Hyundai is the best I have received as far as responding to service!
